I tried this place for the first time within the past week and Im already hooked! As a soup, salad, and sandwich fan, this was the perfect restaurant choice for me. At $8.99 for a pick two combo, this was a great deal, especially for the quality! For the pick two, you can get two of the following: whole sandwich, half serving of soup, half salad. I ordered the Turkey Spinach Artichoke Sandwich and Garden Chowder Soup. Both were amazing! It matters a lot to me where my food comes from, and the fact that they make everything from scratch makes the restaurant all the more appealing to me. It was fantastic how courteous and happy everyone working there seemed to be. I told them it was my first time here and they were very patient as I decided what to order. They must be treating their employees well, because everyone was really happy and seemed passionate about their work. I loved it so much that I went to the new Eagan location within the past week as well to see if the quality was consistent across the board. It is. Whether I go to the Woodbury or Eagan location will just depend on where I happen to be at the time. I really hope Cafe Zupas does well, so Im going to go write a review for the Eagan location as well :)

I didnt realize I had to call in a lunch order at 10 AM or earlier - take out orders full?! No more!? panic! My bosss 50th Birthday & I was about to ruin it if he couldnt have Cafe Zupas for lunch. I braced myself as I walked into an already busy lunch rush. I walked up to the register and explained my situation and the nice young lady smiled and says, "Ill take your order right now and have it ready as soon as I can." Wait. Really?! I couldve hugged her I was so happy. Thank you, Erin for going so far above and beyond. It is people like you who truly restore my faith in humanity. Such a simple act of kindness that went so much further than you can imagine! You certainly made my boss the happiest! Thank you, thank you. PS. The food is delicious as always! UPDATE: Cafe Zupas STILL continues to amaze me! This time I talked to Caitlin in a mad panic over placing a lunch order for over 12 people. She was excellent, helpful and walked me through the entire process as usual. THANK YOU THANK YOU to all of the staff for always accommodating my offices desire for lunch at the last minute (ha ha!) You make my life so easy. Plus those strawberries...!!

My pregnant wife wanted to go to Zupas. Coincidentally, the day she told me I got a flyer in the mail for Zupas. It was good for three days. Those three days were a couple of weeks before we ever got the flyer... So I said "Ill call and ask if I can still use the deal." No phone number on the flyer. So I look up the number online and call them. The phone rang. A lot. A couple dozen times at least. I just put it on speaker and went about my business. They are definitely open. Its 3:30 pm on a Saturday. Right in the middle of the busiest day of the week. After at least a couple dozen rings, it finally goes to voice mail. That makes no sense. So... Im assuming that maybe somebody at Zupas intentionally did something to make me go to voice mail. OK... Well, its probably not voice mail, actually, as it isnt giving me an option to leave a message at all. So I just hung up and am leaving this negative review. Get your act together, kids.

The taste of the food is good, but nothing you cant get anywhere else. However, the portions are small compared to the price, and the add-ons are outrageous! $0.69 for each Tbs of shredded cheese, sour cream, etc., added to the soup. They dont even warn you that the add-ons are extra. Got the kids meal grilled cheese for my daughter... the bread was so hard, she gave up after eating only 1/4 of the sandwich. Judging by the crowd of people eating here though, its obvious that people have no problem throwing their money away. Go somewhere else... you can get a much more reasonably priced meal.

Service has gone down rapidly since new staff has been hired. All sandwiches Ive ordered in the last week to two weeks have been burnt resulting in horrible tasting food.Woodbury has too many good places to eat at dont waste your time with unprofessional staff that dont know how to make sandwiches. Staff also dropped my sandwich on floor and said they were waiting on it to be done when it was actually just on dirty floor like I said before unprofessional staff that needs to either be fired or trained. From what Ive experienced if management doesnt turn things around they will go under.

Always enjoy the food....so many choices. But the last 2 times Ive been here, there has been a mix up at the checkout. First time I was charged for something I didnt order-after waiting for the manager it was adjusted but it was a hassle. And today, they missed part of my order and when I brought it to their attention, the lady said " he just told me you ordered this ". Well, I cant help what he told you. Thats not what I ordered. The transition from placing order to checkout person is extremely chaotic and in my experience, usually results in errors.

I decided to stop here based on the rating since Im new to the area! I went into the wrong door and had to dance around some tables but it was busy. Several were standing before me but the line went fast and my order was taken quickly and I was eating before I knew it:). Staff friendly info on the food regarding: Calorie count and Protein foods.....Informational Chart is awesome! I found Zupas to be phenomenal. Was it expensive? My appetite said: Reasonable

The food tasted great. However, I can make the same thing for a lot less. I think it is ridiculous to charge $0.69 for EACH additional tbsp of topping (sour cream, cheddar cheese, parmesan cheese, etc.). I left there still feeling hungry after eating a half bowl of soup and a small salad. Dont waste your money on soups and salads that you can make that would easily feed four for the price of one of these meals!

My wife and I have eaten here 3 times since they opened in Woodbury. So far we have yet to be disappointed. The sandwiches have been really good. I have also enjoyed the different salad options and dressings that all seem to be "homemade". The only thing I had there that I didnt care for was some red pepper lobster bisque soup. It tasted fishy. Other than that, this place has been a go to over subway for us.

The kale/quinoa salad is a special favorite. Great staff; great selection of foods & drinks. 2 disappointments: First, your so-called "french baguette" is NOT a baguette. It is barely a dinner roll. Stop calling it a baguette! You USED to have an authentic french baguette. Why did you replace it with this tasteless roll? Fail, Zupas. Second, you tend to be stingy with the protein. You can do better!

My family usually loves this place, but the last few times weve come, they can not figure out the checkout process. The girls making the food do a good job, but the train derails at the end. Weve waited 5-10 minutes from the time our food was done and waiting for us until weve paid and received the food. By that time, the soup and sandwiches are room temperature. I would like my hot food hot please!
