My experience was horrible. 1 star is honestly too much for the service and food that wasnt even edible. It was my first visit and my last. My gf and I visited this place because we both can appreciate a good omelette. Its our favorite. We created our own omelettes and when the food was brought out, we were beyond disappointed. They first brought my order out completely inaccurate then we were given what looked to be like a pancake made of eggs. It had no kind of taste and was disgusting. Neither of us ate it and when asked what was wrong by the staff, we explained that we thought we were ordering normal omelettes and wasnt sure what this was. She explained that these were crepe style and we were suppose to specify the kind of omelettes we wanted. We then notified her that we werent asked or given a choice and from our knowledge, we thought an omelette was always an omelette no matter what. We were not offered fresh omelettes the way they shouldve been prepared and we were given a measly 10% off our bill and told the next time we come in, tell them we want an omelette with scrambled eggs. There will never be a next time for me smh. Horrible staff and horrible experience. I even wrote in to tell management about my horrific dining experience and they didnt even have the decently l decency to reply back. Gest Omelettes needs to change their name ASAP!

First off, I only give the place one star because they dont allow you to give 0 stars! These place is terrible!!! And for them to specialize in omelettes (hence the name), thats probably the worst thing on there menu! They dont even use real eggs! WTF!!! When they brought out our omelettes, the eggs looked like Pita bread! They omelettes literally looked like 2 grilled chicken pitas from Coney Island! They seriously use egg beaters and Ive never in life seen omelettes that looked like those and tastes so disgusting! In addition, they charged me $34 for food for me +1. Extremely high price for the worst breakfast food I ever had in my entire life! I dont recommend this place to anyone, EVER!!! But if you must go to see for yourself, DO NOT order an omelette or you may regret that you did!

Waitress was very stand offish. Ordered a Mexican revolution and Belgian waffle. Waitress asked me a question using some local slang I didnt understand. I asked her what she meant 3 times and she just repeated herself to me until I said I am not from around here. Food arrived quickly but I had to flag down a waitress multiple times until I got a drink refill. The Belgian waffle was large like one but not crispy, tasted like it was made from pancake batter from a box. Instead of being crispy it was soft like a pancake. The Mexican revolution looked nothing like the picture and looked unappetizing. Tasted mediocre at best. Will not repeat.

Me n my fiance went here and ordered two omelets. When they came out I thought the waitress got our order wrong because they looked like subs. I asked her were these omelets. She said yeah. We tried to eat them the eggs was flat and tasteless. I then had to confirm again were these omelets so I asked another lady were these eggs she said they bake the eggs it was horrible. Its gets worse the bill for two Orange juice one coffee n two omelets that we didnt eat 34.00 I will never go to this place again it deserves 0 stars

Went to Gest this morning, Redfordfor a Popeye Omelet w/grilled chicken. First off it only contained approx, 6 small pieces of chicken breast & a heap of spinach. Then to top.it off, my omelet was so dark, I agree with the customer who said their omelets looked like 2 fries taco shells. This place has went down in reference to quality since the last time that I had been there. I use to recommend this establishment, but never again. Today will be my last visit. Thank you, but NO THANK YOU GEST OMELET.

Honestly 1 star is too much credit. This place is absolutely terrible. I walked in and they asked us to seat ourselves. Waitress was very unprofessional and lacked everything you want in a server. We got our drinks and then waited over 15 minutes for her to finally come back and take our order. I thought "well how can someone mess up breakfast?". I was sadly disappointed... could barely stomach the "food" and it killed my appetite. But hey, they got the toast right!

Good food. We used to be regular customers HOWEVER. . . . . . We will not be going there any longer!!!!! For two people, we always got the same stuff, it used to be about $18.00. After breakfast today, I was shocked that our bill was $30.00. And the service was awful, the old staff is no longer there, we waited 15 minutes before anyone came to our table. So long Gest Omeletts! You will never get our business again!!!!!!

I am done with this place. I ordered the same thing every time and got a different price. How does a $ 5.95 breakfast turn into $ 7.95. It didnt matter if it was 6am or 3 pm. One answer I got was they were charging for the to go boxes. I have never got charged for that anywhere. Shady people work there and will overcharge you to paf their pockets. Be careful with this place. I will be notifying who I can to deal with them.

I came in at 6:34 AM, there were only 2 other tables, did not receive my food for 30 minutes. I dont know if this is normal for the area but @ home a single omelet and order of hash browns do not take that long. Another table that came before me had to get there food to go as well. Had hair in my food and instead of an apology the server blamed the cook. Food was mediocre, service was poor.

Awful, awful, awful!!! 20 minutes to put in our drink order, hour and a half to get our food. Manager refused to come and speak with us. And when we said we wouldnt pay until we spoke with a manager, he threatened to call the police. Refused to give a discount. Would give negative stars if we could.

Horrible service. We sat down, the waitress gave us the menus, ordered drinks. So far, so good. She comes to take our order, but Im not ready yet. She doesnt come back and its been 15 minutes. I complain and pay for my drinks. They dont even compensate! Awful service.

RUDE! The food took forever, the manager was awful, he wouldnt even come talk with us. If you cant keep up with the orders, hire more staff! We never got an apology for the wait, just a threat to call the police on us when we demanded to speak with the manager.

I am surprised at the negative reviews. I dont believe they are for the same restaurant. I have been to Gest quite a number of times and have never had a bad meal or bad service. The omelettes are always of high quality and service is always prompt and polite.

Found this place by searching Google maps. Had the polish omelet. This was the best omelet I have ever eaten. Service was great but we ate at 3pm so it isnt like they had a lot to do. I wish I was from Redford so I could eat here again!
