this is just based on a take out order we had a few weeks ago.. Previously wed ordered from the three or four times and the food was pretty good. The Vegetarian samosas were dry. The vegetable pakoras were way way over cooked burnt really!! I wished i had checked the order before leaving and they had no business serving them to us! They should of been thrown away and remade! i bet if it wasnt a takeout order they never would have tried to serve us them! They should be ashamed of themselves for not remaking them. The Nan was dry and didnt taste like much. If i had eaten there i would of complained. As it is i have no plans on ever going back which is a shame since its in my neighborhood. Guess i will have to go to JP for my Indian food fix

This is by far one of the best if not THE BEST Indian/Nepalian cuisine restaurant in the entire Boston/Roxbury area. The service is amazing and the staff are so friendly. The owner even comes around when he is there and kindly asks the guests how everything is going and if they need anything. There is one server who works there whose name is Sandeep who gives exceptionally fine service. The food portions for an Indian restaurant are huge! This is usually my biggest pet peeve with many Indian restaurants giving dog food sized portions and still staying Hungary afterwards. The quality of the food is excellent and even people with typical Indian taste buds will be satisfied.

Ihave been eating here for almost a year now. It was my favorite restaurant until recently when the food started to go down hill fast! My last two take out orders have been horrible!!! I always order the same thing so I know how it used to taste. The masala has been watery and weak tasting and the veggie appetizer platter tested microwaved!!! They were hard, dry, and inedible!!! Also, they gave us half of the study that was on the veggie platter and charged us the same amount at they usually did. I am not sure if they changed their chef or something, but I am done with them. In the last year I have eaten their food once or twice a month, no more!!!

Been going there for years. Great food. Try the momo if you like steamed dumplings, especially the vegetarian. They do not travel well- much better hot & fresh, and feature complex intense flavors. The Saag Paneer is superb but not as intensely seasoned at their ample and immensely affordable lunchtime buffet. If you like dosas, (a crepe like dish), or if you like your food mild, do give them a try here they are often made to order at weekend buffet brunch, which is great for veg and carnivores alike. Try the goat curry if you eat meat. For vegs I also recommend the mauli kofta.

Worth a trip just for the Sikorni (aka Sikarni) a delightful, rich yogurt based cardamon dessert. My favorite is the rack of lamb, cooked rare, and the lamb rogan josh. The only thing which has disappointed me has been the Vindaloo, it was sweet not hot and spicy like one would expect. Back when I could do gluten I could eat my weight in chapati and Kashmiri naan. For those of you at liberty to indulge, please, have a bite for me too.

The feeling is very buddhist, very zen. Candles and buddhas here and there and the staff are very happy, friendly and quiet. On to of that, they have excellent Indian food, some say the best in all of Boston. Finally, as a nice differentiator, they also have Nepalese food that you can give a try if you are feeling like straying a bit off the Indian path.

unexpected great food. you get indian, himalayan and nepali food. the place is sort of a train station diner, not enticing at all but, what a food!. although the different sauces look very similar, the taste was totally different. do not expect anything but the food. i ignore if this is the way himalayan and nepali food should taste, but if not, they should.

The food is fabulous - all our favorite indian flavors just blocks from our house. A great deal is the lunch buffet.. dinner is more pricey (which would be fine if the service was more up to par - there seem to be some language barriers). Best thing about this restaurant is that even the fried foods arent too oily.. everything tastes fresh and flavorful.

Worst experience. In the name of biryani they served some crap containing undercooked rice and peas. We ordered mixed grill where the grilled shrimp was uncleaned and semi raw. Same was the lamb. I have never heard of rare cooked meat served in Indian cuisine. I dont know how some people overrated this place.

Always tasty food to enjoy. Very good chai tea. The daily all you can eat brunch is reasonably priced. Good Indian music playing softly in the background: you can carry on a conversation. Nice open airy space with fine Hindu art works to view.

Excellent food, but you should stick to take out. Watched several tables, who were seated after us, order and get drinks and food before we were acknowledged. Not sure why a Tuesday night was difficult to service tables.

Went there because I had a Google Offer coupon and it was extraordinary. The food was great, the staff was very friendly, and the prices were very reasonable. I would definitely go again without coupons. :)
