On the fourth of July my wife, mother, and I were out looking for a decent place that was still open, not easy at 8:00 at night on the fourth of July. . My wife found this on her phone, called, and they were so inviting we had to check it out. Tucked away on a side street we had our doubts, but when we saw it we were immediately struck by the quaint old-fashioned charm of the place. at first we wondered if they had a liquor license and they do - a full service bar. They had my beer, Sam Adams Boston Lager, and my wifes Cosmo was well made; I would have heard it if it wasnt. Our server, Amie (with an ie not y) was outstanding. She joked with us when we joked with her, was friendly and engaging, and was spot on in every facet of our service. The food was not good but EXCELLENT! At ten minutes before ten we were just finished and Amie invited us to watch the town fireworks from in front of the restaurant with the whole staff, other customers, and town folk. In a scene that invoked all the small hometown charm of days gone by in the USA, we were welcomed with open arms to celebrate the fourth with them. It was such a wonderful experience, we may just do it again next year. I highly recommend this place anytime, not just the fourth. An A+

This place used to be good but has gone downhill badly. I visit the area once per year and recently had 3 seafood meals there with my daughters. Not one was worth having. I then asked a few locals and they all agreed things have changed negatively there.. Id skip the Hideaway for seafood until they get their act back together. Oh and the 50 something year old loser sitting at the bar who tried to flirt with my daughter when I left to get something from my car.. you made her feel very uncomfortable the entire time. She never wants to go back. Get a life you creepy day drinking Jucket.

Went there with a friend kind of recently; we went on a Sunday afternoon. The food was bad, and so was the service. My friend had multiple pieces of hair weaved throughout some of his pizza slices and our server did nothing except give him $2 off. What a joke! I felt bad because I talked Hideaway up before we went but now we wont be coming back. Sad to see it isnt like it used to be, but I have heard you should only go during peak hours if you want good food.

The food is excellent.The prices are very reasonable for the portions you get.The service and atmosphere are very pleasant. As for the one other review,well that person doesnt know how to spell correctly so you cant really take his or her word for it. Try them out. You will be glad that you did.

Ive been eating here inside and getting takeout also for over twenty years. Very clean with great service and an exceptional food ( excellent seafood and pizza my favorite!! I highly recommend this establishment.

Small restaurant and bar, but excellent prime rib, seafood, and pizza! They have an unbeatable$10.99 Sunday menu! That includes entree, salad, soup, rolls and dessert!
