The last and final racist experience I hope I will ever have at Club Diner in downtown Lowell. After a night of drinking (water and a whiskey sour, thats one whiskey sour so I wasnt drunk or belligerent), I was waiting for my uber ride by the gas station near club diner. I suddenly needed to pee and my uber ride was 10 mins away. I asked my brother in law William (who is White) where the nearest bathroom was and he told me I could go to club diner and pee because HE HAS DONE IT BEFORE. I wasnt sure because I had boycotted club diner after previous experience of feeling uncomfortable every time I was there because of how I was treated and also because fox news was usually on the screen and the vibe was just that. But I was desperate so... I went up to the counter at club diner with my brother Martin and asked the waitress who has served me in the past if I could please use the bathroom and she flat out told me there was no bathroom. Clearly she was lying, so I asked her where the nearest bathroom was and she said the Worthen (which was closed as it was 2am). My brother simply said Ill buy something so I can use it and she said no, but at that point I was disappointed and knew she clearly did not want me to use it so I left. Because I still needed to pee (Im human), while I waited for my uber, my brother went back and said hell pay for a full meal if I can just pee, no one has to make the meal hell just pay so I can pee. He was told I couldnt because its only for paying customers (that is the mythical bathroom that did not previously exist), so if he paid only he could use it. He asked again and she walked away without answering. Luckily 5 mins later the uber arrived. My brother in law wanted to go back and let her know he had used the facilities before without paying by simply coming in and asking to use the bathroom (sometimes after a night of drinking) but at that point I was just disappointed. My expectations where already low but after tonight, it was just shocking to have my previous perceptions of the place confirmed. My brother, sister, and brother in law were there for me and stood up for me but Im still so shocked by how different Im treated based on the hue of my skin...still.

I have been going to Club Diner in Lowell for over 20 years not because is only 2 minutes walk from my home. Just because it is the best breakfast, lunch & dinner you get fresh and delicious always. The service treats you like family, I mean like family, so treat them with respect and always please and thank you and you will get served well always. They work hard and deal with all kinds of people (drunk people)...lol Now Im hungry!!!

A return engagement to a great "diner experience" Omelets made the traditional diner way; baked beans to die for! Was reminiscent of my childhood days when my grandmother would make the exact recipe. The waitress from a year ago was still manning the counter and provided great service. Highly recommend this "piece of Americana" for diner aficionados and those seeking a good breakfast.

Worst, most bland food Ive ever had. In an old, run down atmosphere. The only reason they are still in business is because they are the only option when you are drunk and want food at 2am.

Food is competently cooked, and service tends to be pretty good even during busy times. Its ordinary breakfast food, but its done pretty well.
