Patty, the bagger was incredibly nasty, rude and attitudinal just now. Please retrain her on customer service or replace her with a more hospitable person who better represents your brand. I dont expect to bicker with an employee who should be assisting me with getting through the line and out of the store in a timely fashion. Manager, Mary McEvoy, Ill be honest, on a "pettier" day, I would have left ALL 42 bags of groceries on your checkout belt with Pattys attitude and taken my VERY LARGE purchase elsewhere. Your store was clean, well-organized and employees in all other areas were models of professionalism and courtesy. Nonetheless, Pattry drug you down from 5 stars to 2 with her horrible attitude. My cashier, Pauline, was professional and the gentleman who assisted us at the seafood counter was awesome.

Not happy with my last shopping. I go to this store almost every week to buy groceries. Went to there again recently, everything went well until I got to the check out area. When the cashier checking out my items, I was preparing my membership card, credit card, and checking the price on the screen. After I paid for my order, the cashier - Melisa, went to the register to her left and start chatting with her colleague. I have to pack all my stuff, which Im not good at. I spent a lot time on packing, the customers after me had to wait for my packing, and during that time, Melisa just keeping chatting with her colleague, she didnt even try to help. Im not sure if its my responsibility to packing after check out, but Im sure Melisa should not have a long chat during her work.

Just about every stop and shop have a funny smell to them. This one was particularly pungent during the last visit. For all the money the store makes you would think they would put some of it into the store. It gets beat up with all the summer time traffic. Would strongly recommend getting most items some where else. Maybe just canned good but nothing perishable. If you are expecting a quick visit during summer you are delusional.

Summer is a horrible time to shop there. Shelves are often empty, wait time at the registers can be very long. Even getting through the aisles can really be taxing. Off-season is much better. However, probably my biggest complaint is that when you find items that you really like, for some reason they never re- order them... So kiss what you like goodbye. Many of my friends have said the same thing.

I mean, its a grocery store! Who likes grocery stores?! That said, the store itself is clean and the staff is friendly. Except the lady that works behind the fish counter. Ive never talked to her, but she stands on a stool and hunches herself over the counter looking down on people like a hawk. She doesnt even TRY to make it appear that shes not blatantly staring at you.

Very friendly staff, surprisingly low prices, and its a very clean store. But its extremely crowded there. Its like the lunch line from grade school. Well. I bet its a whole lot less crowded in the winter. I was there in the summer. Anyways, I recommend it, only if you have patience. If you dont... that will be unfortunate.

Rats running around the carriages by the delivery trucks, flies on, and insude, the fresh roll bins, bugs running all about the fruit AND on the shelves by the cakes....this particular S&S has always been dirty, but this is beyond dirty! This is unsanitary and disgusting! Go to Cronigs, its clean and well run.

I Stop & Shop because it has everything you need, managed to get hot ready chicken the one that I get at Giant Store at Maryland. Staff there are knowledgeable and helpful. I thank Management and Staff to great job that I do for everyone at this busy season. Thanks again,.

Why do so many people have problems with supermarket employees. Youre there to buy food not to make new friends! There is way to much expectation from customers. If customers checked their attitudes at the front door, you wouldnt receive attitudes from the employees

Great selection but the when I handed the clerk a 50 she mistakenly thought it was a 20 and gave me $8.75 change. But when I told the manager that I was owed $37.25 she said to go home and count my money. Lets just say I didnt get my money back
