The food is tasteless and overpriced. We hadnt been to Ogas in years because our last experience there was bad. Theres an older lady that works or runs the place and she was really rude when I asked her about the bean curd. There is a big difference between tofu and what most Chinese restaurants call "bean curd" (which is fried and has a chewy delicious texture). She rudely asserted that it was the same thing and they brought me out a dish of lukewarm tofu, cooked with frozen peas and those little square diced frozen carrots. It was awful! I couldve made the dish at home for under $2. And as I ate it the old witch shot me dirty looks the whole time. Today we decided to give Ogas another chance based on the reviews on this page. I dont know whether the people who posted the good reviews just dont know what good Asian food is, or if they are lying. I thinks its the former...at least I hope so. Today the food was so tasteless we had to add tons of salt and soy sauce (something I rarely do). The Hunan Shrimp got its heat solely from red pepper flakes (a sure sign of a bad chef). The whole dish, esp. the sauce should be spicy. Instead the only spice I got was when the pepper flakes got stuck in my throat. Their sushi is a joke. Real sushi rice is short-grain and seasoned with rice wine vinegar and sugar. Its so good you can eat it by the bowlful. A real Japanese sushi chef would never use the tasteless, long-grain rice that Ogas uses. Yes, they have some interesting flavors in their sushi rolls but I like the spicy dragon rolls from the grocery store (McKays) better and the price is better too. My mother is Japanese and Ive eaten sushi and Chinese food from all over the world, most notably in Tokyo and Kyoto. Ogas is probably the worst Asian food Ive ever eaten any where.

Terrible experience. Service was a joke. Dont waste your $ or time. Ordered from lunch menu rather than buffet hoping the food would be fresher. Wow was I wrong. General Tsoas chicken was cold but the sauce was warm. Fried rice had frozen pees and cubed carrots. It was all Luke warm I had to ask for the crackers and sweet and sour sauce. I believe they had pre done the chicken and just warmed sauce up and poured over. I ate half. When I told the lady who runs the place she just looked at me and walked away. I will never return. Dont waste your time or money. Go somewhere that deserves your business. The Hong Kong restaurant in Lexington park is much better,as everything is fresh and you watch as they cook

I have been to nearly every Chinese restaurant in the county, and Ogas exceeds expectations. This is not "China Panda" style takeout. Expect quality food and a great atmosphere. Myself and my family eat here about 2+ times a week, and rarely have a bad meal. Always clean, always courteous. If you want a value from Ogas, no one can beat their lunch buffet. Under $10, and the food is always fresh. They serve it in very small portions and keep it coming, with a whole array of yummy dishes offered, including FRESH SUSHI, and if you like, you can request a kind from the on-site sushi chef, because he makes a fresh batch about every ten minutes. Could not rate higher; where is the sixth star!?

First of all hair was in two dishes. I said something and the guy didnt believe me. OK. There were roaches crawling around the bathroom and the dining room. I said somehting the guy or the girl didnt believe me. We ordered a bunch of sushi for our family, the guy made half of it then finished all the to go orders. I said you didnt finish our order, my son hasnt gotten his rolls yet he told me to let him eat something else, he was busy. OK i told him to cancel our order. we are leaving. that is when the other dishes (dumplings) came out with hair in them. NEVER going back. It is over priced for what you get. just not worth it, even without the hair.

My favorite restaurant. Period. Best sushi. Best Japenese and Chinese cuisine. Peter is the hardest working chef I have ever met. Dont pay any attention to the one negative review on here: I have been to this restaurant probably 100 times and have NEVER had a bad experience. The have the most unique sushi in southern maryland: the chef creates his own maki rolls with combinations like Salmon, Tuna, Mango, and Coconut Sauce! How crazy is that! (By the way, that particular roll is unbelievably good)

Ogas has the best sushi in St. Marys County. The salmon melts in your mouth, the octopus is fabulously flavorful without being chewy, all the fish tastes incredibly fresh. I frequently ate sushi in Japan and Ogas is the closest Ive had in America to the real thing. The staff is courteous and efficient. The atmosphere and location are perfect for a date night followed by a relaxing walk down to Leonardtown Wharf.

Some of the previous comments are just laughable. Ogas food is delicious and the service top notch. its easy to criticize on the internet, did any one of you take your problems up with a manager or owner? If not how are they supposed to know you were an unsatisfied customer? Have never once had a bad experience. Great sushi and Asian cuisine.

The buffet is poorly stocked and is often cold. The service used to be extra friendly and efficient. Now its just efficient. The sushi used to be really good. Now its kinda good. Peter used to run it so much better. Its not gross but I wont be back unless I hear from someone I trust that things are better

Small batches and quick turnover makes a fresh, affordable, delicious little lunch buffet. I bring my friends all the time. Try their crabmeat fried wantons and California style sushi buffet. Evening dining is much more pricey than lunchtime. Always attentive service.

I.loved.it. I was second guessing my decision to eat here when I pulled up but once I got inside and had the amazing food I knew I made the right choice. I would come here everyday if I could.

Love Ogas. Been going here for over 4 years. Nice atmosphere, great service and quality food. Idk who those people are that were complaining. Maybe they are just unhappy people...

The food is amazing. But the service is terrible at the front desk. Many mistakes, confused and missed orders. Just allow a lot of time and patience.
