I ordered a cake for my husbands birthday several days ahead of the day I needed it. I arrived on time to pick it up and it wasnt even ready yet or made for that matter. I then had to wait 15 minutes for them to come out with it during a horrible thunderstorm that was rolling in. That I would have missed if they were on time. The owner proceeded to check me out and help me pay for my item. He then went on and on and on about the fact that I should have paid $4 more and how much was I going to pay, making me feel very uncomfortable about the whole matter and honestly I should have walked out at that moment. He said ordering online is different and I got away with paying much less for a nice cake that is muvh more. That made me even more uncomfortable but I then proceeded to pay for the item which was $30 mind you with taxes for a 6in cake. Out of all the cakes I founf at different shops this company was the most, so I had no idea why he was trying to take more money from me. I quickly took the cake abd hurried out because of the bad storm, by the way I never received his receipt and there was never a tag on the plastic container the cake was in. And the cake dome was fogged up halfway home, then thats when I was able to actually see what I had purchased for $30. I will be tagging the photos of that cake by the way. The owner who made my cake in the back who took forever to make my little 6-inch cake, didnt even put the Oreo cover on the whole cake it has several huge Parts that were open with the white frosting, and he didnt even put on the right amount of toppings. He missed two toppings completely that are my husbands favorite which I couldnt add to it in time. And he threw little bits of cookie and two Oreos on top. Even with my cake carefully placed in my car all the pieces rolled right off. Now it is a cookie blast cake so it kind of looks a little crazy but this looked ridiculous. I contacted customer support I even contacted the page on Facebook. All I got was the fact that this is privately owned through their company name theres nothing they can do about it. Do not waste your time getting cake at this horrible shop. The owner greedily wants your money and gives you a product that is horrible in return. Less than a few minutes away on the other end of corporate are too amazing cake places probably more actually. I should have left that store when I came in and my cake wasnt even ready, the storm was rolling in and I could hear them talking about how they were having to put together real quick. I should have gone down to Nothing But Cakes or Cold Stone Creamery and gotten a cake from there. I would suggest anyone else do the same. If I could give this place negative Stars I would. Do not waste your time or your money there!!!

The 2010 Entertainment Book for Baton Rouge featured several coupons for the Marble Slab Creamery in Citiplace, one of which was a "Buy One Shake Get a Shake Free" type coupon. Last month, we used one of these coupons there with no problem. Yet this past Tuesday, the same coupon from a second book was refused, and we were given a variety of conflicting information as to why. First the guy said that there had been a sign on the door saying that they werent accepting Entertainment coupons for 3 months when the facts were that: 1) there was no sign on the door at the time, and 2) there had been no such sign and the coupon was honored just one month earlier. Then he gave us some story about the coupon having been printed without the businesss permission. Then he said something about not accepting them because the same coupons are available in the ValPak, which also doesnt seem to be true. in the end, we werent allowed to use a perfectly valid coupon and ended up paying nearly $15 with tax for 2 shakes that actually werent very good. My advice: if youre planning on using a coupon, make sure you present it before ordering, even if youve used the exact same coupon before with no problem, to make sure they feel like taking it that day. Or better yet, go to the Cold Stone Creamery in Towne Center instead. Their ice cream and shakes are better anyway.

I have visited this Marble Slab many times through the years, however their service has gone down the last several visits. The last several visits including tonight have made me want to not return. The establishment was not clean. The toppings and ice cream areas had food everywhere. Ice cream has been smeared around long enough to have ice on it. Only half of the flavors and toppings were available. The clear counter does not look like it has been wiped down in years. I will not return for a while.

The owner was incredibly nice to us. They also had banana ice cream which is usually hit or miss at this location. They dont even charge extra for extra mixings. This place usually has families and children and everyone seems to always have a good time.

0 stars if possible! Walked in and stood there for 10 minutes with no employees present. Front door was wide open! Called to see if anybody would answer and take my order. Nobody came to the front. Worst experience ever..

The ice cream itself was delicious, we tried the dark chocolate and lemon custard flavors, but the toppings were not well mixed in. This made for a so-so experience.
