One of the better diners I have been in. The food is tasty and inexpensive, the staff is friendly, the place is clean. I understand there was a change in ownership since the last time I was in and it shows. I wasnt scared to try the food this time. I had a gyro, which was exactly what youd expect from a place like this. The fries were the crinkle fries my mom threw in the Ive for is as kids. (Im not a fan, but I know a lot of people that are and theyd like these). I got a burger to go. To me, this is the test of a diner. You cant hide the burger under fancy toppings at a diner. Cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion and pickle is all you need. I was impressed. Not travel 20 miles to try it impressed, but Ill be back for sure. Next up is the patty melt. I cant wait.

The manager/owner kept hoovering over the waitresses & seemed like he was waiting to catch them mess up. The prices have gone up while the food quality & quantity have deteriorated. I used to eat here often, but doubt I will ever be back. Its tense, not friendly or homey like it used to be since the new management took over & fired all the great waitresses who used to work there. I would no longer recommend it to anyone, which is sad, because it used to be my favorite restaurant just to grab a bite to eat.

Amazing food, great prices, and wonderful people. What more could you ask for in a diner. Stop in for a quick bit or take it to go, its completely up to you! Covington chili has a great atmosphere, and very inviting employees. I absolutely love it!!

Only tried once, so may have been an off-day, but two of us had Chili Spaghetti and there was tons of grease floating in the sauce, so not good. Way too many other places to go for good Chili Spaghetti, so we wont go back.

Great little "mom and pop" restaurant. They have a lot more than just chili. Service was fast and friendly and the food was excellent!

Good for gyro is OK could thicken the cucumber sauce and the would be able to compete with gourmet chili in Newport
