Cute place! The owner was super nice and friendly. When I wasnt sure if I wanted rice or potatoes, he offered a little of both to try. The food was good. Not super flavorful, but decent. A lot of lemon is used in their cooking of the Greek dishes, so if you dig that, youll love it. As an added bonus, they have gluten free pita from Roses bakery across the street, which was great! The only downside was that when I went, it was a warmer day and they propped the door open to get some air in, which lead to flies everywhere. Constantly swatting away flies from in front of my face and away from my plate was kinda gross.

This is a good, simplistic, straightforward, no-nonsense place. Once the food is ready, you just pick it up at the counter. Large portions and good taste. Great prices--we spent about 16 dollars and had nowhere to fit the food. Very friendly. We saw a local children theater perform on a Saturday. Highly recommend it to people who dont go "eew" at everything that doesnt have "expensive, French" written all over it and just want to eat good food dont mind carrying their own plate from the counter a few feet to their table. You can even invite friends and show them your hospitality by bringing plates for them.

I have been going to the old neighborhood grill since they opened. The food is amazing and very well priced. The room is extremely pleasant to eat. And probably the best part are the people who work! They are amazingly nice, and like to interact with the costumiers. If you havent been to the hood yet, you havent experienced one of Evanstons best and most pleasant restaurants!

I eat out a lot, and I must say this place is really good! The fish and chips was so good, and it came with a side salad. My husband had the gyros and said it was one of the best he ever had. The baklava is incredible. And there are some different selections on the menu that you dont see at other restaurants! Home-made!

So happy they are here. Food is very good, very inexpensive, and the atmosphere lovely. It is a place to treat yourself in these tough times, or perfect for the whole family anytime. Its BYOB for now, but they are hoping to serve alcohol soon. Lovely deck out back for when spring arrives.

I eat the Greek Chicken Dinner like its my religion. The boys there know its me every time I call and have perfected my order. It doesnt matter if I order it for lunch or dinner, I get it how I like it every time. x
