Food is great but service is horrible! I came in after work today to place a togo order. I was instructed to sit at the bar to place my order which was fine. After sitting at the bar for about 15 minutes the waitress finally came to take my order. I sat an additional 45 minutes waiting on my three tacos, rice, queso dip, and enchiladas. The waitress disappeared and didnt communicate with me so I had no idea what was going on with my order. I requested to speak with a manager from another waiter. The manager came and I explained to him the situation. He went to the back and disappeared. (I presume to the kitchen) The waitress finally returned with my food and said thanks and walked away. Not once did she acknowledge the fact that I had to wait almost an hour for a to go order. So I get home and realize that my queso dip order is wrong. I called back to speak with the manager and he basically told me that it was what was ordered. At this point Im extremely upset because 1. My having to wait has still not been acknowledeged, 2. The manager acted as if I was in the wrong, 3. Not one individual in the restaurant took ownership of thr horrible service. There were THREE tables that came in AFTER me and had nearly completed their meals before I received mine. The manager and the wait staff were horrible and I will not go back. The manager did offer to remake my food order...which was NEVER my issue. Poor management and horrid wait staff! Save your time and money and go elsewhere. To the "owner": You all are still failing to recognize the real issue! Nobody communicated to me what was going on and why there were delays! I wouldnt have been upset had ONE person said there will be delays based on customizations etc. You are basically blaming me for your poor service! My fiance came back to handle the exchange for the queso dip because I was so upset and didnt want to cause a scene in your establishment. Your manager left to run an "errand" because he didnt want to have to deal with the issue. You offer poor service and still refuse to acknowledge that. The joke of a gift certificate will not be used by me. My meal was double what you gave. I will NEVER visit your establishment again. Poor excuse of a business owner.

Hours stated they were open until 10pm on a Saturday so drove all the way there and walked in the door at 930pm, told the hostess i wanted to place a single to go order and she instructed me to go the back counter to place the order, meanwhile several other tables full of people were just getting food and another table with about 6 people were still looking at menus and havent ordered yet, i pickup a togo menu and as iam looking a server walks over and tells me they are closed and will not let me order, so i informed him it was just a single togo order for just myself and he still would not let me order, so i go outside and call up there and asked the hours and the same guy answered the phone and i asked what time they closed and he said they were already closed but i could place a togo order, seems sketch that youll take over the phone order all of a sudden but someone walks into your restraunt in person and you will not serve them, shady business, ive been going here for years but will no longer ever spend a dime at this restraunt! Go about 1 mile up the road to Casa Sol Mexican Restaurant, better people there that take care of their customers, which i instead went to after the horrible experience at this el ranchito!

The food is amazing. BUT..our server was not even old enough and had no clue what "on tap" meant. No clue what "tequila dressed" meant. Then thought that house tequila had less tequila in it!! Lol! Then we sat on a patio and had to watch a 12 year old breast feed her kid...while great granny complained about out 5 lb. Chihuahua!! While her husband wore a Micheal Vick jersey. Are you kidding me??? Then granny complained absurdly, loudly to the server...she wants NO LETTUCE ON MY PLATE!!!! THESE PEOPLE WERE TRUE HILLBILLIES!!!

Very poor service, took almost an hour to get food. Then fajitas came out not sizzling and warm. Tried to talk to manager but it took him 10 minutes to come to table and then he had attitude and told us he did not know how long fajitas have been on table. When I told him to quit making excuses, I just wouldnt come back. He did not care. So we wont be back. I now know why this place is never busy.

Awesome food, BUT......TERRIBLE SERVICE. Took forever just to get our drinks, then another forever wait to order our food, then again, another forever wait to receive our order. Had to chase down our check, and chase down to-go box. Awful service and the place only had a few guests so seems they would be quicker.

First visit. ToGo Orders are taken at the bar only – an uncomfortable place for me. I ordered a bean and beef taco salad, add guacamole, with a side of rice. I got home. No rice, no beans. The food was great. Thoroughly enjoyed what I got; just wished I could have enjoyed what I paid for ($9.47).

Very good little Mexican restaurant. The salsa is great with the right kick. The food is fairly priced and delicious. Ive been eating here for year with my family and friend and have never waited more than 30 minutes getting my main meal. Dont let the two 1 star ratings persuade you.

The homemade tamales, especially the pork (served with a delicious rojo sauce), are excellent and youll want to try there Chorizo Queso dip. While the Tortas (Mexican sandwich) are good - they should offer to serve beans with them instead of the bland fries.

The restaurant is clean and that is a big plus to me waitress and waiter are very kind the check on you from time to time the FOOD is very very good Tuesday was my second time visited the restaurant and I will be going back again....... Thank U & God BLESS..

I have traveled out west and into Mexico and eaten at many of many Mexican restaurants, this restaurant has the best Mexican food east of the Mississippi river, as close to real Mexican food as you can get with out actually having cabretta.

It used to be the best Mexican around until last year. Now its terrible! We went a lease two times a week and loved it! The food is not the same as it was..makes me sad because it was our favorite place to go!

Placed a to-go order picked it up, got home was missing somethings went back up there and they said they never had history of my to-go order and couldnt do anything about it. Horrible service and management.

Theres a Waiter in there his name is Nelson and he was so rude and disrespectful. We have our problems but I was just a customer and I was eating and he just shows up with so much disrespect.

Im glad we found this place. The Barbecue is awesome. The ribs are very tasty and savory. Everyone else enjoyed their dishes. Our server was nice and gave us great service. I will be back.
