I went once and at first I was just completely confused because it is just an awkward setup as far as the seating arrangement is concerned and then I didnt know whether a server comes to the table to take the order, or if I have to go to the counter to place it and then sit down... The menu was pretty limited but I was able to order something that I would like. After a bunch of confusions with the order and having to wait 10 extra minutes after waiting 20 minutes to begin with, I was finally given the right order and the food was decent - a good place to go if youre just in the mood for something quick (well, Im hoping its quicker for you than it was for me). I left there with the intention of going back eventually because after all, the food was pretty good. I just called because they have this huge "we deliver" sign and thats how they promote themselves for their delivery and the girl that answered the phone asked me where I lived.... I told her where and she was like, "youre way out of our zone" UMMM? Its literally a college apartment complex? Where do you deliver to if this is the case? She told me that they dont deliver past Ocala street.... so not to the Woodlands, to The Retreat, to Forum, West 10? What in the world... It literally takes 3 extra minutes if that to get to these places. How ridiculous. I do not understand this place what so ever, the food is decent thats pretty much all I can really say positive because I have not been impressed.

Personally, I love the different flavors and textures that come together across the menu. This is a place I can enjoy multiple times a week because of the diversity of the menu flavoring. Ive traveled from Texas for this place and made it my first Tally spot, but lets break it down. First, lets start with the food. I love the breakfast tacos especially with queso on them. Everything is better with queso. Personally, I start with the Americana and the Duke for breakfast -- both with queso. For lunch or dinner, I can go many directions. Of course I love the Mexicane Cola Pork, Don Pablo, CBLT, and the Longhorn. Usually Im not a big seafood or vegetarian food fan, but Ill go crazy for the queso fresco on the Hipster any day and the Northshore is really tasty. Usually I have to add queso or guacamole to my meal just because -- I mean why not. Second, the atmosphere and Maine Root sodas. The atmosphere is great with a cool vibe and great beats. Sometimes Ill catch myself bringing work and knocking it out over guacamole & queso. The Maine Root sodas further display the uniqueness of this joint. If youve never had the Doppelgänger, you gotta try it. All in all, Im a big fan of this place and recommend it highly.

I dont come as often anymore because of something that may seem petty but it really bothers me. My girlfriend likes to get the duke but doesnt eat red meat, so she gets chicken instead of the brisket. Usually we have this done no problem, but lately we have been getting charged $2 ON TOP of the cost of the taco. So this $4 taco becomes $6. Which is ridiculous because Tacospeak already has the most expensive tacos in the area. It has happened twice now and both times I have asked the cashier why and he just responds with, "thats just how we do it here". When I tell him that we have done this countless times before I get "those are the rules, if you want chicken then you have to pay for it." Im already paying for a protein. Both times I have just payed for the chicken but it is the principle that counts. Please teach your staff about the difference between sub-chicken and add-chicken.

I live in the area and everyday on my way to work I see the Tacospeak banners waving in the air. "WE DELIVER" and "YEAH, WERE OPEN" practically blind you as you drive by. Tonight I decided to give them a try as I was tired and didnt want to cook, only to find out they dont deliver to my area; I live directly off the intersection of Ocala and Tennessee less than a mile from the store. How can a small business expect to get any customers when they dont even cater to the very area theyre in! The gentleman over the phone insisted that they have a "small delivery radius" which expands all the way through Jackson bluff and Gaines... But not to the next major intersection on which the store basically resides? Im very disappointed and feel very deceived. Needless to say, I think Tacospeak specializes more in false advertising than in tacos.

OMG...this place calls their tacos "legit" and that is an understatement. These are damn good tacos. They do two things really right to make an excellent taco - first tortillas and next salsa. The tortillas are made fresh for each taco, and are the perfect mix of dough, chew, and melt in your mouth good. And the salsa is SO, so good. The roasted salsa is yummy and perfectly spiced but not too spicy. The green salsa is creamy goodness. The habanero salsa (the orange stuff) is the hot and spice of my latin dreams; its tangy and almost (but not really) painful if you eat too much. I really loved the hipster taco with grilled queso fresco. These are out of the ordinary tacos and are worth checking out. Dont skip the queso with quacamole in it, youll want to lick the bowl clean! Thanks Tacospeak, Im so wanting more!

Food is extremely SALTY. Not bad, but not awesome. Good place to go if its late and they are always open. Staff seemed unaware and unhelpful. Branding and typography are great but I cant order or eat typography, so their great branding is POINTLESS unless the terrible food matches. Menu is stupid and small. The guacamole has like 0% lime and everyone knows guac needs more lime. Lime and salt. How hard is it to add limes to the menu??? A Mexican place without limes. BWAHAHA. We ended up ordering and crossing the street to go to Taco Bell to get sour cream because they dont have that either. LMAO. The Queso was meh. The Guac was MEH. Tacos on the other hand were great but SALTY so MEH. Skip this place and go to Taco Bell.

Great food, Great People. There was a glitch with their online ordering that charged my card but my order never went thru to their system. The Owner/Manager could not have been a nicer, more generous person in fixing my problem. He gave me my entire meal for free and also included an extra cup of Guac and a fountain drink for my inconvenience. Living in Tallahassee, I have grown accustomed to terrible customer service but Tacospeak and its owner gave me hope for better things in Tally. If every restaurant operated the way Tacospeak does, the world would be a better place. Also, the food is AMAZING. The tacos are delicious and the guac and cheese dip are out of this world. Tallahassee needs more places like Tacospeak!!

Tacospeak is a really cool place with absolutely delicious tacos. The thing that really stands out to me is the quality of the fresh tortillas all the tacos are served on. They are clearly just rolled out in the kitchen and griddled shortly before you receive your taco. The fillings themselves are flavorful and well balanced. The chips you get with the guacamole, queso, or salsa are always fresh and hot and so good. The soda fountain has delicious sodas made with sugar, not high fructose corn syrup. Things to improve: the guac recipe needs a little tweaking. I think it needs more tang and maybe more red onions :-)
