This was our first and last time we will ever go to Ferros. First, the hostess was completely flustered as soon as we walked in. She was unable to tell us how long the wait would be and offered us no where to wait, and being that it was 95 degrees outside we were not willing to wait outside. After shuffling around for about 15 minutes we were seated. It took 15 minutes for anyone to take our drink order and to make matters worse, it had to have been at least 90 degrees inside the restaurant and only 2 of the 8 fans were on. Being that I am pregnant I asked politely if they could turn on the fan that was closest to our table. I was told that the controls to the fans were behind where a large table was seated so they couldnt do anything about it until that party left. We placed our order which was a medium meatball and mushroom pizza for my brother and I and my husband and brothers girlfriend ordered the eggplant parmesan. As we waited, I was getting more and more uncomfortable and asked a few more times if they could PLEASE turn on a fan and that I was really hot. My request was brushed aside each time I made it. Our pizza came out in a fairly timely manor but wanted to wait for the rest of the food so we could all eat together. 15 minutes later the eggplant meals came out (at which point our pizza was cold). The pizza was mediocre at best, there was almost no sauce and no flavor, but the eggplant was HORRIBLE!!!!! It tasted like they prepared it 2 weeks ago and stuck it in the microwave. It was soggy and tasteless. My brothers girlfriend couldnt even eat it so she ate a slice of our pizza. We couldnt even complain because NO ONE ever came to see how our food was. Finally, the table that was blocking the fan left and when I asked again of they could turn on the fan I was told it was broken!!! When it came time to leave the waitress asked why we didnt eat the eggplant and we told her it wasnt that great....her response..."you shouldnt have ordered it if you didnt like it"....seriously?!?! This was one of the worst restaurant experiences I have had and will be sure to NEVER eat at Ferros again and will make sure our friends and family dont either!!!

There were 9 of us visiting from NJ. We were seated right away (mid-week at 8pm). Our server was very helpful with a good sense of humor (the way we like it in NJ!) Everyones orders came out fine (except a small piece of plastic wrap in the veggie lasagne) The owner (Im assuming she was the owner... she seemed to be running the place) came out & said the pizza they made for us came out over-done so they were making another one for us. They gave us the first pizza to munch on while the new one was being made. They were right... the first pizza crust was tough & the cheese was a little bit burned. The staff & owner seemed embarrassed, and it was nice to see that they took care of it before we had to say something. This is the reason I give 4 stars instead of 5.

My parents have been going to Ferros for well over 10 years and would often brag to me about how good the food was so I was anxious to try it for myself. Being an Italian from NYC means I have very high standards. Let me tell you this place delivers in a big way, and this place is as authentic as it gets. But what makes Ferros so special and worth the drive from anywhere in Broward county is the personal care that Momma puts into every aspect of the restaurant. This is a true to form family run authentic establishment worth your time. Friendly service, fresh ingredients and cleanliness throughout are all part of the Ferro experience. I promise you come once and you will be back and back again. What a true dining pleasure. .

My wife, kids, and I loved everything about our first visit to this restaurant today. Service from Chrissy was exceptional and the food was amazing. We usually stick to our favorite restaurants because when we try something new, it more often than not is a disappointment. Anthonys Runway 84 or Il Mulino are our go-tos, but well definitely add this to our top 3. options. The price and the portions of the dishes at Ferros had us even feeling guilty...$16 for a monster Zuppa di Pesce, $14 house bottle of wine - come on!!! Next time, "salad" - nope, "garlic rolls", stop the threats....we need to make it to the entree... however another bottle of wine will do please :)

Tonights experience was the worst... sad but true. Waitresses are way too young to understand their job and that they are here to to serve the customers. As I see how they treat other customers, I already know that my gratuity will be very very low. Asked for soup and the waitress poured it on the table and on the chair next to me. Had to wait five minutes for napkins after this incident and the list of complaints goes on and on... not worth to continue writing my bad experience here. Definitely will NOT eat here again, its sad that after a lot of time coming here the new waitresses are bringing down the name of a great restaurant is very famous in our community.

Always nutritious. Soup is homemade and tasty. I would have liked it saltier but it is in an area of retirees and less salt is probably the preference. Mrs Ferro wouldnt be here in Tamarac 30+ years if she didnt know her customers needs. Great meat sauce for the pasta is always my test and Ferros passes with flying colors. Always packed for Mondays early bird too because of the free glass of wine! Decor could be updated but that shows the food, not the flash, is Ferros forte. Bellissima!

Worst pizza i had ever tasted. All the ingredients were just thrown in there, pizza was under cooked, the cheese did not stick to the pizza falling all over the place i had to eat the pizza with forks and knives picking up chunks of cheesse and bitting on the plain pizza crust (undercooked). Wont ever again return, i was a loyal customer but just this one time went to far. They better start putting love and pride on their food again or people will stop going.
