Last night was our first experience with this very local seafood restaurant and we found it to be very satisfactory. As a lover of clams on the half shell (why dont other restaurants that offer oysters this way also offer clams?). I thoroughly enjoyed the 10 Shucked Clams appetizer ($6). My son savored the homemade clam chowder and my wife fancied the Caesar Salad. The Blackened Mai Mai ($12) was delicious as were my sons unadorned chicken wigs. My wife had a sushi hand roll that made her smile. Importantly, I was able to get tasty side dishes that were on my weight loss diet. Service was prompt and very friendly (great job Alex). The decor is typical of a local seafood restaurant and nothing to brag about, and the rather loud rock and roll music playing throughout would be best eliminated. The beer list was up to date but the wine list really needs some attention (Italian Chablis - Really?). Prices were not cheap ($25 per person without alcoholic beverages), but not out of line for really fresh seafood. The overall experience was really positive. We will be back.

Ive been to the Clam House twice in the past month on the recommendation of a relative. Both times we sat at the bar,as the dining room was very busy. Both times we had the same female bartender that let us know that she was working the bar alone, as well as being responsible for making drinks for the entire restaurant, so it could be awhile. First meal went along rather smoothly, and was delicious. So, tonight I was really looking forward to another great meal. We ordered, and my wifes sushi came out in about 20 minutes, as I waited while drinking two beers. At the 45 minute mark, I asked about the Grilled Grouper I had ordered and our server went to check on it. Upon return she said the kitchen lost the ticket, and it would be 1 more minute. At 9:10, my wife and I left having never received my order. The food is good, but not worth the wait. And the barkeep definitely needs assistance on busy nights...

Worst experience in any restaurant ever.. We are local floridians and were attempting to find a place to show co-workers a good local place to eat(all from out of state) . My wife walked out to smoke a cigarette and overheard the pu$$y owner calling the cops in preparation for us walking out on our check.. I attempted to confront the owner but he was uninterested. His place wont last long long with this shi¥¥y attitude. I honestly believe he was offended by us calling the so called sushi bar out on fish they were trying to say was "fresh and another type of fish than what was given to you"

The best meal weve ever had in this area. Service is amazing. Our waitress, Bianca, was phenomenal, giving us suggestions and making sure that we as "newbies" had an incredible experience at the Clam House. I highly recommend the Thai Fry. I had vermilion snapper and hubby had hogfish. I have never had fish prepared like this, and it was the best fish I have ever eaten! Do yourself a huge favor, EAT HERE!! Tell Bianca her Pittsburgh newbies sent you!!

My personal experience would have been a 2 or a 3 as my service was sub par and the food was okay. The clam chowder was new and I honestly wouldve rather had Skippers, they shouldve kept the old recipe. I waited forever for my barbecue sauce which is okay because I had fries to munch on and Im a patient man. I gave 4 stars because the owner was a nice guy and the ambiance was good. Im calling my experience the fluke and I know they can perform better.

One of our favorite restaurants on the General area. Service is very friendly and they really know the food well and are proud of it. The food is excellent, all fresh and very flavorful. Fish sandwich was excellent, and you can choose the type of fish and how it gets prepared. The mahi mahi blackened was amazing. My wife got the Thai fry, which is a unique experience and it was excellent. Cant go wrong here, even the desserts were great.

Finally made to the Clam House. Been hearing about this place since I moved here last summer. OMG!! This is the best seafood Ive had in this town! The ambiance is perfect with outdoor and indoor seating with Tiki bar/fish house decor. I had the fried platter and it was .... Fantastic!! Cant wait to come back and try the Thai Fry!

Not only did our waiter answer all of our partys questions with detailed clarifications, but all of the suggestions he offered were delicious pairings. He also apologized for how quickly our food came, but nobody was sorry about the efficiency of service (and attentive refills/clean-up)!

Ive always had great sushi here. They moved sushi bar into kitchen, out of view. Stopped in last night for dinner. Dinner was served and there was a cockroach under the food when I lifted it up. All we got was an apology and a foot out the door. Ill will never eat there ever again!!!

My aunt & Is first time eating here & it was absolutely phenomenal!! Both waiter & manager that we were helped by were incredibly sweet, definately knew their menu & have delicious recommendations on what to eat; we will most definately be coming to eat more often!!

Food was well prepared, good flavors. Fish was very fresh. Clams were excellent. Staff is super friendly and professional. Savannah was our server and her service was worthy of a 5 star resort. Great local place. Some may find it a little pricey, but well worth it.

The BEST seafood I have had in a LONG time and I am a Florida native. Get here early for your choice of the Thai fried fish! Sushi is wonderful! Shrimp and grits are to DIE for!
