Beware of the karaoke nights! As much as I love small children it was appalling to me to see kids about 7 years old, on a school night there until after 10pm at night singing very adult lyrics. Other adults conferred- it was a little shocking at times. My friend and I got there at 8pm on a Thursday and stayed until 10:45pm and there were little kids still there while their parents drank when we left. The kids took over the show singing multiple songs while my friend who put his request in to sing never got called. I would hope that the manager of this place would step in and and somehow curtail this "kiddie show" to more appropriate hours (say 8-9, or even 7-9pm? It could even be called "kiddie-oake") to give the adults that are there a little more consideration after all we were spending lots of money on food and drink and it just seemed so inappropriate to be hanging out in this bar- type environment with such little ones. I know the parents are to blame, but does the manager or owner care about the adults who came to sing who never get the chance while the same kids are up there 4 and 5 times? I wont be back.

We once loved varsity club, going there all the time when we can until April 19,2015. We usually expect a good 20 minutes for food to come. Today we had a good friend come and town in picked varsity club saying how good the food was. But then the wait, we waited a good 40 minutes for our food to come, My mother is deaf and requested the manager because the wait took longer than normal. So she requested the manager (Sunday Evening shift), and we told him that we feel like the food has been taken a while. He goes and checks the computer and tells it has not been that long. We said we FEEL like it has been and threatens to take the food away because we are being a little rude and he kicks out of the restaurant and tells us never to come back. the Worst part is the food ended up coming out cold from the get go. She also asked the next table and she got her food in 25 minutes for a SALAD. THIS RESTAURANT IS VERY RUDE WHEN YOU HAVE A PROBLEM WITH THE FOOD AND THIS MANAGER WILL NOT BE AFRAID TO KICK YOU OUT OF THE RESTAURANT.

Food quality is pretty low. Ive tried the fried mushrooms, wings, nachos, philly cheese steak, fries, and chicken ceasar wrap... Everything seems to come out soggy and bland. Its not TERRIBLE, but each time I eat here I feel like I should have spent the money somewhere else. I keep giving it another try hoping to have better experiences, but it just isnt very good food. The service is not much better. The girls are friendly and sweet, but they are really slow and inattentive. Its been hard to get a refill EVERY time I go, even when sitting at the bar. Too bad, because its so close to my house :/

MOST INCOMPETENT SET OF EMPLOYEES. There might be one decent employee in there but most if not all employees at this location are very unqualified. Ive had waitresses curse at each other over me and my familys table and the manager didnt do anything about it. The food isnt good and the inside of the restaurant isnt modern at all. The beer from the tap is warm and extremely foamy. The over the phone service isnt good either. Waited 10 minutes on hold and then they hang up. This bar needs leadership or they need to close up because theyre losing money in an area that is blossoming.

My son and several friends went into this restaurant. They ordered hot wings and the order was short several wings. They respectfully requested a small discount from Drew, the owner. Because they were teenagers, Drew treated them with total disrespect and made inappropriate comments. Also they took an hour to even bring the food to the table and it wasnt even busy. The food there is ok, nothing to write home about, but the abuse towards respectful teenagers is way out of line. We live in Lansbrook and I am telling all my many friends to avoid that restaurant.

Last 3 togo orders has been missing something from it. When i called the manager and expressed my frustration and asked for the owners contact info he became irate and said they would CUSS me out. I then rebutted that would charge back he threatened to call the police. He then started yelling for me to come up there like a crazy man...Obviously he wont be working there much longer but our opinion of Varsity Club is tarnished forever...We order togo because its always dark and dirty in there anyways...Probably best not to order there again and neither should you

We went on this past Saturday evening.The biggest problem I have seen with this place over the years we have lived in this area is the Owners know they are the only game in town and know people will go there out of convenience. Not because of anything else. Never get the same meal twice, Bathrooms are not as clean as they should be, grout in tile is disgusting to say the least. A/C vents are gross. Owner doesnt care about patrons. Wait staff works their Butts off aside from the fact of having to put up with hungry, angry, unhappy customers,

The service here is terrible, I did have a great server and she had to leave at 4 so she asked me and my friend to cash out , no problem ... well since then Ive asked TWO servers walking by for another pitcher and have yet to receive one , its now been a little over an hour .. needless to say I no longer want anything. the only reason Im still here is my favorite team is playing football and my cable doesnt get it so I walked here to watch it ..... never again will this place get a dollar of mine.

Shelly is a great bar tender. She works hard but when she and the other employees get time are fun to chat with. I go there about once a week and the food is good, especially when one of the employees makes a special dish for the day. I always am greeted with a smile and the other regulars are all nice people to sit and chat with. Nice place to break up a boring evening. I like the family atmosphere as well. At least they try which is more than I can say for most places.

My Dad loves the Varsity Club on East Lake in Palm Harbor. My Mom hates the place for some reason, so he grabs me from time to time and we go. He orders the fried pickles because he says they are fun (they are ok) but he really comes here for their version of southwestern eggrolls and the wings. I do like the eggrolls too but for me, its the burger all the way.

I always come here since I live so close. Lately the service has been improving greatly. Huge shoutout to Megan for smiling the entire time and constantly asking us if everything is okay. Have not seen her before but she is a great addition to the staff. Food came out quick as well on a busy night. Overall great experience and great price for quality
