The Red Top Pit Stop is located in North lakeland and we live in Mulberry but well worth the drive . My mouth waters the whole way there ! Takes me 45 minutes to get there but its well worth it because their food simply cannot be compared to ANY of the bbq /burger chains ...period !! Red tops RIBS has the most flavorful fall off the bone ..delicious meat Ive ever eaten . My family and I loooove the PULLED PORK too ! Down home southern country cooking at its finest ! Blackeye peas, greens, fried okra ,cole slaw ...the BEST of the best !! Service is always friendly and I appreciate that they check on us during our meal. Portions are plentiful .Served piping hot . Did I mention their Rueben ? Addictive ! They serve wine and beer so I usually have a glass of wine . What makes the Red Top stand out even more is the fact that they can do ALL this cooking ..provide GREAT service and they remember our names when we come back ! I loooove the personal touch they add ! THANK YOU TO THE OWNERS.. SANDY KEITH & ASHLEE! KEEPING CUSTOMERS HAPPY SINCE DAY 1 IF YOUVE NEVER BEEN .. GO ! YOU WILL LOVE IT :D Almost forgot to mention the brisket . My husbands favorite is the brisket its so tender . Cooked to perfection ! RED TOP PIT STOP IS # 1 !

Stoped in for lunch yesterday because I had been told it was worth trying, I was definitely misinformed! We waited 45 mins for our lunch, when i got my burger (I ordered it rare, as I always do everywhere else) it wasnt just under cooked, the patty was slightly browned but still cold to the touch. I waited a few mins for a server to come back but that didnt happen. I ate the burger because i hadnt ate all day (i was really looking forward to this lunch ive been told so much about) and i didnt want to wait close to another hour for a simple burger. But when I expressed my displeasure with the manager i was spoken to like i was an idiot and she informed me she has "NEVER SERVED A RARE BURGER WARM". Very poor management and the flies in the place made it nearly unbearable to sit inside.

We came to the Red Top Pit Stop for lunch following our visit to Safari Wilderness Ranch. All I can say is...wow! The food is fantastic, and our family of five were all very happy with our lunch. I had the beef brisket sandwich with homemade mac-n-cheese. Very tasty and filling. My wife and three daughters each had something different and they were all very pleased. This place is a modest hole in the wall, but boy can they make great food. Plus the servers and cooks behind the counter were all very pleasant and the service was great.

We have eaten here 2 days in a row. Came for dinner on Sat. and had the brisket as they had sold out of the pulled pork and ribs. The Brisket was AWESOME. Came back on Sunday for lunch and got the pulled pork and ribs. Both were so gooood. We will so be back for the food. The staff is super friendly. We are always looking for mom and pop places to eat were they have real food. And this place fit the bill to a tee. Make sure to stop by. Not a fancy place, but the food so makes up for that as well as the staff. Well done TRTPS!

Delicious!! If you havent been here youre missing out. Breakfast served all day!! BBQ (meats and sauces) was fantastic! Great service and atmosphere as well. Just driving along US98 and saw a sign. At 430 in afternoon a dozen cars were in parking lot, so wed have been foolish to drive by. I didnt order these following things but was sad to see GFS trays of Mac N Cheese as well as grocery store packaged desserts behind the counter. Menu said Homemade, so minus one star for embellishments.

We are from Memphis and retired here in 2002. We were unable to find a good bbq place until we found Red Top Pit Stop. Not fancy but genuine great bbq and burgers. We have tried both and the food is consistent. It will be our choice for both in the future. Staff are friendly and helpful. Recently got bulk bbq and sides for a family gathering and they said it was as good, if not better, than Memphis bbq!

I spent nearly 30 minutes and didnt get more than a drink ordered. Food smelled wonderful, but I was never approached again for my order. Left money for the ice tea and walked out. No one even spoke to see why I wasnt staying. I felt like if youre not a local than you dont get service. The cook even came out of the kitchen to say hello to another table. Poor service and worse for the management.

The staff was very friendly and welcoming. They were extremely attentive especially considering how busy they were between people coming in and to go orders. We were seated immediately and our orders taken. We had the pulled pork and waited less than 10 minutes before it was brought out to us. Plenty of food and it was all delicious. We will definitely be going back whenever were passing by.

This was my first time with a friend there. Was very busy but not long of a wait. after eating there, I can understand why they are busy. great selection of menu items And service! We both had the ruben sandwich. It was Hot, fresh and delicious. Awesome sweet tea too!! Cant wait to go back to try other items!!! One of my new favorite places.

What a hidden gem. SPECTACULAR food and friendliness! This was my first trip and after the first couple of bites, I automatically made a mental list of people with whom I want to share RTPS. I would be happy to order the same burger and fries each time I go; but look forward to working my way through the entire menu.

Very small, but food is worth being cramped. Its a small town country place. Beer was cold food was hot. Staff was busy and the wait was average. Ill go back, price was a little higher than I expected, but reasonable. If your looking for a down home, almost back in the woods out of the way place. This is the place

Although small, this restaurant packs the quality of food, service, and atmosphere to be a king amongst other eateries in a small to moderate sized city. Having the option between breakfast or lunch, I went with the country fried steak and gravy. It was delicious and very filling.

This little place has the best barbecue in Florida by far any also have hamburgers and Rubens and other stuff on the menu also small place you can fit a couple of 18-wheelers in there truck parking great hospitality nice place to eat and they can handle large groups too

Had dinner a few times and it was always pretty good. Breakfast for the first time was outstanding! The fried potatoes were awesome but the brisket omelette was nothing like Ive had. Delicious! Wow. Ill be back. Sorry no pics was so good I forget to snap photo.

In Lakeland for vacation and I must say The Red Top Pit Stop is awesome . Wonderful folks !!! Cook and waitresses were very kind . Food was great. Huge plates ! You really get what you pay for . When I come to Lakeland again I know where my first pit stop will be !
