Wild Ace is really good, but not spectacular: a jack of all trades and master of none. The pizza is good, but just cant compete with Venus Pie or Brickhouse Fresh Pizzeria. The wings are also good, but those at Buffalo Wild Wings or Wild Wing Cafe are both better. One thing that does stand out to me are the sandwiches. Most of the other local restaurants are limited to either only deli sandwiches or a very small list of higher end sandwiches. The only place nearby that has comparable sandwiches would be Cribbs Kitchen on Main. There are no burgers on the menu, which is odd considering that they seem to be a staple of similar restaurants. Value is decent, but the lunch specials are a stellar deal. Service is pretty good, better than some of the other restaurants in the area. The servers arent particularly fast, but theyre really nice and will get anything you need. Decor is simple. A few neon signs, a couple of TVs along the walls and near the bar. Nothing too fancy. Wild Ace is a great choice if you cant decide exactly what you want, or if you are in a group of people who cant agree. There are other restaurants nearby with better food, but few have quite the variety that Wild Ace has. If the lack of burgers isnt a deal breaker to you, Wild Ace will not disappoint.

Not impressed! My fiancé and I came in one night for a late date night....pizza, beer and wings. As soon as we walked in the hosts doesnt say hello but instead "we close in 45 min". My fiancé and I just looked at each other and said "okay" can we get a table on the patio. Within a few minutes of being sat the server (a girl) walked up without greeting us and again reminds us that they are closing in 40 minutes. We then ordered a beer and asked for the check.......my thoughts.....if you dont want people coming into your restaurant within a hour of closing then maybe you shouldnt be open! I found that flat rude!!! I was in the restaurant business for years never in my life did I tell people when walking in the door we are closing in an hour. I didnt even tell people that when we were closing in 5 minutes! Was it annoying at times ABSOLUTLEY but you are there to serve your customers NOT to see how fast you can get them out the door because you are ready to go home! The crazy thing is we witnessed the same thing happening to others around us! So unfortunately we didnt make it to the food part of our meal and decided to go to another restaurant who wanted our business!

The food is excellent, when its prepared properly, which is not too often. My pizza has been burnt EVERY TIME Ive been there. The service is the slowest Ive ever seen in a restaurant. My daughter is a server there, which hurts even more to say. The last time I was there and my pizza was burnt again, the so called manager Miguel was super nice and apologetic to me about it, but told my daughter that if I dont like the food, I dont have to eat there, and he is right, I dont. And neither does anyone else who doesnt want to eat burnt pizza or have messed up orders, or deal with a smart a** guy who thinks he can manage a restaurant. If this is how they want to run a business, then the people of Spartanburg need a new pizza pub. Plus, that last time I was there, the two surrounding tables also had complaints about their orders being incorrect. Seems to me the owners need to find a real manager that knows how to run a restaurant and make sure the kitchen is doing what their paid to do, put out good food.

Well, Ive tried to give this place the benefit of the doubt numerous times (more than 7). The pizza is ok, the wait time is not. Do not go to this place unless you have at least 1hr & 45 min to kill; half of that will be spent waiting for your food. Even attempting to call ahead to order does not work. You give them a 45min advance notice & try to show up to pick up your food, only to find out your order has not been put in yet & you have another 30 - 45 min to wait. Wanna pop in quick and order a couple slices for lunch? Too bad; 50 minutes later you might be lucky enough to receive your order which looks like it was rushed through the oven. It is a well known fact at my office with 50+ employees in Spartanburg to just avoid the place all-together. Youve been warned.

The decor is great, dont you people see the 1/8 size replicas of aircraft from around the world hanging from the 45 high ceilings? Posters and aircraft memorabilia abound and keep with the Wild Aces theme. The THIN CRUST pizza is outstanding because they make one of the best sauces I have ever had, and I love pizza. Two slices with an added item is tough to finish, all for under $5! I have have Never had a soggy slice. You can even specify it cooked extra crispy. There are plenty of servers and when they get real busy, the upstairs loft, with another bar is opened as needed with even more seating upstairs. They run a happy hour 7 days a week, with a $2 pint night every Wednesday starting at 4pm. Whats not to like? Im a regular, I go here ALL THE TIME. They treat me like royalty.

Bad start that only got worse. Sat down and the waiter brought our drinks, spilling a soda all over 4 of us, completely soaking the hair of one. We ordered our food and talked and waited, and waited , and waited.. people around us that were seated well after us got their food... after 40 minutes of waiting, they told us that it would be an additional 20 minutes until our food would come out ..it was more than 30. 2 of the orders were completely wrong, like not even close to what was ordered. Then after all that, after finishing our meal waiter disappeared and didnt come out to bring us a check for another 45 minutes.. Food was slightly below average bar type food, but the fried dill pickles were really good. Service ranged from comically awful to nonexistent

Totally disappointing Experience. We were asked to sit directly in the line of traffic in a half empty room and were an inconvenience to hostess when asked for another table. We were given the wrong appetizer to start and I received a chef salad that only had 2 small pieces of turkey and roast beef. literally 2 bites. I didnt ask for anything while there. It seemed that would be an inconvenience on a less than enthusiastic staff. It was funny when a group came in afterward and was seated at same table we refused and after the hostess walked away, they got up and moved themselves. LIFE.....

The pizza was not good by any means. I got a margherita, which is a pretty simple pizza. There was no sauce, the basil was not good, the mozzarella was not fresh, the crust was extremely disappointing and soggy, and the entire pizza top and bottom was covered in grease. If I ever go back I would not order any pizza as it was one of the worst Ive had. I also had a blackened chicken caesar salad which was very good, the chicken was seasoned well. I would suggest if you are trying this place, get a salad or a sandwich and stay away from the pizza.
