Phenomenal food, drinks, and service. IN one visit between 3 people we spent $230 with 3 entries, 1 appetizer, 1 side, 1 caesar salad, 2 cocktails, and 4 glasses of wine. A steep price to pay, but wasnt disappointed with any of it. I have had the roasted pork belly appetizer, Eden farms Berkshire Pork chop, riverside reindeer cocktail, eastbound and down cocktail, and black truffle mac and cheese side. All of the latter is amazing. Pork chop: I like pork chop, but its not something I eat a lot of at restaurants. The Eden farms Berkshire Pork chop was a stellar entree! Cooked medium it was the best pork chop I have ever had in my life. Combined with the mustard cream and braised cabbage it was just to good. The roasted potatoes were an ok addition to the entree, but roasted potatoes can only be so good. Roasted pork belly appetizer: This consists of sweet corn puree, chilled King crab salad, potato gaufrette, and basil oil. This was good. Expensive for just 3 little pieces at $16, but an exceptional little appetizer. Cooked to perfection and the pork belly fat just melts in your mouth. Black truffle mac and cheese: Absolutely delightful. Its mac and cheese, but their take on it is wonderful. Served in a little cast iron bowl. Cocktails: Eastbound and down was good, but a little to sweet for me. It consisted of cherrywood smoked Bourbon, sweet vermouth, fresh orange juice, cherry heering, and the Bitter Truth lemon bitters. The Riverside reindeer cocktail was my favorite of the two Ive had so far. Im a big fan of Angels Envy so I might be a little biased on this one, but it was exceptional. The reindeer consists of Angels Envy Bourbon, heavy cream, appled brandy, whole egg, allspice-clove syrup, and Peychauds bitters. The waiter also picked up a little dessert treat for me since it was my birthday even though I didnt ask for it my dad did. The service was fantastic. One of the top 10 restaurants in Jacksonville. Will definitely be back.

After my last experience at Restaurant Orsay, the managing partner contacted me. He apologized and offered for my Fiance and I to come back to give them another shot. I was slightly reluctant, but I am so glad that I went back. Here are the highlights from our visit. - The server, Robert, was FABULOUS! I have NEVER had better service. He was personable and helpful. He guided us to making delicious options. THIS is the person that should be teaching customer service to the initial manager we spoke to. - The food was excellent. Truthfully, I did not try the seafood (maybe still a little nervous from my previous visit). We ordered escargot and pate to start. The pate wasnt quite what we were used to, but it was delicious never-the-less. We both ordered filet mignon for our entrees, which were cooked to perfection. The flavors were great and we even had to add some of their delicious truffle fries. For our dessert, we HAD to get the creme brulee. Last time it was my favorite part of the meal, and this time it did not disappoint. - The atmosphere was active, but not too loud. I really mean it when I tell you that Robert really made our visit! The only thing that I would have them work on is the reservation process. We tried to book on OpenTable, however there were no desirable times. We decided to call and we were informed that they didnt have any times available in the window we wanted (it was a Saturday, and we did understand). We then asked about walking in to wait (which we were okay with) and they informed us that it is not ideal for us to do that. I found this very strange. We ended up walking in anyways, and we were seated almost immediately. I guess there are no real complaints, but this was just a little strange to hear that walk-ins werent exactly welcome. All-in-all, I absolutely recommend taking a visit to Restaurant Orsay, and absolutely ask for Robert to be your server. You will not be disappointed!

We had our anniversary dinner here, like we have often done in the past. The team at Orsay are always wonderful and make each experience unique but consistently hit the highest marks for service and meal. The chef and the team in the back are subtle magicians. They bring out unexpected flavor in each dish. We were pleasantly surprised even by an old favorite (with a different fish). Our waiter, Robert, was truly dynamite. We usually request Tony, and we were hoping that his style and sense would be replicated in the new server. Robert and James were just what we had hoped for- each member of the service team is excellent. They are all remarkable for their commitment to customers enjoyment. The entire team, from hostess to each individual who visited our table, should be recognized for their excellent work. It may read as if Im overstating the case, but we have dined in a great many restaurants over the past 6 years. Orsay is our favorite in Florida. There are none that come close. Thank you for always making our experience magical and for creating such an amazing restaurant.

Made a reservation for two at 7:15. The restaurant was not busy only a moderate crowd. The menu is completely different than their website first off it seems like a burger joint rather then fine dining (which the website menu gives the impression of). We ordered an appetizer of the queso dip after waiting 25 for the cheese dip the chips and cracklings (it comes with) were cold. So as we are waiting an hour has gone by, I have not gotten a refill or an apology on the hour it has taken for our food to come out. My boyfriend and I are always nice and patient but the restaurant was not busy the two people behind us who arrived after us already had time to get their food and finish eating before we even had our entrées. All we ordered was steak and fish which those dont take very long to cook. We ended up getting up and leaving because having service that slow with a restaurant that isnt busy is absolutely ridiculous. Dont think Ill return over priced for "burgers and sandwiches" and one $30 steak on the menu if you want some variety. Need better communication. Very disappointed.

THANK GOODNESS there is a restaurant like this in Jacksonville. I was REALLY impressed by my whole dining experience. Every couple of months I travel to NYC to eat good food, and I must say, the level of food here is comparable to many of the high end restaurants in Manhattan. My husband and I had the chilled canteloupe soup and steak tartare for apps (the steak tartare is AWESOME), and the rabbit special and bouilliabaise for our entrees. The calamari, shrimp, mussels, etc in the bouilliabaise were all extremely tender which I really appreciated. The chef clearly paid attention to timing the fish so everything in the fish stew was perfectly cooked. Also, the smores dessert and carrot cake were incredible. Definitely the best carrot cake Ive ever had. In addition to the incredible food, it was me and my husbands anniversary, and they really made an effort to make our dinner special. They gave us champagne and the service was really nice (our waiter was Brian, and he was really knowledgeable). Its an hour drive for us, but we will definitely be back! So worth it.

I GOT FOOD POISONING FROM ORSAY. Roughly 4 or so hours after eating here I thought I was going to die...2 days of vomiting. I tried to be polite and call management the next day, not to get anyone in trouble, but to warn them that I think it was their mushrooms (as that was the only thing I had different than the party of 12 I was with) and they were completely rude about it saying that it mustve been from something else and could NEVER be them. (I wasnt looking to sue or anything, just spare someone 2 days of yacking--and as someone who worked and managed restaurants for years, I would want to know if I had botulism in my kitchen) Seeing as how that was the ONLY thing I had eaten in a day and a half, IT WAS FROM ORSAY. This place is for people who want to act elite and trendy and eat in "riverside". While I enjoyed my meal and the experience at the time, it was way overpriced and not worth it and definitely not worth the pain and a visit to the ER to get an IV of fluids after the two day "ordeal"
