Dear Kickbacks Gastropub, Normally when I post something on an establishments facebook, it is because they are awesome and did something great., Unfortunately, this is quite the opposite. Your night time manager, Andy, is a terrible manager. As a child, did you ever drop an ice cream cone and have the ice cream place replace it because it was an accident and because people typically have kindness and compassion in their hearts? Well Andy is the opposite of that. After ordering two beers, multiple appetizers and entrees, our beers get to the table and immediately my daughter accidentally spills one. We apologize, help clean up, and a replacement beer is brought to the table, After the eating, the bill arrives and I notice I was charged for the spilled beer. After discussing it with our server, who was apologetic, she asks Andy if they can take off a beer and instead of saying yes, which is the positive customer service thing to do, he calls the police on me for arguing on the bill. I was not intoxicated. The server kindly tries to diffuse the situation and tells me she will just take off the beer. So, I pay the bill (which I of course would do anyway!) and I notice that Andy has added on an automatic gratuity - totaling the exact cost of the beer. Sneaky, rude, and ridiculous. By treating customers that way, the manager ensured that the waitress got a much worse tip than she would have, and he alienated a once-a-week customer crew. Anyone who cares about the establishment that they work for would not lose a steady customer over the cost of ONE ACCIDENTAL spilled beer. That much beer ends up on the floor behind the bar every 5 minutes from pour offs. It was obvious that the servers we talked to didnt think much better of him. Good luck keeping happy business with him around as night manager. After the re-model and the updated menu (and as a side note: with such a large new menu the food quality and consistency has dropped off. Daytime food has been much better than night time food - might have something to do with the manager and quality control?) your restaurant has far to go concerning customer service. I will obviously never return, will ensure non of my friends return, and will continue to share this story, and as the police man pleasantly and sympathetically told me, if I return I will be arrested for trespassing. Am I the only one who thinks that is just crazy? Happy New Year Kickbacks.

To whom it may concern: I am writing this in regards to a charge that was initiated against my credit card for the amount of $37.27 on April 13, 2015. On April 13, 2015 One of my family members and I went to Kickbacks because we were in the mood for some pub food. We have been to this establishment in the past and never really had any concerns. We ordered our food which consisted of: Poutine, Pierogies with No seasoning, a kanish and of course Mac and Cheese. When we got our original order my sister and I noticed that the food didnt taste fresh so we told our waiter Jymmie, about the food being burnt (all fried) he didnt really say much and walked away. Eventually the food was unbearable and told the waiter (ALmost all still left on plate just a small taste); he asked us if we wanted something else so we ordered a stuffed burger. The burger came and it was amazing. After we finished our burger we received a bill for the amount of $37.27 and it had everything on it that we originally ordered. We complained to the waiter who once again he didnt say anything except we had to pay for what we ordered. We asked to speak to the manager and Jymmies responds was "he is walking around", he also indicated if anything was taken off the bill he would have to pay out of pocket. My sister got up and went to find the owner of the establishment on her own. While she was gone the waiter came back and Jymmie said to me that I have to pay for everything that they arent going to do anything and I wouldnt get a refund of any amount. I gave him my credit card. He brought back my ticket and he charged me for the entire amount. Eventually the owner of Kickbacks came to our table and admitted to us that the Pierogies and kanish were burnt/overdone and that was basically all but next time were at his place to ask for him. I am initiating this chargeback because I feel we shouldnt have to pay for food that was horrible and was lied to. I admitted that the burger was good which was only $10.98 not $37.27... Thank you

went there a few weeks ago and sat at the bar the service was great and on point . Went there last night was sat at a table the server came to the table to take our drink orders we ordered 2 beers and he had absolutely no idea what I was talking about even though I was pointing at it on the menu so for some place that has 4 pages of beer on their menu none of the staff seemed to know anything about the beer at all.So when we finally got our beer it was luke warm like it had been sitting forever so then he takes our food order no knowledge of the food menu either none of our food came out at the same time and he said it would take about 22 mins for chicken wings to come out I agreed it took 45 mins and he never came and checked on the table enough to realize i never got my food.So we asked for the check I had payed with my card and planned to tip him in cash but he came and grabbed the receipt before I could pull my cash out and seen there was no tip on the receipt and very rudely said you can keep this and snatched my friends receipt before she could grab it so she had to chase him down to get her receipt back. Im a server myself but this positively the worse experience Ive had at a establishment ever I will not be back and I hate saying that because a few weeks ago everything was great. Their staff needs to be better trained while we was waiting on our food we watched several drinks and food go to the wrong tables and maybe wear uniforms of some sort because we didnt know who was staff and who was customers the only way to tell was most of the staff had their server book shoved in the back of their pants.The food also tasted bland and freezer burnt as well and everything came out cold.

Wow! This place used to really awesome. Ive been going here for about 8 yesterday and always had good food and service. But since the renovation and additions, everything has gone down hill. Dont get me wrong, the place is really cool and has lots of neat decorations and furnishings and the atmosphere is great. Its a must see kind of place for out of town guests. But what has really turned for the worse is the service. Its progressively taken longer to get food and drinks or they simply run out of beer. For instance, this evening 4 of my beer selections were tapped out. To make it worse, it would take our server at least 10 minutes to come tell me. This evening we had a group of 4 adults and 2 children. Two people ordered PB & J sandwiches, one ordered wings, another a ham, egg and cheese sandwich, the kids got Mac n cheese and popcorn shrimp and I got a BLT. Would you believe the PB & J sandwiches took the longest, followed by the popcorn shrimp. How long might you ask? How about over an hour. All total, we spent 2 hours here - most of which was spent waiting for food or trying to get drinks that werent tapped out. Our server kept saying the kitchen was to blame, but it wasnt very busy. Most of our food was cold when it did get to us, so Im sure it just sat there hanging out in the kitchen after it was cooked. On a side note, the mens bathroom was disgusting. Standing water was on over the floor and there was hardly enough water pressure to was your hands.
