Its unfortunate to be the first one to feel compelled to write a negative review about this place, but its well deserved. As a 15 year resident of the downtown Dunedin area, I had high hopes that I would like this place, since a good coffee place thats open when you want coffee is relatively non-existent anywhere near downtown. After my experience this morning, I would sooner get coffee from a fu¢king gas station. Heres why. So I walked in this morning in dire need of a strong cup of coffee and bellied right up to the counter. Another guy walked in at the same time I did, but since I held the door open, he went in two steps first, and the pretty blonde girl at the counter takes his order, and coffee ninja guy begins arrogantly but artfully making the two cappuccinos he orders. The employees had the patrons outnumbered at this time. Altogether there were three-the two Ive mentioned already, and a larger fellow leaning in the doorway to the kitchen as if to hold up a wall, drinking his water from his mason jar. Im assuming water. While I sat there waiting to be greeted or even acknowledged by any one of them, they all chit-chatted amongst themselves, discussing the weather & whether or not to open the windows, new vs old credit card and cell phone technology, trips to Italy and general pretentiousness. Blonde girl measured coffee beans in little metal tins. Coffee ninja worked the industrial espresso machine with the samurai like precision of a hibachi chef-minus the personality-while finishing making the two cappuccinos for the one guy that walked in at the same time I did. Other guy takes a slug from his mason jar. I sat there waiting....not three feet away,....while they worked...and chatted...and opened windows...completely ignoring me... After a good ten minutes of this, Id had enough of their self-absorbed, pretentious brand of abuse, so I simply stood up and walked out. And even then they still didnt acknowledge my existence. Unbelievable. Outstanding first impression. And that is why Id rather get coffee from a fu¢king gas station. Happy new year.

Disappointing experience although I was initially excited to see they had an Ethiopian pour over. Ordered my coffee and was advised it would take 5 minutes to make, which I expected and appreciated the warning. Sadly, 5 minutes turned into 20 and on top of that my cup was only 2/3 full. The almost 10 people behind me waited almost a half hour to order and get their coffee. Not surprisingly, some of them left before getting their drinks. Plus some of the peoples drinks were put in wrong but the second employee to walk in seemed to try and fix those orders. Hopefully, this was just a rough start to their morning with a staffing mix up but its my only experience so its all I have to review. Quite disappointing. My pour over was quite good but even at that it was smaller than I expected for the price.

We found this place on the way home from our vacation near Sarasota, and we just wish we were staying in the area longer. We had the Epic Egg Sandwich, and it was easily the best egg sandwich weve ever had. The coffee was also amazing. I had the latte and my husband had the cappuccino. Both were exceptional, which was refreshing after so many mediocre trips to Starbucks lately. This place has a reasonable kids menu too, and our kids had the egg, toast, and hot chocolate (which was also great, by the way) for around $4. The restaurant is very small, but the staff is very friendly and the food is superb. You owe it to yourself to stop in if you are in the St. Pete area.

Small place, but quality product, clean interior and good service, not overwhelmingly too hip for thou. Their Ethiopian roast - Sidamo Guji, which is the precise origin of this crop - defines what coffee should taste like, imo. Dont like the price? Remember: people in far off countries work hard, long days harvesting this stuff for you, for about the same amount of money per day. Anyway, sweet coffee shop. If you have trouble finding it through your GPS and dont know the neighborhood, search for Salty Dawg (around the corner) or Tabor Cleaners (next door).

Dunedin is the closest thing the county has to a small town. So for us to finally get a coffee shop with experienced baristas, an amazing roaster (Buddy Brew in Tampa), and a delightful space to hangout in, its like a dream come true. Omar and Courtney are great people and really enjoy what they do. The prices are comparable to most shops in town, but the skill is what sets their coffee apart. So if you want a great cup, but dont wanna look all over, stop by 9th bar; the wait for Dunedins coffee shop is over

Best latte Ive ever had!! We were pretty new to town when we first started coming to 9th bar. It became a weekly ritual very quickly. I always feel welcome when I walk through the door and I get Cheers flashbacks as everyone knows my name. Also you really cant beat the quality of coffee. I normally drown my coffee in cream and sugar, not when I order a cup here. I drink my latte with just a dash of their homemade simple syrup and it is truly dreamy!!

Coffee was decent and atmosphere was great. I am a sucker for small coffee shops . If you are a stumptown coffee lover like I am you will leave wanting more out of the coffee they serve. I only had espresso not drip so I cannot attest to that. Food choices are available but lacking. Their blueberry muffin is delicious. This is a place to keep an eye on. Something this area deff needs and will embrace as it grows.

Love, love, loooooooove this place. Coffee is too notch. Put Starbucks to shame 100%. Its seriously just amazing coffee. Dont get me started on their breakfast. Im addicted to their avocado toast. Ive also had their breakfast sandwich and its sooooo good. Seriously such a great local spot. If you need a coffee fix and youre in the area dont bother going anywhere else.

I love 9th bar. Its part of my weekly ritual. They are really informed on coffee and know how to prepare each bean to present it in its best light. I am a total coffee junkie and believe they make the best cappuccino in Pinellas county for sure. Im not sure but it might be the best cappuccino Ive ever had! If you truly love coffee you have found your Mecca!

Great coffee & espresso drinks. Theyll do pour over too if you ask. My wife had a first rate cappuccino and yogurt bowl, I had a Sidamo pour over with granola bowl. That was almost an hour ago and the wonderful flavor of the natural process Ethiopian coffee still lingers ever so slightly. First rate.

Finally. Real coffee in the Clearwater area. For anyone who has searched in vain for a cappuccino that lives up to the name, search no more. If you are from overseas visiting Clearwater or Tampa, dont take your life in your hands ordering "coffee" from a diner. Go to 9th Bar Espresso.

We go here all the time. Its the best coffee around. I love their iced almond milk latte. We used to drive from Clearwater for 9th Bar coffee and now we just moved to Dunedin and its so close we love it. The place is super cool inside and everyone who works there is really into coffee.
