on January 20 2017 I decided to stop by with a friend to eat some Spanish food we happen to know very well, the service horrendous, the front door make a horrible noise constantly, because the mechanism that it holds it, does not work, and the male server, with lack of courtesy and throwing the door constantly, after walking like a model in a catwalk, thats what he thought,,,,,,,,,,, I asked for a gazpacho, and they brought me something that it looked like a cream of tomatoes,,, I was thinking what a weird gazpacho,,,,,,,,,,,,, well it was different,,,, I got food poisoned, perhaps the crème on it it was dated,,, I almost could not make it to the parking lot, from the inflammation in my stomach, and the horrible pain, around my gallbladder, and lower stomach,,,, my friend helped me get to the car, I could not move, drive, has to unbuttoned my jeans, I thought I had to call the ambulance,,,,,,,, I had to throw up, the entire horrible gazpacho, and it took me 3 hours to be able to drive, ,,,,,,,, I have never , ever being in Spain, and all over, seen a gazpacho that looks like crème, it was my mistake for taking it,,,,,,,,,PLEASE DO NOT STEP IN THAT PLACE EVER, ,,, EXPENSIVE, BAD SERVICE, AND WITH THE CHANCE TO HAVE THE WORST STOMACH PAIN OF YOUR LIFE, it took me 2 days to get well, GAMBA GO TO THE PLACE YOU CAME FROM, CLOSE THE DOORS OR CHANGE THE CHEF,,,,,,,,,,,,!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1111

Pésima atención! !

Came here on Sunday for a lovely lunch and I was NOT disappointed! I had their red sangria which was very good. It was not sweet (which I like) but I do wish it would have had more of a kick to it. Regardless, on a hot summer day it really hits the spot which is why I ordered another one! I had their tortilla española which was divine. it was very large and reasonably priced ($10). Other dishes that were ordered were the ham and cod croquettes, 7 seas paella, seafood with angel hair pasta, and tomato bread. They were all awesome. Super fresh, well prepared, and beautifully presented. For dessert we had the manchego tart with raspberry sauce and it was divine! Decadent and delicious - I highly recommend it. The owner makes it herself so you know it is very good. All their seafood is imported from Spain and it shows. They take great pride in the preparation and presentation of their dishes. The service was excellent and they had no problem giving us separate checks. This is a very small venue so I suggest making a reservation if you are going at night. They have a small outdoor seating area with live music on Sundays. A really great touch! Plentiful parking in lots, garages, and on the street as this is in the Grove. I will be back for sure.

I had my in-laws visiting town and decided to take them to La Gamba based on friends recommendations and on their OT reviews. Very, very, VERY happy I took them here! The food was FANTASTIC. We ordered a bunch of plates to share, most notable ones where the angus ribs, the Spanish Seafood rice (incredible flavor!!!) the 5 jotas ham, grilled prawns with a brandy sauce, a grilled vegetable platter and a strawberry gazpacho which was incredible. The place is small but it make it feel authentic and warm. The servers and the owner where all super friendly and did a great job at making us feel at home. I am definitely coming back asap and will recommend to anyone looking for authentic Spanish cuisine that will leave a mark on you!

As visitors to the Miami area to visit our college daughter, we wanted great authentic paella and read good reviews here. We were terribly disappointed. After ordering 2 tapas and only getting one, as the other was forgotten, we waited a good 45 minutes for a paella for 3 at $75. It barely came with about 4 cups of dry rice which much was black burnt on the bottom of the pan. There was an ample amount of small mussels , shrimp and clams but we left feeling a bit hungry. They handed us our check, including the pitcher of sangria we bought with no compensation for the forgotten food or burnt rice. Will not return

Definitely not coming back service was okay, food very expensive and the menu is very confusing they charge you per person so be careful if you order a dish and you want to share it, they will make you pay twice. I ordered a paella and I was sharing with my husband they made me pay $50 because we both ate from the same dish it wasnt even that good. The owner came to apologize but didnt remove the item from my bill he said he couldnt do anything about it. The waiter said he explained it which wasnt true be very careful, they get you at the end !!! Wouldnt recommend it!!!!

Excelente Restaurante, su comida nos encanto, se sintió lo fresco de sus alimentos y lo bien preparado que estaba, realmente lo disfrutamos mucho mi hija y yo, no es económico pero vale la pena por lo que se paga, con seguridad volveremos

If you like authentic Spanish food, go to La Gamba restaurant. Located in the heart of Coconut Grove, La Gamba offers the perfect combination between exquisite food and a wonderful atmosphere. The Gazpacho and Paella are just delicious, and the Chocolate Mousse is to die for. Truly, a great restaurant and definitely deserves a visit.

In a nut shell this place has excellent, authentic Spanish cuisine. We had an awesome Sparkling Wine Sangria and ate their Creamy Seafood rice, their oxtail croquettes, Lobster in butter sauce, and seared scallops... All to die for. Staff was very friendly and the place is super cute. Definitely coming back soon :)

Delicious sea food and great bread for starters! We ordered clams in white wine sauce, fried calamari and scallops with asparagus. Every dish was just perfect. 60 dollars for a lunch for two, totally worth it. The only turn off was the music: cuban (not my favorite) for a Spanish/Mediterranean restaurant
