This is a great sandwich place for pickup. I have the subs there all the time. They are huge and absolutely delicious. The shop itself is not in the greatest neighborhood and the decor is older and is extremely casual and low budget. If you are looking for a restaurant experience, this is not it. But the people behind the counter are always nice. It has a very friendly family atmosphere about it. The prices are not bad considering the food quality (expect to spend about $10 per person). But most of all, the quality sandwiches are well worth whatever trip you have to make.

Best sub-sandwich shop in Wilm. Lack of local flavor/ambiance more than made up for by foods flavor. Selection of locally made desserts brought in to far end of soda refrigerator is EXCELLENT. Also fond of pink-coconut-marshmallow treats that originator Tastycake no longer makes... BAD, Tastycake, BAD! OUTSTANDING, MD Ave! Oh, & their Reuben puts Arbys to shame. + no violations, errors, or even FYIs on most recent Health Dept inspection (taped to glass food case).

Before your movie at Penn Cinema! Eat at Maryland Ave. You cannot find a better cheesesteak in Wilmington. Great turkey and beef subs. Friendly, family-owned for 30+ years. Lucky me, I live right around the corner!
