Dos Locos is the best Mexican Restaurant in the Mid-Atlantic area as far as Im concerned. Ive been dining there for years....dating back to their old location in Rehoboth (Wilmington Ave. I think). Service is an endangered species today and nearly extinct. It thrives in this restaurant. From your greeting at the entrance, to the wait staff and finally the owner checking upon your satisfaction, this place is top-notch. The varieties of fish dishes, particularly the fish tacos are the best Ive had on the East Coast. They are easily on a par with California Mexican restaurants, and thats saying a lot. Expertly cooked and seasoned food and Dos Locos doesnt kill you with salt as many such restaurants do. They know how to season. They know how to cook. The food is fresh and wholesome. If you know someone who doesnt think they like Mexican cuisine, bring them here. The place is clean and in the restaurant section, no televisions thank God. I have difficulty finding any cons to this establishment. I dont really care for the music played, but then again, its the rare restaurant that plays anything I like. Viva Dos Locos!

My boyfriend and I went on a fancy date here in late August. Our server took great care of us, our water glasses were never empty even though he had quite a few other tables. An extra basket of chips and salsa appeared at our table at the exact moment we were about to fight over the last chip. He was one of the best servers Ive ever had at any restaurant. We had a fish quesadilla and a fish fajita. Both were incredible beyond words. The food was ready in less than ~15 minutes (even though the place was half full). I cannot recommend this place enough. There are a lot of mixed reviews here, but I really encourage you to try it out. I thought the prices were very reasonable for the quality of food. We will be back next year!

Started out trying to find Que Pasa. Finally found it, but it was closed. We stumbled on Dos Locos, and had to try it. So glad we did! Right on Rehoboths main drag, easy parking, and AMAZING food. Say Hi! to Dimitar - he was a great waiter, and the food was fantastic! DUCK fajitas - who else has them?!? Meat was so tender it crumbled when I touched it! Wonderful smokey flavor. My wifes burrito was equally fantastic! The Tuesday Night Trivia Game crowd were having a blast, and the decor was like a Cinco De Mayo carnival - colorful, whimsical, and fun. Even the bathrooms were nice! We will be back there within a week to try more entrees. I cant wait!

We had high expectations based on the previous reviews. We were a bit dissappointed. It was very crowded and they did accomidate our large group, which is a positive. However, the beef fajitas were fair at best: the meat was unseasoned and overcooked. I would not order them again, and they pale when compared to those at DC favorites like guapos and rio grande. My wife had the fish tacos, which she thought were quite good -- so strongly consider the fish tacos. The margaritas were marginal, for a mexican restaurant. One bright spot, the staff was very nice (at least our waitress) and the kitchen was quick. But we will not go again.

I have no idea what happened to Dos Locos. I had not been there in several years and went this week. It was horrible. The food was not fresh at all. The lettuce was brown and wilted. My husband had blue cheese on his burger that tasted rancid. I ordered chicken tacos that had some type of Indian spice in them that I could not identify. If Im paying 14 bucks for a taco platter it should be fresh at least. The chicken was overcooked and I sensed the spice was to cover the fact that it may have been made a previous day. The only saving grace is the waiter was nice and the salsa was edible.

The atmosphere is ok, and the price for a pitcher of margaritas are good. This place is also good for larger groups but can only split the check among 3 debit/credit cards. The biggest issue I have with this place is the pricing. The quality of food is fine, and the portion size is good, but there are not entrees in the $10-$16 dollar range. You will pay at least $20+ a person for any sort of meal (burritos, tacos, ect), which seems extremely high for Mexican food, even if the ingredients are great. Be wary of this because it is deceivingly out of the price range of some folks.

My wife and I eat strictly gluten free and we have struggled with finding nice restaurants where we can eat on our yearly week in Rehoboth. This place was AMAZING. We called ahead and they had a table ready for us. Our food was perfect and delicious, our very particular requests were respected and we were treated so well. Often when dining out and eating differently we experienced annoyed and rude staff. This restaurant was so fantastic that we will be going back every single year! Our baby girl also loved the food, the jicama from the veggie fajitas was her favorite!

Stopped in here on a whim after walking the boardwalk. We werent sure what to expect since its basically right off the boardwalk but we were pleasantly surprised. We were seated right away by the front window. Decor was nice and it was very clean. The service was wonderful, even the owner came over to chat to our little one, very friendly and sincere but the best part was the food! Large portions, fresh, lots of flavor and exactly what we were looking for. This is by far some of the best Mexican food we have had. We will definitely be going back.

My meal the Santa Fe quesadilla was really tasty and fresh, although it was also too pricy at nearly $16. My girlfriend got the chicken enchilada lunch special, which was only $9. I guess you get what you pay for. Service was average and I would come back to this restaurant. Update 06/24/17 Had a much more memorable experience. Prices are still high but they matched the quality and quantity of service/food that was provided. Get the nachos! Theyre delicious and seriously enough to feed at least three people.

Lets put it this way.... We got really sick! The food was horrible and the place is over priced for the quality of the food they offer. We order a bunch of appetizers and everything was like taken out of a can or from the international frozen food section of the grocery store. Please save yourself a trouble and just go somewhere else. The owner and staff are very friendly but the food quality has a lot to say. Again please avoid getting food poison. It was sad to see my 2 1/2 year old son sick to his stomach.
