This motel is great and affordable. I was excited that both our dogs could stay here. The room was clean and more updated than some of the other nearby motels that are pet friendly. It is very close to the beach, has a small pool (very well maintained), a wash off station, and a descent amount of parking that is permit only from the motel. It is located near several food places that are right next door and a convenience store on the block over. We stayed on the first floor closest to the street which the only down side was you can hear music from the bars nearby, but it was not overpowering. The AC works very well! Beds are clean and neat, somewhat comfortable, but we sleep on a tempurpedic, so very those are very hard to compare with anything. There was ample enough hot water for the two of us. Do not expect a room without flaws though, by flaws there are minor things like a little shower scum in the knobs (but what place doesn’t accumulate that), a few spots on the wall needed to be touched up with paint, and a few ceiling tiles in the bathroom needed to be replaced. I mean these are minor in my opinion, as long as the room is CLEAN, which I smelled bleach when I walked in which is good, I am satisfied. We had no issues. Dewey beach allows dogs on the beach before 9:30 am and after 5:30 pm. They loved it!! I recommend this motel to anyone looking for an affordable place to stay especially if you are a pet owner! We will be staying here again.

As pet-friendly hotels go this is the best one I have ever used. Its not because the place is exceptionally clean or has any new furniture. Its because of the owner and the people behind the front desk. They were nice on the phone when I called to make the reservation at the last minute and they were nice when I walked in to pick up my keys. I had forgotten to mention that my husband had a broken foot and we ended up with a room on the second floor. After I told them that he had a broken foot they promptly found us a room on the first floor both nights. That was my error and they didnt have to do anything to accommodate my husband and me but they did. I also wanted to take my husband with a broken foot and my giant Alaskan Malamute puppy who weighs 80 lbs out to the beach and I wanted to park as close as possible. I myself have arthritis and getting around isnt easy these days. When I went to the front desk to ask for quarters to pay for parking they told me that it was permit parking only beside the entrance to the beach and of course I dont have a permit. The owner offered me his permit for the business. I cant remember when a hotel was this nice to us and the bill was so cheap. Thank you Atlantic Oceanside for making our brief stay at Dewey Beach so pleasant. Your willingness to help and pleasant demeanors are priceless to me in this day and age.

Great location, great value. We visited with our 2 college age kids, and got along well. Older motel, but clean and ready when we arrived. Allowed us to check in 2 hours early, and leave an hour late. Short walk to beach with entrance at the end of the street. Beds were comfortable, linens and towels were clean but thin, as we expected for this price. Pool is clean and nice, an outdoor shower is available to rinse off from the beach, and the deck overlooking the street was a great place for morning coffee and evening drinks. Pleasantly surprised to find a small counter and cabinets surrounding the frig and microwave to store food and supplies. Negatives: Club down the street is a big concert club so there is music every night, but stops at 1pm because bars close.(We stayed in the front of the motel facing the street, near the club. If you go to bed early, you may want a room in the back of the motel, not facing the main street) No coffee maker, no free ice (machine on premises for $) Staff was pleasant but not always helpful. Wireless internet was intermittent the 2 1/2 days we were there. The manager told us they are replacing it this fall.

Stayed at this flea trap of a motel for the 2015 Starboard opening last weekend and this had to be the worst accommodation I have experienced in all my 30 years experience in Dewey. The water faucet spewed water all over the sink area, the place was an eye sore, and the water spout in the shower was equally malfunctioning. Vending machines not plugged in, forget about ice, and then the trailer park management team at this dive dings me for $150 in damages for smoking in a non-smoking room -- what a bunch of A-holes. NEVER AGAIN at this place, especially with other nice renovated options just next door. Oh yes, they were nice enough to document the "damages" to the room but never mentioned the nice scarf I left behind that was likely lifted by the same management using shoddy business tactics to steal money from me. Shame on this place for even saying they are in the hospitality business.

This place is great if you have kids and animals. I was excited to come here and nervous to for I read some of the reviews good and bad ones but I wanted to see for myself. I give this place 5 stars for the stsff was polite and helpful at all times. The continental breakfast was good. Our room was comfy and clean with a nice size refrigerator and small microwave. The beach was within walking distance from the hotel which was great plus we had a clean pool which they have pool towels The coffee shop that was nice too. Overall experience was great I will be staying here in the future!!

Unless you are a high school or college spring breaker, dont expect much from this place. Our towel rack was broken and bar in the shower was completely missing. Overall I may be able to overlook that, but be warned...if you reserve a room, they have a cancellation policy which is never explained to you, until you actually call to cancel. If you cancel within a weeks time, you lose one night (@$250) and even if you cancel 3 weeks out it is still $20...been staying in hotels over 30 years and not once have I seen this...but then again...this place aint no hotel.

Not the nicest of hotels of course but perfect if youre going to party with your friends. They allow you to drink in the sundeck and pool areas so its a great social hotel. I would not recommend families stay here - the pool is small and so are the rooms. Most of the people staying here seem to be young groups who want to enjoy the night life. The staff was friendly and easy to deal with, and we had no problems with cleanliness.

4 dogs, 2 adults had plenty of room. Staff was helpful and Friendly and the front desk was great. The sights and sounds of the bars at closing makes the sundeck awesome, and walking to beach is a short stroll. Rooms are nice and am already recommending this motel to dog owners. Thanks to the staff for the great weekends we get to enjoy here.
