We were a group of 11 for New Years Eve. Reservations were made about month in advance for an 8pm table. We got there a little before 8 and were told our table was not ready and it could be another 30 - 45 minutes. We ended up getting seated a little after 9pm - strike one. It took a while before our waiter cam and took a drink order and then we had to flag him down to take our dinner order. The salads came out about half hour after ordering. We all said that it tasted like there was no dressing on the salad - 5 minutes later they came out with individual cups of dressing - strike two. When our meals came we were served two at a time so it took quite a bit of time for everyone to get their food and one person didnt get served until well past everyone else. We finally had had enough and complained. Next thing this woman came out and starting yelling that it was our fault because it is hard to serve eleven people at once. Im not sure if she was the owner, manager or dish washer but it is their job to serve eleven people at once if they new they had a party of that size. The fact that they were understaffed (one waiter, one waitress, and one bus person for a restaurant of this size is inexcusable especially when the wait staff has to double as bartender also). If felt bad for our waiter but also he could have at least asked once in while asked if anyone needed anything. This woman that yelled at us was so unprofessional and rude that it will be our last time eating there. We have been meeting at this restaurant for the past six or seven years but there are plenty of other places to go. Never again! we didnt finish dinner until almost 11:30 - ridiculous.

I like going out for dinner at The Winchester because its really a fun and fancy thing to do without having to drive out of town! You dont realize what a lovely atmosphere the restaurant has until you walk in! The food is absolutely delicious, the last time I went I got the veal francese which was recommended by our server because its the chefs favorite--- excellent recommendation! The value is fantastic as well because I believe most dinner entrees come with sides, bread and a salad to start! By the way, the bread dip is amazinnnng and the chef even makes homemade ranch dressing! The drinks are great too, smart wine options. I respect any restaurant that uses quality ingredients,makes everything from scratch, and fresh to order! Yum, I wish I was going tonight. Also, just to reply to a previous comment, sometimes kitchens run out of food and or bottles of wine--- it happens. Thats what is so great about fresh food (!!!). Maybe the server was looking for your wine or trying to figure out what would be the best option to give you since they were out of your first choice. :) There is a bar on the other side restaurant (totally separate) which is fun too but its a completely different atmosphere than the fine dining room. "Running low on menus".."sorry, we are redoing our wine list"...and we dont have the bolttle you ordered (ordered 15 minutes prior to waitress informing on need to make another selection)."sorry, we ran out of sundried tomatoes; hence your entree not available..you will have to order something else".... My medium rare steak was absolutely raw and uncooked......and needed to be sent back. Had to personally find the waitress, and hand deliver the uncooked steak..bringing it to her to get it re-cooked. God only knows how long I would of had to wait to have her come back to the table to inquire as to meal status?? Initial wine ordered arrived at table 40 minutes after we were seated. Service was poor. Wait staff understaffed and/or undertrained. Overall, a very unenjoyable dining experience. The lttle touches a server can add to the dining experience were totally lacking. First & last visit to this dining establishment. Not a pleasant experience and Winchester Restaurant. NOT RECOMMENDED. And to add insult to injury, we were required to pay a 20% gratituidy for party of 6. You are rolling the dice when you go to this place.

The Winchester Restaurant is our favorite restaurant to dine at. The atmosphere is perfect. All of the entrees are cooked to order, so you know everything is fresh. The price is very reasonable considering you get hot bread with homemade dipping oil, and a fresh salad with your entree. The chef is just amazing with the spices. The waitstaff is very attentive. So if you are looking for a very nice evening out, I highly recommend the Winchester Restaurant. Brian and Lisa

Excellent food, service, and Jerry the owner and chef went overboard to help me with my wheelchair getting in and out of his VERY CLEAN AND DECOR RESTAURANT AND OF COURSE HIS WAITRESS was also the very very best (her name we will keep for our own) We are looking for the DAYS WHEN THE MUSSELS WILL BE ON THE MENU.

As always the food was great. Ricky the owner and chef is a true cook and really knows how to make sure the food is cooked just right. Dont be in a hurry for your meal is cooked to order, enjoy a glass or two of the many great wines they have. Mark, the main waiter is also great and with a smile will help you in your selections if needed.

Do not go to this place!!! I repeat do not go. It used to be good a few years ago but now it is horrible. food and service is horrible. Very sad this used to be a good place , look under the table and see how dirty it is. Nasty! The server had very dirty hands and touching our plates.

Menu was full of errors Veal Picatta made from chicken? Spelling errors as well. Not professional. Food was ok but pricey. Wait staff was also ok. For the price pd I would expect far higher quality. Refused to take gift certificate we were given as well. Would not go back again.

So much fun.. Food was great, atmosphere was awesome.. Came out for Friday Night Karaoke and it was great. Drink Specials, great music, awesome people!! Highly reccomend!!
