Ive really only tried the lunchbox of the day, but since the meal rotates, Ive been able to try the saag, the curry, and maybe a couple other sauces. Everything is cooked well, and each of the sauces tastes fresh and "homemade". It might not taste exactly like what youve had at other Indian restaurants, but there are a lot of regional and personal differences in cooking - so I think it speaks well to the owner making a dish in their tradition, rather than trying to tune it to match everyone else. The owner has an outgoing personality and engages with everyone as they come in.

There is no option to give a BIG ZERO rating. Pathetic. Absolutely arrogant and disgusting attitude. I called this place and just mentioned my hotel name at the start of call to see how far I am from this place so that I can come and have food. But, the person who attended the call did not have the courtesy to understand why am I telling the address and even before I could speak anything started yelling that what is the use of my address and stuff like that. And he was trying to predict his own reasons why am I mentioning my address.

Too haughty. Very rude is what youd expect stepping here. Visited once around 7pm, though website showed hours till 8pm. Rudely stated his mood was to close the restaurant at 7pm ET, so he closed. Never had a chance to try the dishes as possibly was too moody to even have new customers. Used services from a different & better one in Norwalk than visiting here to get the worst attending service. Id never recommend this one to any person & I am definitely not using their service of dine-in.

When you eat this delicious food you know it has been prepared by someone who cares. Its good, honest, fresh, and perfectly seasoned. Mumbai Rasoi is our go-to place when we feel like a decent home cooked meal but dont have time. (And we go to it a lot..) Shaan is an excellent proprietor. He is relaxed, friendly and attentive. You really cant ask for anything better. This is how other places should be. This place really is a gem and it deserves all the stars sparkling around it...

This guys is fantastic. went in the other night, and sat down, ordered our food and chatted with the owner (who works completely by himself). He brought some of the food out as he was preparing and asked if it was ok, and how he might change it for our tastes. Who does that? Then he offered us a beer from his own fridge. The food came out, and it was wonderful. As good as the food was, the customer service was as good as I have ever had. We will go back again and again.

Excellent value. This place is new, I think, and Im glad it opened up. Its very rare to find an Indian take-out place, usually its sit-down restaurants. The food is just as good as you would expect at a restaurant, so you really get your moneys worth. The portions were really good and the place was very clean. Service was excellent as well. The counterperson really made his best efforts to ensure sattisfaction. Two thumbs up

AMAZING!!!! I am not Indian, but having been to India I can say I have had authentic Indian food...and this place is fantastic! Best Korma around and the paneer is my favorite. Amazing authentic Chai Tea. The owner is very helpful and friendly. The customer is his main priority and will accomodate just about any request he can. Do yourself a favor and try this place!

My favorite place for Indian food. The owner/chef Shawn is wonderful and remembers the regulars. The food is always unbelievably flavorful and prepared exactly how you request (mild, spicy, very spicy, etc). The servings are generous and you could get 2 meals out of a dinner (however the food is so delicious that you are going to eat it all in 1 sitting).

I wish i could give more stars. An absolute treat to have food here. The super jolly owner with an eye for pristine service makes you feel right at home. Food was delicious but the customer service was the highlight. Cant wait to go to Norwalk and try this place again.

Amazing! Flavorful, not very greasy, mild spicy flavor (default unless you ask for more), FRESH chickpea sauce and AN AWESOME Mango Lassi. I have tried 3-4 Indian places in Fairfield county and this is the best all around experience. Owner was very friendly as well.

Ive been getting food here for years, and its always excellent. I love the spinach dishes, I like their version much better than the competitors in the area. The owner is always friendly and will gladly adjust recipes to match your taste.

From Austin, TX and in town for business, all of the places Ive tried in Austin did not have matar paneer as good as it was here and the garlic naan was also awesome. Owner was also very nice. Great place!
