One word for the pizza - BLAND! IT is not "New Haven style," at least not the old New Haven of Pepes and Sallies and the like. Like many of todays pizza makers, they dont use enough ingredients. The toppings are sparse, and they are not well seasoned. Also, they dont use SAUCE in their red pizzas, just crushed tomatoes, and if the tomatoes are not perfectly ripe and sweet, which theyre usually not, you get a very bland pizza without much taste. Maybe many people dont know the difference, but if you have a pizza that is properly made with all the right seasonings and sauce, along with plenty of well-made and cooked toppings, youll know the difference immediately. This place unfortunately does not make them.

This is by far the best tasting pizza on the shoreline (and in my humble opinion all of CT). The crust is thin and extremely tasty. Whenever my family visits CT the first thing they ask for is take out pizza from Red Tomato.

I was born in New Haven near Wooster Street and Pepes pizza before moving to Guilford 40 years ago. The red tomato is by far among the best best pizza youll get anywhere. We love the house special!

Best pizza in Madison! New York style, fast service. Foxon Park Soda is a plus. If you are ordering takeout, plan for an hour - they get busy on nights and weekends.
