Its not the same owners Red Rooster Deli Bridgeport has stale bread dont waist your money aint nothing fresh about that so called deli if your expecting the original Red Rooster Deli you will be disappointed. I hate to waste money and food but I literally took one bite and threw the sandwich on the ground in their parking lot.GOOD bread makes a sandwich but their bread was so stale I though I was at a soup kitchen, but a soup kitchen wouldnt of served me no sandwich like that and then charge me for some crap they was about to throw away bottom line THIS IS NOT THE SAME PLACE YOU REMEMBER!

Its not the "old Italian joint" it used to be, but they still make good sandwiches. If you go in around lunch, be prepared for the rush of Bridgeport Police officers who treat it like its their own home, and can be pretty rude at times. Boars Head meats and the place is clean.

Wow, Red Rooster still there! We used to live where the carwash is now across the street in the mid-70s and loved going to the Rooster for sandwiches! Nice to know theyre still in business.

My friend owns this spot now but I have been visiting this place for over 20 years as well. The food has always been excellent and its a perfect spot for a quick lunch.
