I have been a fan of the Garlic Knot and have been talking it up to people for a few years now. Used to live in Denver and frequented multiple locations so I thought we would try this place out west for a Monday pizza night after work with the kids, Grandma and some family. I called and asked if they delivered to my address. After a few minutes they came back and told me they did! Great. I dont have to eat Dominos. 30 min later they call back and cancel my delivery. "We dont drive 8 min away" or something to that effect. "If you like you can come pick it up." Ok I think. I can make it over there and be back within the 1 hour delivery time they quoted me on my first exploratory call when I gave them my address to verify for delivery and they said "YES! we deliver to you". So I get in the truck and drive down there. Tell them it is me and guess what. They cancelled my credit card after I told them on the phone I was on the way TO PICK IT UP and would see them in 10 minutes. Wow. Well I left the card at home. Because it was paid for. They had cancelled the card. I left with NO PIZZA. My family waited an extra hour and half to get some food. These people are a joke. I will never step foot in a Garlic Knot again after this experience. You guys wasted well over an hour of my time, starved my family, I paid you, you verified my address then 30 min later cancelled the delivery and made me drive to you. Then you threw my food away or took it home. Losers. If I did that in my business I would be out of business. Lost a loyal brand supporting customer guys. If YOU screw up that bad let the guy take the pizza to the family waiting on you idiots. We did everything correctly and have been rewarded with turkey sandwiches from the fridge. Just order Dominos. At least they do what they say they will do.

EDIT: Jun/25/2017 This place went downhill. They switched managers maybe twice or 3 times, first manager who opened up the original store made everything 4-5 stars. Second manager made the store 3-4 stars. Now, the place is 2-3 stars, always a "Stars range" depending on the staff on the day. But its mostly two stars now, youre lucky to get 3 stars. Why my reasoning? Ill try to keep it short: At times the pizza is partially cooked (unmelted cheese), or cooked yet arrived somewhat cold, they slice the pizza haphazardly: didnt cut deep enough, or not enough slices; your sicilian that usually gets 16 squares is now 8 rectangles. The staff has a hard time listening to you over the phone, like theyre high. And they skimp on ingredients, I ask and pay or "Extra pepperoni" And get maybe +3 more pepperonis now. Old review: Oct/2011 I ordered pizza from here when they first opened and never looked back. The quality of their food is unsurpassed than any other pizza place Ive had. They also have a few more ingredients to put on your pizza than any other delivery place.

Today the experience was not great. I asked for a half hawian half pepperoni pizza. I received a half cheese half pepperoni pizza. Had to send it back. And on top of it all they have no soda. The tea that they did have ran out half way through my cup and watered it down. The music is not just bad rap music but it is very vulgar. There are flies everywhere. They havent cleaned the walls recently. There is also a trashcan right next to the register its a small space and that is pretty gross. Not to mention the other full trashcan Infront of their kitchen. Both cans are very discolored and splattered with who knows what. For some odd reason they have duct tape on the pizza stand. Just an all around bad kept store. The food was edible at least. Some of the pizza I ate was crisp but after just the first slice the grease had soaked through the pizza. There was entirely too much cheese on my pizza. I really liked getting this place delivered but coming in to have a pizza really ruined it for me.

I didnt want to do this but I feel morally obligated to share my experience with this food. I ordered delivery tonight after a long day in the mountains and the gentleman taking my order informed me it would take about an hour. An hour?!? The only food i would willingly wait an hour for better be coming from a restaurant with three stars in the Michelin guide. My order consisted of garlic knots and a calzone. Nothing fancy, hard to screw up. Well, the garlic knots were chewier than Hubba Bubbas earlobe and the calzone tasted like someone dumpster dove to find the ingredients. I will not be eating at or from Garlic Knot ever again unless they pay me (in that case I retract the previous statement).

Ive eaten here 3 times after living in brooklyn for a year, and I can say this is better than the AVERAGE NYC pizzeria. Not better than the best, of course, but it certainly provides better product at a cheaper price than you can get it in brooklyn. It knows its target and hits it well, and so far delivery has been within timeframe promised, friendly drivers, friendly in resteraunt staff, good eats. Sure, their garlic knots could use more garlic (ironic), but these complaints are minor compared to their overall product quality and taste. TRY THE LASAGNA!

Generally this place is pretty good. But the week of Thanksgiving, I suspect the owner is on vacation. The two kids running the shop are so hi they have trouble understanding words. The pizza was dry and the toppings, mushrooms were old and moldy, the jalapenos were fine. They forgot dipping sauce for the nots, when I returned to get sauce, the guy blamed it on the other worker and apologized, then served up some funky sauce tasting like it sat on the steam table overnight.

The staff was very friendly and the older gentleman even gave all of my kids their own choice of Dippin dots. On him! He said they were very well behaved. I would definitely recommend this place and we will definitely be going back. The food was great as well. Salad was nice and fresh, although I couldve used just a tad more dressing (which wouldve been accommodated with no problem had I asked) and the pizza was delicious as well. Good job!

I ordered on grub hub. 20 minutes after the delivery time, I called. they never placed the order. They said it would be another hour. I canceled my order. The person working there was absolutely clueless. I will never use them again. Management - hire more professional people. the people working there do not represent you the way Im sure you would want your customers to think of your business.
