Namaste (Hello in Hindi) Nuh-mus-te This is our favorite (almost only) restaurant. Once you explore the well priced menu, you will have found dishes that satisfy any palate. Their vegan dishes are excellent. The Tandoori half chicken sizzling on top of steaming peppers, onions and cabbage is hard not to order every time. The people who provide this fare are as good as the food they serve, Im glad they are here. The Himalayan is a great place to eat. 12/01 Follow up review Today we dined at the Curry House and Grill, formerly Sizzling Tandoori, in downtown Santa Rosa,. We are open to any good Indian food so we love the competition. Here is what we found. Service: totally lacking (the poor woman was overworked that waited our table, she forgot things we ordered) ambience: pleasant food: Heres where we get specific. Heres why. The Chicken Tikka Tandoori was served without Tandoori sauce? It was dry and the vegetables were few and raw. The Tandoori Eggplant was total disappointment. Instead of a sizzling steel platter it was presented as a brownish muck in a bowl. We would not eat here again if it was free. We think this is strictly a tourist spot. Not for locals. Im driving to Windsor for real food. Cant wait to clear the palate back at our Himalayan Restaurant in Windsor. The food, service, portions, price are outstanding.

Fantastic food. Everyone enjoyed our meal. My teen sons first curry and it disappeared quickly. My Aunt had a really tasty rice dish and everyone tried it and wanted it too. They were totally able to accommodate my allergies and still make a wonderfully flavorful dish.

Fresh and well-flavored. If youre used to spicy food, and they ask you if you want mild, medium, spicy, etc, you probably want to start at spicy. They mean white people spicy. Lol. But they took our take out order just 10 minutes before closing.

Best restaurant around. Lamb vindaloo is awesome. Tina Masala is the best. And dont forget the wonderful garlic basil nan bread. My favorite restaurant now. And the atmosphere is great on the little patio.

Great food at affordable prices. I really love their lamb matar and daal soup. My daughter loves the plain naan and tandoor chicken. We normally order take out and I always hot and fresh.
