Was there for a planned event (motorcycle run preregistration). Establishment hired a popular local band so there was a band crowd as well as our crowd. This was the 9th annual run so they knew what to expect. They had several servers and bar staff. We ordered and after 2 hours I was told by the owner we wouldnt be getting our food as they were overwhelmed. We saw other people who ordered after us get their food. Even after we ordered our beers, after 30 minutes I had to go in and get our beers. I am a local and have been going here for 28 years and experienced several owners. My band has played there off and on for 20 years. I can understand being overwhelmed when surprised but not for a planned event where they know there will be a crowd. Everyone was complaining about the horrible wait time and poor service. Those around us that did get their food said it was not worth the wait. This is not the Elkhorn Station of yesteryear. If your out this way, go to Mojos Lounge or Browns Corner. Dont waste your time here.

Well all the food was pretty darn good. My steak sandwich wasnt exactly a value at $14 for a thinner than Id like cut, but the fish and chips my son ordered we amazing. My wife had the pulled pork sandwich and they were equally as good. The potato salad is amazing, its made with onion, bacon, potato, and sour cream from what I could tell. The fries are homemade which is always good and the coleslaw was tasty. Everyone enjoyed their food. My only complaint is the prices are a bit high.

If you are looking for a local, off the beaten path, good ole boys, type of place... Elkhorn Saloon is right for you! Very friendly staff, the owners take great pride in making sure that you feel attended to and welcomed. Giant wings along side amazing steaks and seafood. Karaoke or live music is available on weekends. Warning... You may not want to go to any other non-corporate place again, once you spend an evening at Elkhart Saloon.

Loved spending my afternoon and evening here, Skip and Rose were friendly and hospitable, the food was great and the beer was cold. Felt like a regular and a friend as soon as I walked in the door. Highly recommend.
