After all the hub-bub we finally were able to try out Shake Shack. We went on a Sunday around 11.30 and there wasnt really a line to order. The ordering staff kind of set a bad tone but then other staff made up for it. I had a special burger called the Shake Meister that was a single patty with fried onions and BBQ sauce. My sig other had basically a double double. We got fries with and without cheese. I got a special weho sunday and my sig other got the strawberry shake. The burgers were excellent! They were a good size and I didnt feel ripped off only getting a single burger no cheese. I liked the fries, but I enjoy frozen crinkle fries. They also were a little well done which is also how I like my fries. I didnt enjoy the fries with cheese though. I didnt think there was enough added oomf from the cheese to negate the calories of adding the cheese. The sunday and shake were excellent. Shake Shack would be almost on par with In N Out for me if it were closer to my house. Added bonus: a guy came in with a husky puppy. Being a dog lover, and an owner of a husky, this was awesome for me. No one there bothered him having a dog INSIDE the restaurant though Im sure it broke laws and could piss non-dog lovers off. It was rainy and cold so maybe they made an exception. For me - it put them over the top to get the extra star ;-) p.s. you see two sundays in my picture. Our food took too long and one started to melt so they gave me a 2nd. Not necessary but very nice.

Shake Shack is a "roadside burger" joint with much of the fare youd expect from a drive-in style restaurant. From burgers to hot dogs to frozen custard, they even have their own wine and beer on tap as well as Stumptown cold brew coffee. Though the hype for this place is off the charts, I have to admit that Im loving it, too. Firstly, the regular ShackBurger is da best. Its a simple cheeseburger with lettuce and tomato and their own ShackSauce. Some might think it plain, but the buttery bun goodness combined with the tangy sauce and savory beef makes for an extremely tasty burger. I could eat several of them and still ask for more. And if you want to spice it up, they have a variety of specialty burgers, too. Aside from the burgers, they have really good frozen custard. Its dense yet creamy and is the perfect complement to the burgers. They also use the same custard in the shakes. Muy bueno. But my praise ends at the crinkle cut fries. Theyre certainly not bad, but theres nothing special about them. At best, they work well to complete that roadside meal. I mean, how can you get a burger and shake without the fries?! All in all, if only for those tasty burgers, I shall be returning and loving every minute of it (if they even last that long on my tray!).

There has been a lot of debate over who has the better burger, "In & Out" or "Shake Shack"? Shake Shack has the better burger. Is it way better? No. It is a little bit better but it is also important to note that they are a bit different as well. I think the better question is not who has the better burger but is, which place would I rather go to for my next burger? They both have ridiculously long lines at certain times of the day so that is a push. They both have really good shakes but Shake Shack also offers some really tasty ice cream desert options so I would have to give Shake Shack a bit of an edge here. As I already stated, Shake Shack has a slightly better burger (not as greasy) and they also have more variety to choose from. At this point you would think that Shake Shack would be my obvious choice for my next burger but that is not the case. I will be going to In & Out for my next burger and will continue to go to In & Out most of the time. The reason for this is quite simple....economics. For the cost of one burger, fries and a shake at Shake Shack, I can get the same meal two different times at In & Out. The slight superiority of their burgers and their desert options does not equate to double the cost. It is really just that simple.

This place has the tastiest, juiciest, best burgers I have ever had. Whether it be a fast food place or a restaurant. You want a great burger This Is The Place To Go. However I cannot give his place five stars here is the reasons why. The price have you ever had an in and out burger they are super tasty and delicious! Almost as good as these Burgers but not quite however theyre less than half the price. Shake Shack Burgers are more than double the price of an In-N-Out burger and it is not double better. I am going to admit the Shake Shack is a superior Burger but not by that much to pay more than double the price. The other reason I cannot give it A5 star is the wait! The wait at this place is very long but if youre willing to wait a long time and spend a higher price you definitely will get a great-tasting burger four stars.

"This town aint big enough for the two of us!" Move your fat butt over In-N-Out, theres a new sheriff in town! Shes hot, young, trendy, loves to party and man do I like to shack up with her. Shes got a variety of new tricks that those old guys just cant handle. Besides her buns, you know what the best thing about her is? Her hot sisters are about to show up in Century City, Santa Monica, Hollywood and DTLA. Wish me luck! "Someones poisoned the water hole!" Theres booze! What more can you ask for? After you leave your Alcoholics Anonymous class you can head straight there........and get a burger, and watch your buddies get drunk while you gulp up the tastiest and delicious mouthwatering milkshake around. Yep, it brings all the boys to the yard. Literally, its in West Hollywood...line of boys out of the front yard.

Wasnt a fan. After some hesitation due to the long lines, I finally broke down and gave this place a try along with a friend. Needless to say neither one of us were impressed. Staff was friendly enough but the food really is nothing to write home about. I really do not see the overall appeal of this place as it was overpriced, sloppily thrown together, and lackluster in overall flavor and quality. There are much better places around. Heck, even In-N-Out is better than this place, and for me, that is not saying much. I will probably be back sometime in the future and make it a point to try something new to see if that is any better. But, I can foretell a friend would have to drag me along again as it really is not the sort of place I find myself wanting to revisit. Overcrowded. Overpriced. Overhyped. C-

Its a five starrer and worth the wait but not a perfect place. The burgers are one of the worlds best - but their goal is not to make them so big that you get lockjaw....but to have a very specific taste of burger-perfection. It IS comparable to In and Out Burger but its really the difference between Vanilla and Chocolate, not Mortons and Dennys. The shakes are easily better than In and Out shakes - hands down. Their location is great and parking is West Hollywood parking - no problem - - it is what it is and the upside is the fun of people-watching in West Hollywood especially if using their outside seating. But I will admit that their cheese fries were way meh and under par. Get the regulars and pray they fix their cheese fries recipe. I cannot wait to go back for more.
