I am extremely disappointed in this restaurant. We sat at the sushi bar, as I do at ALL new sushi places, to scope out the freshness of the fish. The fish was certainly fresh, so thumbs up there. I specifically asked the server if they served their hot green tea in CERAMIC or PLASTIC cups. She said "I think theyre ceramic." Apparently their employees arent very well educated since she gave me a crappy plastic cup and a big, nasty tea bag sitting in it. I hate the taste of hot liquids in plastic... because it tastes like plastic. Thanks for charging me for something I hate. All plates/saucers etc. were also plastic. Invest in some REAL dinnerware. We ordered 3 rolls, SPECIFICALLY that said they did not have spicy sauce on them because Im allergic to Siracha (it makes my stomach swell, very painful) and I know from working at sushi restaurants that Siracha is the spicy in the spicy sauces. We got our 3 "no spicy" rolls and they were COVERED in what i knew was siracha mayo. I asked the waitress "none of these said they had spicy sauce" "they dont" "then what is this orange sauce?" "siracha mayo" THAT IS SPICY SAUCE. Again, I am pummeled by a lack of intellect. We had to send them back and wait another 20-30 minutes for our food because the menu said NOTHING about it being smothered in siracha. SOME PEOPLE HAVE ALLERGIES OR IBS AND NEED TO KNOW THESE THINGS. I find it very negligent on the restaurants part to put it as THEIR opinion of "spicy" instead of knowing that siracha is a spicy sauce. It showed me that they knew their rolls lacked flavor and werent willing to modify them to improve the flavor to lose dependency on a strong, store-bought sauce. The rolls were.... acceptable. Not bad, but by far not the worst Ive ever had. Service was nice and accommodating, but they need to update their menu to say that they cant make good enough sushi to stand on its own and have to drown it in siracha.

It was Sunday night, but the place was pretty full. We were seated at the bar right away. Our waitress must have been very new. She forgot the hot tea we ordered, did not know the term "Whiskey neat," had to double check our order because I went slightly off menu (please add razor-thin sliced lemon slices to my sushi roll), and delivered the wrong tempura dish. Whatever, she was trying hard. I ordered the Golden Shower roll. That is not really the name, but is close and more accurate. The lemon slices were too thick, but it was the fact they left the seeds in that gave me my first visual clue the sushi chef hated his job AND was terrible at it. The spicy tuna roll was decent. My local supermarket sells better. They super skimped on the actual fish. The rolls were 3/4 rice and 1/4 regret. On the bright side, I heard four different groups sing Happy Birthday from the other side of the restaurant. So, someone was having a good time. All in all, it was road side sushi in Stockton. Translation: I got what was coming to me.

I get take out all the time and dine in occasionally. This last time I went was horrible. I got the happy roll like I always do and when i opened the box to eat my meal I was really disappointed. The first four rolls had nothing in it but sour cream. Mind you these are supposed to have shrimp in them. As I went on the ones that did have shrimp had all the shell pieces in them. Every bite I took was crunchy and it was awful. I also got the veggie tempura. The sweet potatoes were not soft how they are supposed to be they were really crunchy. They also never answer their phone. It seems like if you dont dine in they dont pay attention to how your meal is cooked because your going to take it home. Never again.

Beware i tried to pay with gift cards they hid one and tried to make me believe that i never handed it to the waitress and at the end the gift card magicaly appeared beware get up and pay yourself dont let the waitress handle your gift cards. It was so weird that the lady at the cash register never called the waitress to ask about the missing gift card! Three weeks ago i went there for first time and a Cockroach went on to my shoe i thigh twice before going back but, food was good and I went again! If they dont like people to use gift card then stop selling them at costco, $100 for $79! And take care of the Cockroach problem! Before someone get sick!

It was our first to try the japanese teppanyaki food they offer. The fried rice floating on butter, how many times did the guy had to put butter on the rice. a few corn kernels added to it. It was difficult to use the chopsticks because they dont stick together. The sushi were crumbling too. A SUMO meal should fill ones tummy and appetite but i had a difficult time enjoying the food. There should be enough steak for each plate but we ended up having 2 bite size per person. The price is high and I expect great food but I was so dissatisfied in the end of our meal. I will never go back to this place again... NEVER....

The service is great and the food is really delicious. I dont know if its worth the price though. They are exceptionally expensive for what you receive. Its was busy the two times weve eaten there, and weve enjoyed our cook and showmanship. The atmosphere is more family oriented, the tables are setup where you share space at a table with others around a grill. So, if youre on a first date and want a more cozy setting this is not that type of place. If youre interested in meeting people and are outgoing, you will love this place. Its a lot of fun from that perspective.

Every time my white friends want Japanese they they think teppanyaki. Ok the show is cool but the food has nothing to do with Japanese cooking. Butter and garlic fried rice, is like soy sauce wonder bread it just doesnt work for me. Small portions for a premium price that is cool on a flat griddle what a waste of a good steak. Their sushi is ok at the bar but wow. Sorry my friends that love this show but OMG can we just go to El Rancho for a steak next time.

Fast forward to our arrival - every staff member wished her a happy birthday by name at various times during the evening and went out of their way to pay special attention to her. The whole fantastic meal was accentuated by little touches to make her feel like the entire restaurant was there preparing her dinner and experience. About halfway through, one of the waitstaff asked her if shed like to meet the chef and see the kitchen.

My first time here, food was great but the service is very disappointing. Our appetizer got served last and it was not warm. The waitress has attitude and just passing by us. We really have to get her attention just for us to pay we waited so long before she took our payment and served our food and she just tossed the changed in our table how rude. Never gonna go back to this place.

Very last time we will ever come. Service is just horrible. We used to come twice a month. Happy Hour is from 4:40 to 5:30 but there is too many restrictions. Brought the 4 grandkids and there sodas were half full and the waitress asked if they wanted refills. Of course they do! They charged full price for another drink? WTF? It is time to try another spot. Probably Domos.
