"Its a business doing pleasure with you" is the slogan of The Office Bar. The theme of the bar is something out right out of Mad Men. Office has made a pretty big shift in the last few months, and currently offers live entertainment most nights. This seems to have panned out well for them, as what used to be a pretty quiet spot most nights has become a destination in North Park. Recently, the entertainment is a DJ most evenings, but they have live music and trivia on other nights. PROPS: Solid list of NIGHTLY drink specials, and good beers on draft and in bottles, and no cover for nightly entertainment. SLOPS: It gets pretty crowded in here pretty quickly. Expect a line, if theres something awesome happening here on the night you want to visit The Office.

This is not your daddys (Scolaris Office). Its been pulled out of the gutter and completely hosed off. Whether you loved or hated the old school Meth-head vibe youll have to take your hat off to the clean and sharp new look. Its dark and simple with plenty of seating including the booths that I personally love. What really will knock your socks off is the Happy Hour. Every day, 7 days a week from 5PM - 8PM. Thats right, every day including Saturday and Sunday! All drinks are 2 for 1. Whether you like the crappiest Hornitos or a single malt its all 2 for 1 pricing. After 9:30PM it gets very clubby if thats what youre in to so get there early because it gets packed. So enjoy!

As far as bars go, The Office as good as it gets! Although small, it doesnt get that overwhelming crowded feeling that is all too familiar in CA , and the ever-changing draft selection offers a good variety of tasty brews. I had the Sol Nugget and as an IPA fan, I wasnt disappointed. I also sampled the fried pickles, and these were well, lets just say that I dont think that fried pickles get any better than these! Crispy and not particularly greasy, they left a little after-kick, and paired well with the cold brew. I definitely plan to return, especially since Huitzilopotchli Deli is just up the avenue!

Lived in NP for a while first time visit to the office to meet some friends. Bouncer shook us down for $10 for a Green Day cover band. We arrived as they finished their soundcheck. The band stood outside smoking cigs with the bouncer for an hour and a half. Friends tried to recoup our cover charges to no avail. Not quite fair in my estimation. Left a sour taste in my mouth. Good job greenday cover band, youve got a good thing going at the office. I rest easy knowing that my cover will buy the small fraction of cigs you will smoke in a night.

Recently remodeled...a little, has made it a little more spacey. The Office is small and the further you get to the dance floor the darker it is. I like a dim lit bar but its so dark back there ya cant see if the person you are dancing with is cute or not!!! The drinks are whatever...its a bar. Music is ok. Good happy hour. Stay away from photo booth. It doesnt work that well! There are booth against the wall for seating but of course they fill up quick on the weekends. Not my favorite spot in North Park. Then again I dont really have one.

Hard to get a flipping drink on Saturdays. They need more bartenders thats for sure because the ones they have will look at you until you basically yell for their attention. Which is ridiculous! Not worth the cover! I will not return to this bar. You can find better service elsewhere in north park. Not only that its uber small inside. Not alot of places to stand. I had guys bumping into me, spilling drinks, it was a mess and I came to get drunk. Obviously that didnt happen.

We went for the JD Soundiego Halloween party, except we were too late, so we had to stand in line, pay to get in, and no free drinks! We wouldnt have bothered, except our friends were inside waiting for us. The DJing was pretty good (Madison Ave & Deee-Lite, yay!), but the place was fairly packed. I would like to go back sometime when its not a Bar Holiday, to see the difference. And then maybe I could park normally, but in that area its never easy.

It was fun but at one point It took me about 40 minutes to get some beers . There was a bald bartender who would look me in the eye before he wouldnt serve me yeesh. One of the bouncers (fabiano) also charged my friend 80$ too before he kicked him out now thats service, taking advantage of drunk people. This is the only review Ive ever done in my life but I felt compelled.

Eh. Maybe itd be better if I went when it was a normal bar instead of a nightclub, but drinks were overpriced, and the place was SOO crowded, but they continued to charge people $5 CASH ONLY to enter. Also, something kept dripping from the ceiling. Wasnt the most pleasant place, but DJ wasnt horrible. Like I said, maybe if I went during regular business...

Well maybe the day I choose didnt align with the type of venue I thought this was. Very dark themed night. The DJ played all punk, emo, and dark metal music. The crowd was the same also. The beer selection was okay. Not the greatest but service was fast. Maybe I just went on the wrong night I may give this place a chance again when I go to North Park.

I love the decor and the ambience of this place. Sadly I havent been here in years because of a poorly executed incident on behalf of the bouncers. A fight broke out and one decided to pepper spray one of the guys involved. He somehow forgot he was in a crowded bar and ended up pepper spraying everyone who was in the front area of the bar.

Amazing rotating taps.Dont go in on a busy Saturday night for your first experience, but, if you do, know what you want before you belly up to the bar as the tender on staff didnt have time to talk much about product. The Office feels a bit out of place in Midtown, but would be right at home in PDX or Berkeley Oakland.

Really fun place! My daughter recommended this place. We went after a concert down the street. It was packed with a good vibe. Bartenders were Ok, I understand busy but a hello- acknowledged would be nice, especially after standing in line for 20 min. DJ was great. Small dance floor and hot but a very Fun time.

Great spot. Its a bit small and gets quite crowded but the beer selection is top notch. Everything is on draft and from local breweries. Alcohol content and size is listed so you can gauge your level of intoxication mathematically. No frills and good beer. Enjoy with good The Office.

Small, dark and crowded. They did do some upgrades so the decor and lay out are slightly better than they used to be. The music has been good every time Ive been later at night. That being said, their cocktails are very good and they have a great happy hour!

Its a casual, small and laid back. They have a pretty good happy hour and the drinks are good. The theme behind it is as the name says, an office with a Mad Men type decor. It has a small dancefloor and the music varies, depending on the night and DJ on set.
