HORRIBLE PLACE WITH HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. Today my fiancé and I had an appointment for cake tasting for our wedding at 10:30 am, we left our home in Orange County at 8:45 am because I hate to be late anywhere I go; we thought actually that we would get early enough to grab a bite to eat but we got stuck twice in the fwy because of two accidents but still we got off the fwy with 10 minutes before our appointment and we were on the street of the bakery but the street was CLOSED so we started to follow the detour and it was kind of all over the place . Exactly at 10:30 am I realized that we were going to be maybe 10 minutes late so I called the shop and this GREG or CRAIG the owner answer, I said excuse me I have an appointment with you guys at 10:30 am and before I said anything he said "yes and is past 10:30 so you are late " I look at my phone and the time was exactly 10:30 which is by satellite so is correct so I told him "no, is 10:30 and we are a couple of miles away but the street is closed " again he interrupted me and said " can you see the detour signs ?" So I patiently explained to him that thats exactly what we were following and I was just letting him know that we were going to be 10 minutes late but then he said " you are going to be 30 minutes late !" And he proceed argue with me !!! He didnt care to know anything and just continue to be rude. Since he is a vendor from the Mission inn I didnt wanted to just turned around and go home, so we went anyway ; then we had to deal with another horrible person This woman I guess Jennifer ? She was rude as well and when I asked for the owner she brought that guy even after I told her I wanted to talk to the other owner . When the guy came to us instead of bringing the cakes to taste, he came to tell me " well since you are mad already I am not going to give you the tasting " the. I told him , how can you be so rude? We are customers of the mission inn and you are one of they preferred vendors, we are 12 minutes late ! And he said , not on my time , I dont go by your time on the phone I go by my time on my wall clock! He went on being Nasty at us! I explained we are coming from Orange County and before I even said to you that we were going to be late you were already being mean and rude ! What about if I called to say I got in an accident ? And he said I DONT CARE ! At that point we walked out in disbelieve of how can he run a business with that attitude and represent such a beautiful wedding venue if he is a horrible person to deal with! I read other reviews on yellow pages and yelp and he appears to have done similar thing to other customers

SIMPLY RUDE!!! THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EXPERIENCED...VERY BAD...WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE, from the moment I walked in, the gentleman at the front counter was very snobby,rude and instead of helping me with what I was requesting was totally trying to discourage me by charging extra for everything even though I was willing to pay, and saying oh this is going to melt and said they would not be responsible if something went wrong, and that I would need to order one month in advance and sign off on it (even though this was a very small cake we are talking about), okay what is this a car?! Duh of course, I think every smart customer knows that once you pay its ones responsibility but he was giving me a very bad attitude...I wont ever go back here again..I think they only want to do business with "white high class people"...at least thats how they make you feel. If you want GOOD cupcakes go to Caseys cupcakes at the Mission Inn...and Im going to have my cake done at Cinderella cakes who has much better service and the cakes are better in taste and quality. Even though its a little farther than around the corner from my house, its worth it...not to have to deal with the people at simply cakes.

ABSOLUTE WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE . . .My daughters and I walked into Simply Cakes Etc Bakery to see what they had for my other daughters birthday (which was that day). The young woman who came to help us was very professional, yet very sweet (like we were friends she hadnt seen in a while). She was very thorough in her efforts to let us know what types of cake and cupcake flavors they had. She gave us her ideas and offered us many options to choose from. We purchased a round cake and 9 cupcakes for my daughters dinner that night as well as waters and snacks for ourselves. My daughters and I left there happy with our selection. That evening, we shared the cake and cupcakes and everyone was in agreement that the cake and cupcakes (icing and filling included) were DELICIOUS. Customer service is excellent here. THANK YOU! I will go back to order all my cakes from Simply Cakes Etc Bakery and I will tell all of our family and friends, as well as our clients about our experience that day.

My daughter decided last minute she wanted a cake, i hate grocery store cakes yuk! So i call around 10:00 am and asked if it was possible to get a cake? The lady that i was talking to was very nice and told me she could! She asked me what kind of person (girly, tom boy) she was, i told her girly. I told her she was turning 21, then she asked what time i needed it, i told her around 5pm. I couldnt belive it! The cake this lady made was BEAUTIFUL! And not only beautiful, but the best cake i ever had! These people went above and beyond, i will order all my cakes from here. They are a little on the pricey side, but soooo worth it. I will post a picture of the cake. What bakery can you call and get a custom cake made in 7 hours? No place i know. Great customer service and GREAT cake!

I cant believe ANYONE has anything negative to say about Simply Cakes!!! I must have ordered 20 cakes from them over the years....each one better than the last! They are the most beautiful cakes I have ever seen but more than that, they are the BEST tasting cakes Ive ever had. I have heard people request "whipped" frosting from them & they usually talk the customer out of it because the simple truth is that the whipped stuff melts & doesnt hold up like the buttercream. Ive only experienced the best customer service there! I drive 20 minutes out of my way to order with them! If you want a cheap cake, go to the grocery store. If you want a beautiful & delicious cake, look no further!! I have been brought to tears with the cakes Ive purchased here!

The customer service in this place is the worst that I have experienced anywhere. I agree with Santiago. I also spoke with a gentleman over the phone about wedding cake and he kept emphasizing on delivery charge and the cost for the cake. I already got a feeling that they dont want my business. Anyway, he mentioned that they may be able to work something out with my budget. So I went into the store. The guy who greeted me was nice. But another guy who I consulted with about the cake was extremely rude, told me that my budget is too low, and asked me why I went into the store anyway with this budget. Anyway, I think he did me a favor. The cake samples were way too sweet and tasted like too much butter.
