We spent an hour getting all dressed up to take my Aunt out for her 60th birthday and Jodi was SOOO RUDE. Treated us as if we are lower than her - had an attitude, never smiled, cold. For someone who normally tips 30%, I left 5% and probably should have left $0. No bread until after ALL appetizers were served. Rude about soda choices. No root beer, no mountain dew. Warning: NO REFILLS on soda. You get 1/4 of a can of soda in a narrow cup with almost no soda and all ice and no refills. RIPOFF. We ran out of water because she was very slow on water refills. She would not leave extra water and no pitcher of water. We were eating our appetizers with no water to drink. When she finally returned, out of 5 of us, 3 glass were completely empty and we were parched. Salad was terrible - bitter and full of too much horseraddish and lots of bitter cabbage. I guess if you love horseraddish, you will like it, but if you dont like horseraddish, the house dressing was like Thousand Island on horseraddish. Only BIG plus is the steaks are excellent and you get a large serving of Filet Milon. Another party was having a birthday and the other waitress was super nice and brought a birthday muffin with a candle and sung. My aunt received no such treatment. We had to order our slice of mouse cake and Jodi the waitress said nothing special when we mentioned my aunt turning 60. Her only comment was "Im not bringing out 60 candles for you"... as if we would ever expect or request her to. HORRIBLE SERVICE. My brother joked "We should just stop asking for anything because her answer is always no. No, we dont offer that or we dont do that here."

This place is the definition of unassuming. The decor is classic cattle ranch, the staff and clientele seem a little more rugged considering the valley your in. The is where the working man goes for steak. The steaks are great, reasonable priced. We were with someone who knew the lay of the land and immediately went to the open flame steak pit to consult the chef about what we should order. We got a line on some off menu cuts and prepped ourselves with some shrimp cocktail, extra horseradish and sparkling wine. Getty up!

I love the authenticity of a traditional steak house , the lounge was big with a fireplace another add to the ambiance when its a rainy evening. My husband and myself enjoy a cocktail before dinner as we did the Bartenders are so personable and kind. Our waitress was quick & efficient not much personality but the very reasonable & affordable Dinner we had was exquisite!! Perfect to our tastes. We brought out own bottle of wine for dinner , the corkage fee was 10.00 not bad!! All in all a wonderful date night , thank you

The best things about my meal were the bread and baked potato. A large part of the lobster was hard and rubber in texture. The steak reminded me of jerky. I went here with my husband and youngest daughter. Neither liked their meal. For two adults and a 5yr old, our bill was over $100.00. If the food was worth the price that would not be a problem, but everything from the drinks to the deserts (not that we ordered any) was way over priced for the quality.

My favorite Steakhouse in the Ukiah area. It is unique and can be somewhat of an acquired taste. The first time I ate here, many years ago, I only thought it was OK. The place is kind of a throw-back to the 1970s or 1960s even, but it has grown on me and is now my favorite place to get a steak in Ukiah. The food is pretty good; the prices are reasonable; and the staff are very helpful.

Have been dining there since 1980, and stop by whenever Im in the vicinity. The steaks are excellent, and cooked accurately to order. The sides and decor are nostalgic: reminiscent of the 50s. Prices are reasonable both in the restaurant and in the bar. Portions are practical, so the baked potato isnt bigger than your head. My favorite steak is the NY.If youre in the area, check it out.

They say they have Great steaks, but that is only if youve never had a good one. I wish I lived closer, Id open up a steak joint and show these people what good steaks are. The only reason this is a busy place is because its the ONLY place. The one star is for the good Margarita I had. It helped me wash down the gross hunk of beef and ease the pain of way over paying for it.

Sucks...we literally walked out. I was greeted just fine, but as soon as my better half came up behind me " who happens to be latino" the charm turned into Destain....then we were ignored as they seated people coming in behind is first. The table they sat us at was barely big enough for two toddlers. At this point we werent about to spend our money at such a place.

Fun for the experience if nothing else. Definitely unassuming in location and decor and a pleasant surprise when it comes to food. Highly recommend reservations or be prepared to wait 30 + minutes. The steak cuts are generous and the salad/soup/bread is fresh and tasty. A good stop if youre in the area and in the mood for steak!

This is a great place to get a good steak at a decent price. It feels like you are stepping back into the 1970s when you walk in this place. For $25 you can get a huge prime rib which is cooked to perfection, soup, salad, bread, and a baked potato. I highly recommend checking out the Broiler if you are in the area.

Nice place to eat at. Located in a quite spot just off of hwy 101. Atmosphere is very nice like a home style. Folks that work there are also very pleasant. Food is nicely prepared and looks very nice. I have been there many times and do recommend giving this place a try.

Good home style eats with decent steaks/broiler items. Service can be slow and inattentive. The bar aint much and overall the restaurant is just old and unremarkable. A favorite place for locals because besides Crush south of town there really is no other option.

What a pleasant surprise on a very long motorcycle trip after a long 900 mile day on the 3rd day we stopped here it is out of the way and not visible from HWY but its a local favorite and well worth stopping for a great meal and a great price

The food is really good here. We have been here several times and usually get steak or lobster.I like that they bring you a big bowl of salad that you can keep filling your personal bowl from. The atmosphere could use a bit of an upgrade.

The food was all bad. The house salad was gross and wilted. The baked potato was grossly over cooked and cold. The prime rib had more fat then meat. At over $25.00 for the meal, I was very disappointed and wont ever eat there again.
