I love Bear Claw Bakery! They have the yummiest cakes :) I go a few mornings a week and get a breakfast burrito. They have really good bean and cheese breakfast burritos. Margarita rolls the beans herself and they are amazing! Amber is super sweet at the front counter too! Mike the owner and baker is very experienced and his wife Terri decorates the cakes beautifully. They welcome field trips from local schools. Several years ago my son had the opportunity to go there for a field trip and all the kids made a Danish! They had a blast! If you get a chance stop by and visit the Bear Claw Bakery...you wont be sorry!

They never have what I want. You would think, being a local bakery.. you would know what your customers would like. I been there 3 saturdays straight and they are always out of the donut I want and they always say they serve it only on a certain day, So I come in on that day and they dont have it. Oh and they are sometimes late to open and close so damn early...good donuts, but so inconsistant!

We went in on a Saturday afternoon and the pastry selection was slim. Honestly, they didnt look that appealing, but we decided to try a couple of things anyway. We had a raisin danish and a custard filled cupcake. The danish was delicious! And the cupcake was one of the best Ive had. The frosting was tasty, the cupcake tasted fresh and the custard was so good. Well be returning for sure!

Best bakery in the area. I have had their sandwiches & cakes & pies. I guess the pies are ok. The sandwiches are great. The cakes are outstanding. Nothing beats their Charlie Ross. White cake covered in melted chocolate with whipping cream. Service always with a smile. As a customer for 25-30 years, I never had anything but positive experiences.

My favorite donut shop in the Hercules/Pinole area. Also like the chorizo breakfast burritos, which I think are actually made with soyrizo. Glazed blueberry donut was my favorite here, but theyve started doing some various stuffed cronut things as well which I usually try when I go.
