Sierra Deli is an awesome little family-run corner deli. To start with, the food here is excellent and diverse - sandwiches, burgers, many different types of salads and fruit, a soup of the day, even a special of the day. My coworker introduced me to this place with their Vietnamese pork sandwich and it was fantastic. Im trying to get to all sorts of items on their menu, but delicious favorites keep slowing the process exponentially as I pick up new favorites every time I order something new. My whole office loves this place, and it would seem so does about every other office in Jack London Square from the line I encounter every time I come here. Sierra also proves to be a community favorite with its convenience store section - a quiet corner of any last minute item you may need from an emergency supply of Midol to a tin of Spam. Sierra Deli is a win. The line sucks, but understand that the line exists for a very good reason to stand in line for. The family that runs this place has an excellent thing going, and I wish them much success. Ill be coming back here again and again.

I have eaten here twice. The first time was approximately six months ago and the next time was yesterday. I really wanted a nice deli sandwich and could not remember if I liked it the first time. Yesterday I ordered a turkey, avocado, and cheese sandwich. The dutch crunch roll that it came on was overly sweet. At times the turkey tasted off, as if it had touched other meats and had time to propagate some more bacteria. It was not pleasant. For four hours after consuming this sandwich my mouth had this sweet aftertaste. Not in a, "Mmm, I love sweets," way but in a, "Ugh, that is nasty," way.

This is really awesome for sandwich. I am vegetarian and I generally find very few places which serves good vegetarian option. This place is one of them. I really like their vegetarian sandwich. Here you can also customize you sandwich as you do in any subway. They also have fresh salad which is tasty and healthy. I would recommend to try their salad. Staff is generally friendly. There was not a long line here when I visited during afternoon. But if you want to beat the crowd then you can order on phone and your order will be ready by the time you reach here.

Sandwiches are good, as well as the side dishes. Prices are on the high-end for the quantity, and the service can be hit or miss. Expect a long wait during lunch and during pretty much any time of the day (has taken 10-15 minutes for a sandwich on several occasions!). The service is always rushed (mostly efficiently, though), and more than that nice theyve messed up simple orders. Overall, good food, but not worth the wait and the price.

This is THE deli if you want seriously amazing tasting sandwiches. The food is fresh and made well. I do wish the place had a better selection of corner store food and sundries. Parking is a little tough around there but not impossible. If you want a good sandwich or just fresh food, this is the place to go. Glad they are here.

Most popular for the deli business. Fresh sandwiches, pre-made salads, hot soup, burgers, and prepared salads (egg salad, beet salad, pasta salad, etc.). They usually have a special hot dish of the day too. Must try are the cookies and desserts that are always changing. Staff is very friendly and efficient.

A perfect place to grab a sandwich. They have a few tables inside and a couple outside for a nice day. I highly recommend the reuben sandwich. The staff was great and the food was amazing. Worth checking out for sure.
