A friend of ours told us that Bella Roma was much improved after the last time they changed hands, and we finally got around to giving it a try. Id give it 2.5 stars if I could, but Im afraid I have to round it down. The pizza itself was three stars (its okay") -- it wasnt phenomenal, but it was at least pretty good. However, it seemed like they were skimpy on the toppings, especially the cheese; while its not unusual for our kids not to eat the crust, there was a large zone next to the crust that only had sauce, which our kids also wouldnt eat. It seemed quite overpriced for what we got. What drives the rating down, though, was the ordering experience. We tried it because the coupon bundle wed received in the mail the day before had coupons for Bella Roma, and we decided to go for the "2 large, 2-topping pizzas for $29.99", and planned to do half-and-half on them (half with cheese only, and 2 different toppings on each of the other halves). When I called, I was told that there was no such deal. When I said I was looking right at the coupon sheet that just came in the mail, he said that they must have misprinted it, and they wouldnt honor it. He then told me (not asked, told) that I should use the better deal -- one cheese pizza, and one supreme (or up to 4 toppings) for $28.99. Well, thats not really the same, is it? I want at most two toppings on each half, not 4 toppings anywhere. But I went along with it, and had him add two toppings to half of the cheese (for more, of course). Then when I told him what I wanted on the halves of the other pizza, he told me (with attitude) that their computer wouldnt let him do halves. Seriously? Yeah, try it on their website -- they can do half-and-half pizzas, but not as part of the special. Fine, give me the same two toppings on the whole thing. If Id known how skimpy theyd be on the cheese, I would have added extra cheese -- oh, wait, they dont offer it. We went ahead with it because the kids were hungry and crazy, and because we were expecting great pizza. I wish Id listened to my gut, which was telling me to be put off by the attitude I was getting on the phone. After being told brusquely that I couldnt get what I wanted (which didnt seem unreasonable), I ended up with mediocre pizza. Not bad enough to drop it to one star, but we wont be going back.

I love reading the reviews of restaurants like Bella Roma in towns like Livermore... No perspective... And the only thing the customer is when talking about always being right... Is an a##hole. I get Bella Roma at least once a week. Its the best that delivers (I love Melos) Its the best NYish pizza in town. Does it come lukewarm ever once in a while... Sure... Thats what my pizza stone is for... But thats also what happens with pies made with fresh ingredients (the cheese on Dominos pizza comes in a box labeled "pizza cheese"...??? Thats not mozzarella) ... Thats what happened when you deliver, as a mom and pop, to the whole town. And the old guys can be brash and short, but they are good guys once you get to know them and they you. Sounds like most of the negative reviews should stick with papa John, Dominos, or pizza Hut... Since they wouldnt know good pizza anyways. Four stars.

I love their pizza but I have to say they have a very rude customer service. I called their restaurant filing a complaint because my pizza was cold and they said they take it right out the oven and it doesnt take but 10 mins to my house and my pizza shouldnt be cold in 10mins. i called them saying it was cold and one of tje workers raised their voice at me and i said u just lost a customer and they didnt even care. That worker was the most immature person i have ever talked to

I am surprised that some of the reviews are quite low. THIS IS THE BEST TASTING PIZZA IN LIVERMORE, PERIOD. Starting from the sauce, they use real oregano, and I am almost certain that is made from scratch. The dough allows for a great crust once cooked, not too thick, not to thin. Prices are competitive, not the most inexpensive pizza but certainly not expensive. Try it, they are a fair, locally owned business.

We ordered a pizza online. After 45 minutes and no pizza we called. They said it would be 20 minutes. At the hour and 15 minute mark, we called again. They said the driver had just left, it would be a couple of minutes. The pizza arrived after an hour and a half. It was undercooked. The crust was soggy. The driver was surly and unapologetic. We were very disappointed and will not order again.

I cant believe their rating is 3.6. Ive never had a bad experience with their pizza, so cant rate there service if eating there (never have). But, if you want a great fresh tasting thinner crust pizza, this is where to go in Livermore. We always get it delivered and it comes nice and hot. Reasonably priced it also a nice plus.

Its 7pm on a Saturday night. I go in for a slice of pizza. "We dont do slices right now were too busy." Empty restaurant. It seems odd that they would not anticipate for foot traffic as well as orders on a Saturday. It would be different story if I was told the wait would be extreme, but instead it was just "bye."

This Pizza place is the best i ever went to. Ilove there Pizza. Its a grat place to hang out awhile and its the onley Pizza place you can get just a slice of pizza instead of the whole thing. Irecommend this place to anyone

I cant find a better Italian pizza. These guys are da best. They really know how to do pies and Calzones. Gitta in heahs, dont Ima gonna beat you frikkin ass, LOL! They make DAMN good pizza made by Italians.

I absolutely hate this place! The owner is extremely rude, the service is horrible, the pizza mediocre, and the restaurant, dirty! What more can I say to ask you not to EVER go to this place! Disgusting!!

Friendly, FAST service on a Thursday night. Said my calzone would be done in 10-15 minutes, nope. Only 9 minutes. And SUPER delicious, gigantic calzone. Id go back for sure.
