Free meala at La Capilla *EXTENDED*BIRTHDAY MONTH=BIRTHDAY COUPONS=HAPPY RODNEY Free combination plate - tacos, chimichangas, enchiladas or chile relleno A little bird told me La Capilla Mexican Restaurant gives free food on your birthday. Being one not to pass up on free, my family & I hippity hopped our way here for lunch. Okay, I was the only one that hippity hopped. Hey, it was my birthday! ;p Fresh chips & salsa to start. The salsa was too spicy for some, but not for me. I decided upon the chile relleno combo plate- Busting at the seams with cheese, this hefty plate was tasty & good. Accompanied with a ton of beans, a scoop of rice & a dollop of sour cream, the chile was the least heavy of the dishes we had. Did I mention it was drowning in cheese, inside & out? If you like cheese, then youre in luck at La Capilla. My family enjoyed the chimichanga & enchilada combo plates. They also looked filling & satisfying. Cheesy, of course. To end the meal, yours truly had a complimentary leche flan for dessert- It was the instant flan made from a box, but being free, Im not complaining. It reminded me of the lychee pudding cups sold at Asian supermarkets. The whipped cream on top was a nice touch. A few bites and it was gone, gone, all gone! Service was good. Our attendant filled our drinks & brought out our food in a timely manner. Plenty of seating, with tables & booths. Think El Torito and youll have an idea of the layout. Parking is in a private lot thats anchored by Super 1 Mart. 3.5 stars, rounded up to 4 La Capilla offers Mexican food that, while not mind blowing, is satisfying comfort food thatll fill you up for a decent price. I enjoyed my free meal & will be back for my next birthday. Which I hope to have many, many more of! Recommend! NOMNOMNOMNOMNOMNOMNOMNOMNOM

My favorite thing to do now is get food to go, as the service, while not intentionally bad, just cant keep up with the demands of a crowded restaurant, especially such a strangely-shaped one. The food here is FANTASTIC. The homemade salsa is delicious, even the chips seem perfect! The drawback to the restaurant, the reason it cant get all five stars, is because it is very difficult to get refills, etc., as the shape of the restaurant can prevent your server from even seeing you. Best time to eat here is, of course, non rush hours; early afternoon and early evening. Being seated on the main floor you get a better server, but you also get the super-noise from the open kitchen doors. Just be ready to be patient, and enjoy the food!

DISGUSTING!!!! This place is still in business? I had the carne asada and it was burned. The beans, rice cheese and the enchilada had the same chili Flavor. My wife had the tamale and only ate 1/4 of it before she lost her appetite. My son loves tacos but surprisingly left it alone. Wow. The service sucks and to be quite honest the place looks inhospitable. Im half Mex/Wht and I know what Mexican food should taste like. Im never coming back!

I normally get the Huevos Con Chorizo and that is really good. This time it was Burrito De Carne Asada and was also just as good. My wife loves the Flautas. The service is normally really good, they are right on top of it when you need your drink refilled, but on this visit it was not as good and they were not busy. Usually never so packed that we had to wait to be seated, but never dead in there either. Dinner for 2, $20.

Just came from my favorite Mexican restaurant. I had my tacos and my tortilla chips and soup. Been going to La Capilla for over 31 years, started in Torrance california. They stay true to the original menues and the flavors. love it so much. Thank you for keeping it the same as far as the food goes and the service is awsome.

Went here a few months ago. Food is not good. My margarita tasted off, and the service wasnt good. Waitstaff was hanging out in a side kitchen area. I live close by in La Palma, and wont be back. Ive been here twice, and both times I was disappointed. Not sure how this restaurant is still in operation.

La Capilla is one of the best Mexican food restaurants we have ever eaten at. We have been going there for well over 30 years and love the food. The salsa is wonderful. We always recommend this to all of our friends. This is why I gave them a 5-star rating.

Ive read some of the other reviews, and I dont understand why anyone would blast this place. The food is good, there is always someone nearby to refresh your chips, salsa, water, etc. Its not "over the top" good, but definitely worth the money.

This place has been here since I was a little kid! You get a free meal and dessert on your birthday! You just have to show your ID as proof, offer valid only on your actual birthday. The staff are super friendly and the food portions are huge.

Best Nachos Ever! You definitely get your moneys worth. Its good for two people maybe even three. I always end up taking some home. I love the enchilada plate as well. Excellent food and service.

Excellent Food! There is a line to get in Friday and Saturday nights so just go in the bar and wait. Great Margaritas and my favorite item on the menu is the Arroz con Pollo. Super good.

Attentive wait staff, mediocre food. Chicken is bland, grilled but soggy. Salsa is flat, not flavorful. Tortillas are not home made, theyre the same youd get from a grocery store.

My wifes favorite Mexican restaurant anywhere. It has the best tortilla soup Ive ever had (hopefully you like cheese). Service was good and we got seated very quickly.

The eating space is compact, not very much room (the waiter bumped into our chairs multiple times). The food is good, however it is large. The music is loud as well.
