Who doesnt like Hawaiian BBQ? When you think Hawaiian food you may think of a humongous roasted pig along with assorted fruits and tasty desserts. You will walk in to a Luau where pretty girls in grass skirts will Lay you. Sorry to bust your bubble but thats not going to happen unless you visit Hawaii. Instead you will get California style Hawaiian food. It is a combination of fried Chinese, Korean, and Japanese food fused with an island flavor. If you came for slabs and slabs of meat, you came to the right place. Depending on your weapon of choice, you can choose from the standard variety of Chicken Katsu, kalbi (bbq pork ribs), or bbq/ teriyaki chicken served with mountain of rice and macaroni salad. There are also more authentic items that I have never tried like Spam Musubi, Kalua Pork, and loco moco. I should really try these items, but I fear I may be disappointed. I much rather enjoy authentic Hawaiian food while actually in Hawaii. Hawaii is so beautiful... *dreaming*. My favorite Go-to items for any Hawaiian BBQ, such as this place, are usually the hawaiian bbq chicken and chicken katsu, because they are hard to mess up. Unless you are Aloha Hawaiian BBQ then Epic FAIL! The katsu is bomb! Not too greasy, but still artery clogging delicious. The chicken is just chicken. I usually apply Hawaiian sauce or just cover the chicken with sriracha hot sauce. Minus one star for Cash Only. Other than that this place is great for lunch or dinner. Huge portions will not let you down. If you are not Man Vs. Food status. One combo may be your lunch and dinner. If you are a worried about a diet, this place is not for you. If you are going to complain about greasy the food is, why are you eating fast food to start with? You should eat your salad and just watch other people enjoy their L&L. Dont be jealous and dont hate. Service is very friendly which is true to Hawaiian culture. I got a free drinks when I use to work near by, because my co-worker would eat here all the time. I think you only get free stuff or discounts if you work within the same shopping plaza. Highly recommended! Just make sure to bring Cash.

L&L in Irvine is a nice little spot to have some Hawaiian. I always get the Spam Musubi which it awesome. My first time trying Spam was from here as a Musubi, and I only tried it because it was a dollar which is a special that they have every Monday. From then on I was hooked. They make the Spam Musubi as soon as you order it which I like. The place is clean, and the staff is nice and friendly. They have cool Hawaiian decor, and nice Hawaiian music. Ive Shazamed a couple of songs from there. Free refills on drinks which you can get yourself, and the staff bring your food out to you. Nice little place.

Your food is not what you expect of a restaurant. It tastes like home. Its like being on the beach in Hawaii on a warm, lazy Sunday afternoon with the grill sizzling next to you and sun-kissed longboards carving the waves. --- Lets be honest. Its not a fancy venue. It doesnt have the best tables or the finest seats - or for that matter many of them - and one of the cooks leans across the counter with her smartphone. Oh, did I forget to mention they only take cash ... but this is what food is all about. It doesnt need Michelin Stars to prove its worth because it has mine. Mahalo.

Fun staff and great food. CASH ONLY! no cards whatsoever so if you go and dont have cash, maybe sneak over to CVS and grab some cash back, or there are several banks nearby (bank of America, chase). We love the chicken katsu and Hawaiian, BBQ beef and grilled teriyaki chicken. Grab extra katsu and teriyaki for dipping!

Was one of my favorite fast-food restaurants when I lived in Hawaii. Great to have some food from my childhood locally. Their Kailua Pork is great. The food is much more authentic Hawaiian food and less greasy than some of the other Hawaiian restaurants in the area.

Food poisoning. Do no go! You can definitely tell the chicken looks like its been out for too long compared to other l&l locations. I even had a feeling like something was off, but still continued to eat it. Huge mistake!

All their food is delicious. All day every day. Poke fridays!! Great customer service. The only downside is that it takes about 10 to 15 minutes for the food to get ready but thats expected when ordering fresh made food.

some of their dishes are totally awesome! (Loco Moco) and I love their macaroni salad. Some of their stuff is bland and tasteless and I would never touch again. That being said their loco moco is excellent!
