Superb! We have no qualms about sending guests to Boon - and do send them there regularly! Things that make me very happy at Boon: - They have a garden behind the restaurant and another at the related hotel/resort and grow tons of the produce they serve in these two gardens! - Heirloom tomatoes! Fresh basil and herbs, awesome cheeses. - Locally and sustainable sourced ingredients! - Vegetarian options... The kind that make meat lovers eat veggie because it look, tastes and smells so very good! - The People: super friendly staff make everyone feel welcome. Feel free to ask questions about the menu, ingredients and so on - its welcomed. - Dont skip dessert - all good! Some unusual combinations made me think twice, but the result was worth it! - Wine menu - tons of Sonoma and Mendo county selections. Good beers too. - Most importantly - Ive loved every meal Ive ever eaten here. And I try to make them at home too... Dont miss Boon on your next stroll down Main Street in Guerneville.

Fantastic. They fit us in even though we arrived late and fed us some wondeful food. Felt almost home cooking. For me the burrata with beet and hazelnut pesto was just divine. The brussel sprouts are almost a must at every table in the area yet shone in this particular presentation. The chilli roasted pork shoulder was just sensational - write a cook book, I want the recipe. Todays special was scallops on cauliflower purree with enoki mushrooms. It was delicious, although didnt stand up to the robust flavours of the pork. A bottle of radio-coteau was fantastic but over priced (at least $10 less in seaside metal a few doors down).

We had a so so time here. The heirloom tomatoes were gorgeous but had obviously been in an extremely cold fridge and they should have been served room temperature. The gazpacho was pretty great but was missing a dollop of cream. The trout was great, no complaints but they brought it out while we were still having our appetizers which made the whole thing feel rushed. Considering the hour plus wait to get a table we really got the sense they were trying to flip tables as fast as possible. We will probably try it again someday but I am in no rush.

I stopped coming here because the quality of the food was painfully inconsistent. And for what they charge, it should always be good. Not to mention the long wait, followed by rushed dining in an uncomfortable, cramped setting that makes one feel a bit like cattle. Very, very hip cattle. Feels like a lot of hype and marketing, which the city folk and bachelorette partiers respond to so nicely. I give it two stars because, at the very least, it keeps most of these people and other weekend whinos contained in one spot. Just truthin!

Don"t go here to eat, because it is very small, and the next time I want to go there it will be to busy. Our waiter said the special was Pork Belly, I said I want it. Fantastic, on a bed of pureed cauliflower with browned cauliflower florets. The salad that comes with it in the same large kinda bowl was perfect to offset the richness of the Pork Belly. The service was warm and friendly the staff was small and efficient. If you go go late so I can go early.

Spectacular food and great, friendly service. We were worried about bringing our kids to such a nice restaurant, but the staff made us feel so welcome and accommodated us all perfectly. I loved my chili braised pork. One disappointment was the lentils that came with the duck were quite spicey which there was no mention of on the menu and overpowered the duck. Other then that it was a very enjoyable meal.

Good food, but a family restaurant it is not. I found this place doing a Google search for family restaurants in Guernville. When I showed up around 5 pm to eat with my family, the way the wait staff treated us made it pretty clear they did not want us to dine there. We ordered to go and the food was tasty, but not really a place to take a family with young kids.

Im going to keep this short and sweet. I loved this place! I had the chicken panino and it was absolutely fantastic! One of my friends had the the pulled pork and polenta, and the polenta was equally yummy! The service was great and the price was very fair. Overall, if youre in the area, this is a must-eat place! :D

We really enjoyed our eating experience here. It had a great atmosphere, super small but we didnt feel claustrophobic. The food was absolutely delicious. We shared a beet salad, chicken with couscous and had dessert. The bread pudding wasnt our favorite but the pana cotta was delicious. Would recommend this place.

The food, although well described in the menu, was underwhelming. I ordered the halibut expecting a nice a fresh piece of fish. What I got was a tough, previously frozen, over cooked slice of halibut jerky. However, the service was top notch, and its a cute little space.

Creative menu and good presentation. I found some of the appetizers to be a little bland. And one of the two entrees we had was far too oily. The flavors were all there but it wasnt quite what I had hoped for.

Lovely little spot near Armstrong Redwoods State Reserve - perfect for a locavore brunch after a nice long hike through giant trees! Really excellent prices and food too :) Get the Brussels Sprouts!

On our way to the redwoods, needed some food before hiking. We stopped for subway but saw boon. Best. Decision. Ever. Perfect in every way. Twice as much as subway and ten times as good.

Come here every time Im in the area. The food is great and everyone knows it. Sure can be tricky to get a table. I would say their wine list isnt the best considering the area its in.

Good California fare with fast service. The host was super friendly and came and gave us updates on when table would be ready when we were having drinks a few bars down.

The Brussel sprouts appetizer is very tasty. Its a small place so you may want to make reservations. The service and recommendations were great.

Always the best food! Locally sourced - including their own garden - incredible flavors. And you cant beat the house made katsup!

Not much space inside. Burger was dry, fries were really soggy. More like noodles than fries. Was expecting better for the price.
