The co-op is the most consumer friendly health food store in Nevada County. This has many reasons but what makes it all work at the end of th day are its employees. Friendly and Always present to help with any questions or quests! The best produce and organics, bulk dispenser staples, Deli and so much more in a fairly small space. Customer services counter will find and special order products from their suppliers even if they dont stock those items in store. Great store!

I love this little market. Full of good, healthy products and laid out nicely. Not cramped. Downsides: parking (lot is tight and Im almost always waiting for a spot), pricey (as often is the case with small grocery markets), & I wish they offered more stevia/xylitol/fruit sweetened items. I dont eat cane sugar and Id expect more in that department. Still a nice little market. And its local. And I love to support local when I can.

Its not as great as you first think. No different than any other store - prices range from good to obscene. The produce quality is above avg. but at times disappointing. I think they could do a little better with fresh herb selections. Some of their bulk items are way below standard especially the olive oil from Berkeley is horrid. Overall a decent place to shop but no competition keeps Briar Patch from excelling.

Like no other, I have looked. I go to all the Natural food stores when traveling. Have been going here before the new great store. Have great sales, and a 10% owner one purchase discounts on various months. The Deli is wonderful, as is the bulk foods section, and the produce section is better than any place around. So popular anymore, I try to find the off crowd times to go. Easy to shop if you know where things are.

I love when I have to go shopping and I get to go to BriarPatch! I always bring my son here, and they have the "banana club," where kids get a free banana, orange, apple, or carrot that they can eat in the store. This keeps him happy and occupied. BriarPatch has the absolute best quality food in every category, especially produce. I love the bulk section. The deli and hot food bar is great.

I was not a health food person. But this place has some of the tastiest deli food Ive ever had, not to mention the selection of grocery items. Second to none. My only complaint is that the deli service for preparing sandwiches and such is a bit on the slow side. Expect to wait 10 minutes or more to get your order even when its not busy.

Probably the best co-op in the world. havent seen anything better when it comes to price and selection. The bulk section is epic. A mecca for everything organic, and it is a distributor. become a member and enjoy. Love the music out front. Ties the whole community together well, and the staff are well trained and extremely polite.

Located in Grass Valley, California, this is one of the best natural food stores North of Sacramento and South of Ashland, OR. Pretty darn good salad bar, produce section, outdoor and indoor eating for munching down your salad and hot bar selections. They also have a deli and bulk foods. Lets give em a 4.5 star rating.

Its nice, I suppose. Very excellent customer service. Kind of overpriced. Customers seem to have the, "Havent I got it all figured out" like rich people at a golf club looking down from on high with an air superiority. Still though, very excellent customer service but for the price, I would expect nothing less.

This place is excellent, top notch. Food is great, bulk section is affordable for usually expensive foods! Environment is great! Stay away from the food bar for affordability but it smells so good, oh my. What ties the whole place together is the music out front it is amazing and brings light and life to community

This co-op has a great selection of local, organic and natural foods but the prices are off the charts so I rarely shop here. Customer service is amazing, however. Ive belonged to many true co-ops in other cities and I just wish this was one of them but it feels more like a Whole Foods than a true co-op.

Huge selection of bulk hurbs. Super friendly staff. The prepared food is amazing. I havent found something I wouldnt eat again yet. There are benefits to being a member but no negatives for not. Which is nice if you dont shop often enough to warrant the cost.

People complain that organic is too expencive but honestly its not that bad there. Especially if you are a member you get some nice discounts. Pluss the food bar and food they maje for you is absolutely amazing.
