I was browsing the internet last night after Disneyland for good Mexican food. This restaurant had some award so my boyfriend and I decided to try it and we made it five minutes before close so we decided to get the food to go. My bf asked for fries and they apparently ran out. After we ordered we sat there for about 20 mins and never were given chips and salsa. The waiter that wasnt helping us saw our tired faces with our heads resting on our faces and went to tell our waiter and literally mocked us. Our waiter noticed that I saw her and I can see how uncomfortable she made the situation and came to let us know our food should almost be done and brought the check. 20 minutes for take-out felt really long ! The bill was $42! I had asked for grilled onions and grilled jalapeños which they charged $3 each and it was left over and very little they packed! I jr also asked our waiter for green sauce and lemons or lines to go and he said they also ran out of green sauce and the lemons or lines never made it to our bag! I am not upset they didnt have the fries or green sauce! I am upset with the service and how much hype this place has on the web! I am originally from California and this food sucks!!!!! I mean I didnt even finish my food! Waste of time and money! Do not go here ! I am sure the people that rate this place with many more stars than one are tourist and dont kno any better! Yuck! I never write any reviews but I literally reset my leakers for google to leave my terrible experience because I dislike it that much!

Looking for excellent Mexican food, look no further than Sabroso! Mexican Grill. My wife is an attorney and I am in real estate, so we have little time to cook, which forces us to eat out often. We have frequented many restaurants throughout Southern California, and none compare to Sabroso! Mexican Grill. Sabroso! is our all time favorite place to eat real, authentic Mexican food. Heck, the food is so good, Guy Fieri had to come and see what all the fuss was about! If you have high standards like us, are looking for fresh food and family friendly service for a modest price, then you have found the right place. Sabroso! has built their success on the familys hard work and the results that come out of Papa Titos kitchen. We have tried various items on the menu. Their famous Chamorro slow-cooked beef plate is on point, and so is the Chile Verde. Both items come with handmade tortillas and Peruvian beans, which will make you never want to eat beans at another restaurant again. The Pozole is to die for, even on a hot day. The Tortas are the best we have ever had, and the Asada plate is juicy, tender and served atop a large piece of cactus. If you are looking for something different, try the mushroom or lemon chicken. Both are tasty and well worth a try. Dont miss out on this place. They have earned countless awards and recognition in the restaurant industry. My wife and I have frequented this restaurant so often, they have become our second family. So yes, there actually is a heaven on earth.

First time to Sabroso!... and I am disappointed. First off, I was not aware this place has been featured on Food Networks Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives; but, by the look of the crowd, I was the only one that didnt know. (lol) It was 10 mins to closing and this place was packed!! Great sign... right? Then the wait staff was so friendly and accommodating ( they were out of guac for the Cal. burrito so they allowed a substitution- two actually I wanted to try the Chamorro because of the reviews and I asked for it in a burrito--not the best idea). Growing up in Santa Ana, I know my burritos and have had thousands...(lol). The burritos at Sobroso! were supposed to come with sour cream but none of the four I ordered seem to have it. Three of the 4 were thinner than what we are used to and they were filled with rice but short on other stuff, like meat, cheese, beans... each lacked something. I dont know... I mean they werent the worst burritos Ive had; but, for all of us to be dissatisfied after spending almost $50 on 4 burritos-smh- I sadly rate my experience 2 stars.

Im sorry to say but the tamale dish was very disappointing. The tamales were on the raw side for the price. They needed atleast 10 more minutes of cook time. I think they serve them that way because theyre afraid the tamales will come out dry. They put the sour cream and a stingy amount of cheese on the husk not the tamales them selves, who does that? Rice and bean come on the plate. That was good. The size of the tamales are a good siza but because they stick to the maze husk you feel robbed. It is hot in there, they didnt have Diet Coke and the waitress that spoke to us was rude and in a hurry. "She was tall and husky" it looked like she Was the only one wiling to work. The other two were chatting it up with people two tables Downs. The floor was dirty too. I had great expectations because of @GuyFieri, he lied. This place is not authentic Mexican eating! They just have a heavy hand when it comes to oregano. I dont recommend this place. Id rather eat from the roach coach.

The food is great. You can never go wrong with the food. I have never had a bad dish here. Its a little expensive. $15 for a Mexican plate with rice and beans. But I gave this place a 3 star and not a 5 star because of the service. We have been to this place several times over the years since they opened, and their service has not improved. The owners and servers are the sweetest people but they can never get the order right. Wrong plate served or sides are wrong (refried beans instead of black beans). You can sit for a long time and not be served drinks or no refills on your empty drink. It never fails, everytime we come here we prepare ourselves for the horrible service. I hate to leave such a bad review. It took me years to leave them a review, but when my Google phone asked me to leave a comment I felt I should leave a unbiased response because I do love the food here and so does everyone I have brought here.

Great food!! I was craving nachos and looked up places on yelp. This place popped up with crazy good reviews. I was like, theres no way theres a place that good with over 1500 reviews!! But it is that good! Apparently, Guy Fieri was here for his DDD show. Came here with some friends. Every single dish was super delicious!! Reasonably priced. Good portions. Excellent service! I didnt really get the waitresss name but she was incredibly sweet and attentive!! Ive dined out A LOT over the past couple of years, both high-end and low-end, and she gave the best service ever!! Treated us like VIPs! Really love this place! So glad I found this. Will definitely be going back and recommend to others. Check it out! They even opened up a take-out/catering place a couple doors down.

Really enjoyed myself here. Always love leaving town and have a whole new crop of spots to stop! Not only did this spot have great reviews across the board on most sites they also had been a Guy Fieri Tripple D stop! Their torta was great, their beans very good and creamy and the carne asada taco excellent! Kinda a Mexican diner feel and it seemed to be fairly busy around lunch time which is always a great sign. Their food tasted fresh and delicious and I would totally recommend this to anyone heading towards the Garden Grove area who wanted good, fresh Mexican food!
