Bought a cup of tea the other morning. Asked the man at the register what kind of teas they have. He told me in a rather impatient tone the choices are up on the board. I looked up at the boards and could not readily see where the tea choices were, plus my eyesight is not the greatest in the world. The man kept rudely saying its up there, its up there. He went as far as to throw a cup up at the board to indicate where he was talking about. Paid for my tea the man practically slammed my change in my hand. Very rude and disrespectful. I do not recommend this business to anyone. Fairfax has really changed for the worse in the last 20 years. Its feeling more and more like Mill Valley

The problem has nothing to do with the food. Its great. But so are lots of places. What sets this place apart is a most unfortunate policy. I didnt love one of the pastries I bought. It seemed stale to me. So i took it to the counter expecting to be invited to select a different one. (This is the policy in most cafes and coffeeshops.) Instead, the cashier actually argued with me, saying it was supposed to be that way. What? The only real way to compete in this industry is service! This was a major fail for the Roastery. Ill move on to the next coffeeshop next time.

The coffee is average. They block a lot of websites, so the wifi is essentially censored. Feels like it thinks pretty highly of itself, while offering little other than location. A boring, run of the mill, pretentious, coffee stop which caters to rich white people who lack depth, imagination, or originality. Id skip it if you can.

What a gem! There was live music on a Sunday when we were there, and he was incredible! Good coffee, friendly service, fast line, lots of places to sit. They have a large variety of beans and roasts. Definitely worth a visit the next time youre in Fairfax.

Im visiting from out of town. Normally I would try to find a Starbucks, but I was in need of a quick coffee fix. I was pleasantly surprised by the excellent customer service and the delicious coffee. I would definitely visit again!

Flies indoors and out. Outdoor seating is dirty and smells like garbage, so nobody was eating outside. Some of the food was good, but the salad was overpriced. Im glad that I waited to eat before tipping.

Came highly recommended, but to me it doesnt differentiate itself from any other coffee place. Good coffee, mediocre pastries, not much else.

Coffee is roasted to a point where you can only taste burned solid matter, in a liquid form. Staff is nice and friendly.
