The food here is killer, especially for the price! Ive paid twice as much for a burger thats half as good. Also, they dont skimp, youre going to leave full. I highly recommend the Black & Blue Burger and the Pastrami Bomb. If your vegetarian, like my wife, they have a Portable Burger even carnivores will enjoy. The service is pretty good overall. They can be especially quick if its not crowded, but this place is pretty popular, so if you come during a rush you might have to wait a bit. The atmosphere is your pretty standard, but slightly more upscale, Irish Pub. The high ceilings and early 20th century architecture make up for the slightly cramped floor plan. One thing Im not particularly fond of though is how loud it can be during rush hours. Not sure if its the acoustics or just the patrons, but your gonna have to lean in or talk as loud as everyone else if you want to have a conversation. Thats pretty typical of any bar in Chico though.

One word. Cheese steak, ok 2 words but have there been two better words ever spoken? I think not! Service was perfect went in at 6:30 to standing room only had a beer and a menu in 5 min food in 20 and the place was packed ..... the cooks here are amazing truly amazing!! You would think making a killer sandwich would be easy well its not. I have been looking all over Chico for a decent cheese steak since I came back from LA...... search over!

Best bar food ever. Mac an cheese with ham is my favorite, although my wife likes it with bacon instead of ham. Next up would have to be the WINGS, and I love good wings. Theyve apparently been smoked, but theyve got a nice crisp to them. Not a soggy just defrosted texture that most places have. AnywAys, at night this place has a pub setting, which is really mostly standing room only. Hear the call of the Banshee.

The food is great, the atmosphere is comfortable at times.The service is hit and miss depending on the management on duty at that time. One of the owners seems to run things as a tyrant, often yelling and chastising the staff on the floor or behind the bar during a rush. The owner in question is very often intoxicated, obnoxious and offensive. during those times a most unpleasant experience.

I have never had a bad meal here. Ive been coming to The Banshee since I was a Freshman at the university (10 years ago!). In that time, Ive just about eaten everything on the menu. I recommend the fish tacos, pastrami bomb (let it sit on top of your fries to get the flavor permeation), and the burger (add an egg). Honestly, though, you cant go wrong with anythingon the menu.

I went here a couple of months ago with my girlfriend and grabbed some drinks and some food.The burger I got was delicious! This is not typical bar food it had one of the most delicious burgers Ive tasted. The bartender was nice as well and my drink was served quickly. I highly recommend this place for a new spot to hangout or to try somewhere new.

Had the Mac and cheese and my friend had the beef photo sandwich. Both were really good. The Mac and cheese is nice and creamy and the top is cook so that its crispy and chewy. The beef photo sandwich tasted a bit more like a ban Minh but over all it was still good and I do look forward to my next visit.

Typical college downtown bar, except for the Mac & Cheese fresh from the kitchen and the beer selection. The staff can be pleasant to rude. It may anywhere from packed to comfortable with limited seating. But the freshly whipped up Mac & Cheese w/ bacon or ham (if you like for a bit more) is to DIE 4!

The Banshee has great food and good service. Its a squeeze at times, but worth the claustrophobic feeling for the generally friendly crowds and snappy bartenders. Try their fish tacos or their cheeseburger and ask the tender to make the owners favorite.

Food is pretty good, but seriously overpriced, I mean anger inducing. $20 for a burger for lunch, in Chico? Almost made me think we were downtown SF. Also interior leave a lot to be desired, now I remember why I only come here once a year or so.

By far the best wings Ive ever had. I havent ate anything else they have yet because Im so stuck on the wings.. Next time Ill try my best to order something new lol. I Suggest going there soon if you havent been there yet.

Popular watering hole for the college crowd, but general has a mixed crowd. Good drinks and friendly bar tenders. They also have amazing bar food. The only draw back is it is usually very crowded.
