Ive been going to Mitchells for five years. Never in my life have I been so embarrassed in public. There must be new management because no one in there has ever been so rude to me before. I walked in with my dogs, on very tight, short leashes. They were not bothering anyone, they were well behaved and all I was doing was ordering a sandwich Togo. I brought them in with me only because it was a blistering hot day and I didnt want to leave them in the car. A woman came over and gave me the most disgusted look and then came up to me and told me I had to leave. I told her I understood and I waited for my sandwich. She then went to get who I assume is the new manager who then kicked me out of the building before I could even get the sandwich I paid for. I am angry and incredibly embarrassed. I have never been treated like that in my entire life. And all of this happened in front of my six year old niece. I will not be returning to Mitchells.

Let me just start by saying that Im a long-time customer at Mitchells. The food is excellent, always. The breakfast... wow; the sandwichs... oh my! And Ive had all of them but a couple. Its also great that there is always a nice selection of draught beers, reasonably priced. I also love the salad bar. So why 4 stars instead 5? A couple of things bug me 1. The new .75 cent charge PER tiny container of salad dressing. Salad dressing should always be included with the salad. 2. You order, return to the counter to get food. Get your own silverware, etc. Then you have to clean up after yourself. I do all these things myself, and yet I usually give a tip (basically because I feel a little shamed into doing so). If I knew it was going directly to the food preparers, Id feel better about it, because I have to do pretty much everthing else myself. I wont stop going to Mitchells because I love the food that much.

The best place to get a sandwich in Nashville. This isnt an overstatement à la Jimmy Fallon — its the truth. They have perfected the craft with a wide selection of options to satisfy your palate and dietary restrictions (options for vegan, gluten-free, etc.). The food understandably overshadows the delightful surprise of a beer selection. Various breweries are featured on tap, ranging from new local options and far-away imports. If youre nice, theyll let you sample before you buy. Not a beer person? Go for one of the craft sodas they have on tap. Id be remiss not to mention the staff. They are just as remarkable as the food, if not more so. It may sound strange, but Ive become a regular at the best sandwich place in Nashville because of the people, not the food.

Ive been to a lot of sandwich shops (and worked at them too) and Mitchell has, by far, the best quality sub sandwiches I have ever had. Definitely the best place in Nashville to get deli-type foods. They have a huge variety of food and drink here so theres really something for everyone. Subs, salad, soup, pasta salads, trail mix cups, juices, coffee, AND beer! To top it off the service is always friendly and casual, and the facility is always clean and welcoming (even when its busy). We come here all the time and absolutely love it. Great work MD team! Keep it up!

I typically get the Bannh Mi, but I have had a couple of the other sandwiches too. Every looks great and the meats and the veggies on the sandwich are the freshest. It is located in East Nashville, but worth the drive. It is one of my to go places when I have friends visiting, but be prepared it is always crowded. There is additional parking across the street in a gravel lot in back of a BBQ place. I hear the Breakfast bar is great too, but never made it to that. The prices are not bad, a sandwich which could be easily split is under $8.00 including tax.

Everything we have ever gotten has always tasted great. But the "hoagie" roll is small, the ingredients skimpy for the price theyre charging. $7.50 for a glorified turkey sandwich, small and thin, and no chips? Sorry, not good enough. PLUS, after you order, you have wait way too long for your food. The line is so long that it encroaches on diners sitting at nearby tables. We think the trick is to call ahead and order before you go. We probably wont go back though. We like to get what we pay for.

Incredible food, and Sprechers on tap with free refills. What more do you need? There isnt a single thing on the menu that isnt delicious. It does get very busy at peak hours, but the service is quick. It can sometimes be a little tricky to find a table, as people tend to linger a bit and the crowds can be big. But, I cant blame them - its an excellent place to catch up over a good meal. Do yourself a favor, and stop in for lunch. Its well worth any wait!

From walking in the door and being greeted by the bartender (Sarah,sp?) to the attentive and courteous wait staff (Kelly and Ann) and Zach and Chad who cooked and delivered the meals it was a great experience. Everything tasted great and the recommendations on beer and sandwiches was spot on. While visiting from Athens, GA I happened upon this place and rest assured, if Im ever in the area again, this will be my go to place. Great job everyone!

They have Sprecher on tap! Thats pretty damned amazing. I had an Italian sub that was delicious and my wife had the breakfast bar. My only complaint would be the extra charge for bacon; I love Bentons bacon as much as the next guy, but charging $1.25 for each piece is a little over the top. I guess its the only way to keep people from going HAM on it though.

The pimiento cheese sandwich was classic and delicious, though the "jalepeno" part did not come through in the least. Still, this was a delicious meal at a cool place with great drink selection. I cant think of much better summer lunch than a pimiento cheese sandwich and a refreshing gose from Yazoo. If youre in the neighborhood, stop by!

You cant go wrong with any of the sandwiches. Everything feels like quality and attention to detail has been applied. The Kombucha on tap is great though I wouldnt mind seeing some variety in the brands one day. Plus.. Draft Beers on rotation, gluten free bread available on anything! Fun atmosphere and a nice patio in the sun or shade.

I know this place is rated extremely high on some review sites. I would say its a decent non-chain place for a sandwich or side. Not a best meal of your life by any stretch of the imagination. Had a hard time paying over $7.00 for a small sandwich, but the grab is that everything is fresh and they have unique sandwich combinations.

Beware of Mitchells This shop ruined other delis for me. I have a hard time eating other sandwiches and feel like Im cheating on my main boo. They also serve brunch that might have rejuvenating magic powers. I can personally attest to being brought back from the dead in one of their booths. Also I love their music.
