Well I would say this is the perfect place for someone or a group of people who were not in a hurry. We made reservations (do it!!) and were seated quickly. Our drink orders were taken (water and hot tea) and then our waitress disappeared for 15 minutes. We sat and waited and waited some more. My tea was no longer hot but more warm and we were ready to order. She took our order then zoomed off again. 15 more minutes passed and finally our appetizer came; then dinner about 5-7 minutes later. The pasta was cold and was sitting in a bowl of water and hardly any sauce. The meatballs were awful; crumbled on my plate. I wasnt impressed with how loud it was but it was very calmly lit. The windows had mold on them and there was a terrible draft. I normally dont complain but for how expensive this place was I was expecting to get a little better service. They were horribly under staffed and had too many customers. I would have got better food and service at the Olive Garden (and Im not much of a fan there either). Overall I wasnt going to let them rain on my parade (mine and my husbands anniversary) but i can honestly say I wouldnt go back again. Thats just my opinion but Im sure it would be okay for someone who wanted to have some pizza and wine.

Our first visit - NEVER going back. Our server must have been having an awful day. Friday at 1:10 pm and the sever informed us that he would have to clean a table if we really wanted to sit down. The sign on the door stated that the restaurant would remain open for another 50 minutes so we were taken aback and more than a little confused by his hostility. It appeared that the lunch service was winding down - more than half of the tables in the restaurant were empty and most of those were bussed and cleaned. He hastily prepared a table surrounded by dirty tables and floor. We asked if we might sit at one of the other, cleaner tables and he said no. We left rather than chance it. Anyone can have a bad day but this was inexcusable.

Was visiting Salem and really craving some pizza. I looked this place up (one of the few places open past 8pm) and it had great reviews. It had a nice atmosphere. Nice cozy pizzeria smell, staff pretty friendly. I asked for a pizza recommendation and the Christos Combo was what they said was the best. Eh....$21.25 for a pizza....better be a pretty damn good pizza. It was just ok. Crust was average, sauce average, toppings not all that. Wouldnt go back, but it did me ok for the night.

Christos was one of the best hidden gems in Salem before moving to this location a few years ago. Now its well-known and the centerpiece of the neighborhood. Pizza comes in two sizes with a large selection of suggested pies or you can make your own. Dining room can be a bit noisy, but the bustling atmosphere adds to the quality of the experience.

Good location. Good customer service. Prices are at the upper-medium range. I am rating 4 stars due to the time it took us to get our pizza, which was 35 minutes. The pizza itself was good but not a wow factor. I ate their medeteranean pizza and the cheese slipped right off the crust. I like the random decorativness of the place.

Ambiance was cool, but not pretentious. Felt a little "gangster mob" vibe. Menu small but specials were gourmet-like. Mediocre beer and wine list. Full bar. Pizza was good. Service was timely. Leaving off one star for parking and lack of adequate seating. Our seats were uncomfortable and table was small.

Christos is an incredible place. Mostly authentic Italian food. The only thing I didnt like was not being able to have fresh Parmesan on my spaghetti; it was grated, store-bought stuff :/ Otherwise, it was wonderful. Every time we go and weve been several times.

khdawg must have come in on a bad day, or his taste buds dont work. Christos has the best pizza you will ever eat, EVER; It is as close to Italy as you can get! Good prices too, considering the high quality and often imported ingredients.

I have been a few different times, the first time I just had the Greek salad. Huge! I dont recommend the large unless you are starving. Last time I went there, I had the Gorgonzola burger. Best burger I have ever had in my life, no joke!

I go there for lunch a lot, and get their amazing personal size pizzas. A beautifully made artisan pizza, and they range from $5.50 to $7.50 ... more than enough to fill the tummy and an absolute steal. Nice atmosphere too!

My wife and I love coming here. The food is delicious, the setting is intimate, and the service is friendly. I love the Christos Pizza and my life enjoys the greek pizza. They have a well-priced and adequate wine list.

I ate Lunch there on Friday and just now Sunday eve I can finally be away from the toilet for more than 20 minutes. I will never ever give them a second chance and do not recommend anyone chance what I am going through!

The selection is good and you can make your own pizza. This is a sit down restaurant, so dont expect to get your food fast. The pizza itself was very runny and difficult to eat by hand so I resorted to fork and knife.

I like the pizza at Christos. I like the pear prosciutto gorgonzola, and the house doesnt skimp on the toppings with the other pizzas. The family portions are a great value to consider.

Delicious pizza, great laid-back and knowledgeable staff. Excellent Italian atmosphere. Have some wine and dinner, then go to a movie at Salem Cinema across the street!

I had the Four Cheese Cannelloni for $8.50 because the pizza seemed overpriced. The Cannelloni was hot and tasty with just the correct portion size for one person.

Excellent food, sometimes slow and disorganized service. I feel a little pricey for the level of service. But keep going back for the delicious food!

Cannot wait to see the new restaurant! The old one was great and as long as Michaels family and staff are there they will serve pizzia that is great!

Pizza was good quality though toppings were a bit lite, pasta was average while the sauce was slightly bitter which indicates it was overcooked.
