Two stars because this place was clean. I know this because they literally poured bleach on the floor and started cleaning while we were eating. First of all, Id like to say this place was clean and the food was utterly delicious. However, it did not compensate for how terrible their employees acted. We seated a booth and were immediately asked what we wanted to drink. Drinks were great, but we didnt get straws, wasabi, ginger or bowls for the soy sauce. So, I politely asked a waiter if we could have those things. We got our straws and five minutes later we got the ginger and wasabi, great! I understand things happen and I wasnt in a huge rush. What happened next was absolutely crap. The waiter came over and slammed, literally SLAMMED down a stack of at least eight of the soy sauce bowls right in front of me. Managers, if you have cameras, check it at saturday night 9pm. Right where my plate was, slam, right in front of me. Awkward pause. What? So, feeling very uneasy we continued our meal and they decide to dump bleach water within three feet of us, dousing us with some nice fumes. Okay? Seriously? Whatever, you got your orders and Im just here to eat sushi. Finished my drink, no waiter around. Waved at the waiter for a refill, nope. Waited some more, sucked ice, nothing. Eventually we asked for the check. We waited a few minutes before a girl finally came over when my husband left for the bathroom. She counted our items, and drinks. I added up the prices in my phone and was figuring out what I was going to tip. Crap service, probably 2$, but when I get up there, the price is 3.85 higher than what I calculated...okay, red flag. Holdon, lemme add this up. I go over the bill with the waitress, she taps on a calculator....something isnt adding up. Price still stands, no arguing, no itemized receipt, YOU PAY THIS. Right. Okay, I normally tip a MINIMUM of $4 on any meal I eat. 15% on a $20 meal for two isnt worth refilling my damn soda. I get it, I tip nicely. I understand your plight. Dont decide to add your own tip in on top. Just dont. My husband and I eat sushi once a week, on the regular. We spend about 25$ every time with a five dollar tip. I like nice even single billed numbers. This sushi place is near our house. Lets add this up. 52 weeks in a year, so well say 50 just in case we miss a week or two. Ahem- 50X$25= $1,250 That is the amount of money we could spend at your establishment this year, not counting for bringing guests over. $5x50= $250 This is the amount of money your wait staff could have received from tips over the course of a year. Now, this is just me, and I know youre probably rolling you eyes right now, but imagine how many other people theyve done this way whove stayed silent. Dont slam crap in front of me. Dont pour bleach next to me while Im eating and dont treat yo self on my credit card because you can. If a customer shows concern, ITEMIZE. Its not that dang hard.

Happy Hour makes me happy. Everything is $1.85. (Or it should be.) This is not the "have it your way, hold the pickle, hold the lettuce, special orders dont upset us" kind of deal. Its clearly a fast pick it up off the track thingy. Which doesnt work for me because... celiacs. The final word in all eating out. If you didnt know, my dear gluten-free friends, gluten is in "artificial crab", soy sauce, tempura batter (oh yes, check it out when they say rice flour --ask to look at the ingredients-- it often includes "enriched flour" which means wheat flour added to your nice rice flour) and most of those delicious sauces. I eat there often enough they recognize my voice on the phone when I call for take out. They are wheelchair accessible -including a lower seating area around the "track" and double doors! Everyone is very friendly. They have a simple rewards program. They do have gluten free soy sauce if you ask for it. And I do have to order everything special cuz none of those gorgeous complicated rolls that keep looping past me are crab, breading or sauce free. They are fast, mostly cool with it but for some reason scallop handrolls get up their nose and they cant stand to see them go for the "special" price. "Ill have to charge you extra for that" is as common as "good to see you again". Still affordable. You can order a cheap tub of ginger for $2 but they are very stingy with the wasabi. Theyre always busy but Ive never had to wait too long. Very fast for take out. Its my go to for nearly $1 sushi.

Three times now Ive found bones in my hot rolls. First time I let it slide but now its just ridiculous. Staff can also be kind of loud and obnoxious shouting at each other from across the restaurant while youre trying to eat. Oh and its a pain in the ass to get some spicy mayo because you have to ask the one person going around the tables and half the time she will walk right past you cause shes going 1000mph. They should just leave the spicy mayo out on the counter. Save yourself the trouble and go to Akira Sushi. Cheaper, nicer, better atmosphere

Sushi Valley....literally the worst sushi I have encountered (aside from grocery store fodder). The rice is soggy and has a stale consistency, avocados are brown, tuna was warm and dried out, salmon was fishy and the service was atrocious. I went in with one friend (party of two) and they wouldnt let us sit at a booth....the place wasnt even half full. Amazing. Sushiville in Tualatin is a similarly priced alternative with a far superior product and great service. Its sad we cant seem to consistently get decent restaurants in this town.

Hands down my favorite sushi place. One of the only sushi places I dont care to spend 30-40 dollars because I know they make excellent sushi. Happy Hour is a bit short, but even if you dont catch it (I think its from 2pm-4pm) youll still want to pay for it. Definitely try the octopus, the yakasoba is great, the miso soup always hits the spot, Rainbow rolls are decent, and the baked mussels are addicting! If you arent that fond of sushi go-rounds, this ones worth the last try.

While we prefer to head up to SE 82nd for cheap sushi, weve gone to this place a few times when weve needed to stay closer to home. The food is inexpensive and reasonably tasty, about what youd expect of a strip mall sushi belt restaurant. Though weve always received acceptable service ourselves, weve been a bit turned off by the way weve seen the staff treating other customers. Also, the sushi chefs are constantly swearing in Chinese.

Lots of selection when we went at lunch (aka not many empty spots on the train), but not really anything I was wild about, same easy to make standards. Got busy with a bit of a wait by the time we left a bit after noon so get there early if you dont want to wait and order what you want. Lady that rings you up is super friendly, but rest of staff seems too busy to interact. Will likely be back.

My family and I love sushi trains, and this time it was not a disappointment. The hostess got us a booth for the wee one immediately, and as the bus but was cleaning, next to us, asked if we wanted anything to eat. They are clean, quick, and had some great food. They even threw in food I was wanting and talking to my husband out without having to ask. Cannot wait to come again.
