Solid food and beer. Had the Cubano and a Blueberry Porter. Delicious! The service started off rather aloof, it took like ten minutes to get greeted, but improved greatly once my server stopped walking by me. I think it was because it was close to closing. She recommended the sandwich I chose and I am glad I asked. Ill definitely be back. Update 4.15.16 Stopped for a beer and a bite to eat on my way to go for an afternoon hike. Sharp contrast today, where service is concerned. Nichole greeted me immediately when I sat down at the bar. She is enthusiastic and very professional. I have some pretty amazing crew at my restaurant and I would hire her in a heartbeat. Her description of the special was on point and if I wasnt going hiking afterwards, I would have ordered it based on her description. I ordered a big salad and rather than just making the easy sale, she made sure I knew what I was doing. This is another clear indication of professionalism. The salad was amazing, super fresh ingredients and a delicious probably house made balsamic dressing. Had the Cubano again, based on the relief bartender Abes recommendation, and again it was fantastic! Between the Phenomenal Triple IPA, the service and the food, I had no choice but to change my 4 stars to 5. It is a fool whom passes Boojum by without stopping for at least a beer. I will certainly be back often.

I have been to Boojum several times and always had good food. The salmon was the best Ive had in western NC, including the Pisgah Inn which boasted "sushi-grade salmon;" good, but not as good as Boojums. Tonight my boyfriend had the burger, and his fries were lukewarm--nothing worse than cold, soggy fries to complement a burger. He also said the beer cheese sauce was grainy. I decided to order the So Gouda Chicken instead of the salmon, mainly because I was in the mood for mashed potatoes, and the mushroom sauce sounded good. But the potatoes were dry and tasteless, and I was sooo disappointed. I realize they might think of the potatoes as just a bed to show off the chicken, but there is no excuse for a restaurant of this caliber to serve a side of that low quality. To top it off (and the catalyst of me writing a less than stellar review), after I told the waitress about it she didnt apologize or anything, just sort of rushed us out of there by bringing our check (we would have stayed and had some more of the excellent beer). Overall, a disappointing experience. It will be a while before I go back; there are plenty of great restaurants in the greater Asheville area that cook EVERYTHING to perfection.

Okay...I am a local guy who has been going to Boojums since the beginning. Day One the beer was great, and it has only improved selection wise since then. The food was a better than average bar food menu...some surprising highlights...generally consistent...the word has been out for a while now...the big picture decisions they have made are impressive...building a good brew pub clientele launches some great brews commercially...and the product speaks for itself...Ingles, Whole Foods, Fresh Market...the big boys may be knocking soon to add them to their "fold"...they have added space (desperately needed) and all would seem to be going well...except now they are so popular that it is difficult to get a seat during large portions of their business hours...still give them five stars...but dont get in nearly as often...not sure what the lesson of this is?

I had pretty high hopes for. The beer delivered, the service did not. The waitress failed to warn us before we started ordering that they were out of half of the food on the menu and allowed us to.cintinue to choose things they didnt have. After we figured out what good they did have, when our food arrived mine (the salmon with rice) was room temperature and dried out like it had been sitting out for a while. The server dropped my dads sandwich before getting it to the table overestimating her ability to carry multiple plates. My family was happy enough with their food. Everyone has a bad day and that goes for businesses. We will be giving it a second try if for nothing else but for their delicious beer in a picturesque town.

Today is 8/5/2017, about 4:30pm. I was just at the Boo Jum restaurant and had to leave with out service. I brought my family there for dinner, we waited for 25 mins after being seated and never got help. As far as Im concerned I will never be back or recommend them to anyone. When we walked out and told the hostess we hadnt been helped all she could say was sorry. Terrible! If I could give negative stars I would.

Sitting here right now, not allowed to go to the outside seating with my daughter cause shes not ten. I ordered fish and chips: the fish is over done and rubbery, the fries arent even warm, but the beer is good. They need better cooks. Update: ended up talking to the waiter, who was great, and the manager apologized, said he talked to the kitchen, and gave me a gift certificate so Id try them again. Thank you

First visit. As an IPA fan, I was let down when told they were out of four beers, two IPAs, a tripel, and something else. No product means no return business from me. There are just too many craft breweries in the area, namely Asheville, that can earn my $500 / month beer tab. Never run out of product. Golden rule in this business. To be fair, their Hop Fiend is a nice brew. I had that before leaving.

The good food and beer didnt make up for the rude staff for me. In particular, the two guys behind the bar were either being inattentive, snobby, or sarcastic. I first asked if I could have one of the ciders on the board and was told "No, get something good." He explained after that they were out of it, which would have been sufficient without the jerky first comment.

Wow! What a great place! Was very excited to come here after looking at the beers they brew on their website. Was blown away. Their beer selection is superb, and the beer itself is fantastic. Another great surprise, was how great their food was as well!! Theyre not expensive either!!!! I will certainly be coming back to Boojum!!

Had dinner and a beer here. The fish and chips were pretty good though I was hoping for better than just regular fries, the fish was fried nicely. My date had the shrimp and grits which was OK. Not bad, but very strong on the tomato flavor. The beer was great and I brought some to out of town friends as well and they enjoyed it.

We went last Sunday Evening. The hostess was very sweet while greeting and seating us. However we sat for almost ten minutes without anyone else saying a word to us, while other patrons went to the bar to get refills. I wish I would have had service, or a simpIe, "Hey, Ill be right with you." I heard the food is quite good.

Big, crowded, noisy bar. Food was nothing special. Seated at a long table with other groups but there are also separate tables and different rooms. There are also a couple of tables right off the street where you can talk to people walking down Main Street. Probably fun for college age and rowdy good-timing types.
